I am now in the market for an amp that goes great with the Q12 I want a mainly Sq system, but still with some hard bass to enchance the sound, I am using all stock speakers and power, I have a 2007 honda accord v6 EX-L, I have been looking at the Memphis 16-1000.1 , but if there is another amp the will suite this sub MUCH better for +/- $75, please let me know? I have heard that the memphis is a a very good and solid amp, but I want to see what else in on the market. thanks C

I've got 3000 watts to play with, and am leaning towards either 2 15" BL's or 2 15" BTL's...which would be the better way to go?? And if i order them tommorrow how long would it take to receive? the only option i'm getting is the p chamfer.

A quick question i am wondering. It says the BL is between the Q and BTL. How is this? Is it more of a SPL sub than the Q? How is the sound quality of the BL? I can't figure out what I wanna go with. I love SPL, so am thinking the BL. I want BTL's but don't know if I wanna drop all the money for electrical upgrades. I know I will have some with the BL, but not sure. Also, I heard the BTLs can actually sound good SQ wise considering they are SPL subs, is this true????

I just realised that the Q was using new basket like these: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...?showtopic=8565 and also there is no logo on the cone itself. Well I prefer the good old looks though. Does this effect all the sub as well?

I want to make sure of this so i know what kind of amps to buy. Are Fi's subs rated before or after impedance rise? This is very important. Giving examples- Audiobahn Eternal rated at 900wrms Audioque HD3 rated at 1000wrms I ran 1 eternal off of a 1250wrms amp and partially damaged it with a test tone for 42seconds with 100% clean signal reading from oscilloscope. the power it was ACTUALLY receiving - 334w! Conclusion - Audiobahn rated this sub before rise. I ran 1 Audioque off of a 2,500w amp and i ran test tones, bass tracks, clipped songs(intentionally) and never damaged the sub. The power it was ACTUALLY receiving - 1,413w. Conclusion - Audioque rated this sub aft…

Hey guys. My first post, so be easy... I just bought a '90 CRX and need some wang for it. I just upgraded to a 160amp alternator and I'm in the process of upgrading the big 3 to 1/0. I have a hifonics BXI1606D and have built a typical CRX box (29 x 29 x 14) with 4 - 4" x 17" aeroports out the back. I have 2 kicker s12L5's that I was going to use, but I just can't get the 18 BL out of my head! I would want it configured as a daily driver, dual 2's, and with the cooling option (which includes the P Chamfer) and Flatwind. Now for the questions: Would the 18 BL work in that box (5.47 cu/ft tuned to 36.5 Hz, if my calculations are correct)? If so, Should I go with a BXI20…

Review of 15” Fi Q After many moths of research I decided to buy an Fi Q. 1) Budget – Fi is extremely reasonably priced, they charge what the price should be, they don’t have an inflated MSRP price to start with 2) Quality – You cannot really beat the quality of an Fi subwoofer, it’s built to last and to perform its best. 3) Sound – What can I say, best sounding subwoofer I have heard in my life, the Fi Q really surprised me. I wanted a subwoofer to get loud and sound great, the box that was designed targeted that and the Q 15 took on the challenge and really surprised me. 4) Customer Support – THE BEST. I recently had a problem with my wiring which caused the sub not to…

i have a pair of fully loaded btl 15s powered by 2 memphis 4kw's. i have entered many db drags and bass races with these sub. in bass race i am in the 149 class with 148.9 db. after 30 seconds of bassrace, i can smell the woofers a bit. then i let it cool and do another run and it smells bit agian. at every comp i am in the lanes 4-5 times for bassrace and 4-5 times burping. but never has the sub died on me. this thing is solid as a rock. scott you are the best. i just thought i'd share my feelings about the btl with everyone else.
