for those who have used them, what are the differences in the SP4 V2 vs the original SP4? i cant find the t/s specs on the original one anymore but the specs on the V2 look nearly the same from memory. i don't think id be able to tell the difference between the two but I'm in a position to possibly sell my old SP4 and considering if its worth selling it to upgrade or not.

i was looking into the X for a client who wants a system installed in her van for her and her sons. i was looking at the X as its a smaller 10" sub that is only 750W but i cant find any real information in how it differences to a Q or SSD. i found plenty of posts stating 350W rms but the website lists 750W rms. i assume there was an older model of this sub. how does this sub differ from a Q, SSD, and BL? secondly i see the BP option which i think means it can take more power but how exactly does this work and how much more power or thermal handling does this add? thanks. edit: quality over volume and a ZX750.1 is what i was looking at for this build.

  6. Can you guys build recone kits for the RE Audio SE and SEX 12 inch subs? Maybe US Amps has the recone kits, but I do not like their subs since they were not the same ever since they were sold to US Amps. I am trying to say that lightly without bashing other companies.

  7. I ordered my 18" Team Fi and need help with box recommendations. I want a box tuned low, just curious a good tuning frequency. I'm gonna push it with a banda 10k in my Toyota celica. I heard that too big of a box can effect output in a negative way. I believe a smaller box could help with spl , but that's not might goal. A daily ground pounder is my focus. I'm debating between ported or 6th order. Any ideas?

A while back I burnt up the leads of my sp4 15 (and only on 2400 watts). The new FOAD leads look cool and all but after seeing a few pictures of them being torn up after daily use, I don't know how they will hold up. Maybe a psi recone would be better? Input or advice please?

Does anyone have the specs for a SSD 15 with the high QTS upgrade? I am looking to use some in a 4th order build and I am trying to model the subs.

Previously I owned a 15" BTL running on a Cadence ZRS C1. The sub was in a ported box tuned around 34hz. I bought a new car and I'm selling my old car, I really enjoyed it and miss it already. In my new car, I'd like to keep the build small and oriented towards quality. I'd like to run 2 10" Fi SSD's on the same amp in a sealed box. I plan on building a box right around 0.4 cubic feet for each sub. Problem is, to run the subs on that mono at 1 ohm, I think need them in DVC 4ohm, will Fi build them like that? Also which options should I get on the subs and why? Thanks guys!

I heard about FI a few years back when living in Florida and have been planning on picking up a pair of 12's to replace my aged JL w6v2's. I have seen a lot of sub-woofers throughout the years but these things are simply amazing. I have them in a 5ft ported box built to specs on only 500 watts of power each from my JL 1000/1. So at less than 1\3 power i am already impressed. When I get my HO alternator in my Durango and get my 0 gauge wire installed I will be grabbing another 1000/1 and running one to each which i'm sure will put a grin on my face.. I will post some install pics up when I get it all cleaned up if anyone is interested.. it's a bit of a spiders nest of wi…

  12. I know there were two different designs of the ferrite sandwich in the UFO driver. Pie shaped slugs and a single slate of ferrite. I heard the single slate had more motor force. If the pie slice and the single slice were ran with the same parts would there be a problem?

Trying to decide on putting one monster sp415 in its own box (5cuft) or having a slightly bigger box and splitting it with 2 BL15s. The SP415 will have the benefit of being in it's biggest recommended box size. I'm planning on doing a blowthrough in my ram 1500, leaning toward the SAZ3500. No competition, just want a nast loud and low daily driver. What do yall think? Thanks for the input.

Hey everyone, new member but I've been lurking for awhile searching for a solution to my bass needs but figured it would be smarter just to tell everyone my situation and get some personal opinions. SO, I'm looking for a single or dual sub/amp setup for my passat and i want to spend no more than $600 on it. What I'm used to: In my s-10 extended cab i have a 10" type r (swr 1042) powered by a 400w rms pioneer and a 12" MTX square (ts85) powered by a 975w rms kenwood amp. The type r is in a .5^3 sealed box and the mtx is in a 1.6^3 vented box tuned to 35hz or so. I enjoy what i have in the s10, works well for dubstep and all flavors of rock which is mostly what i list…

I am trying to figure out my SP4 15's when it comes to how many different wiring options i have. My subs are dual 2 ohm subs and right now i am wired to 1.4 ohms at the amp. Seems i cant wire any lower without the amp going into protect. Was just curious about nominal vs. reactive when it relates to my setup.

I think I saw someone say that the gaps are the same in both these drivers. Reason why I'm asking is this guy has a recone for an N2 selling it at a decent price and I have a UFO motor coming my way. You think I'll run into any issues?

Ok so I'm not sure if anyone has attempted this or not but It crossed my mind as i'm plotting my build. First off let me begin by saying I have an 07 Nox and want the build to stay behind the C pillar. I can use ALL that space. wifey said its ok, tee hee... ANYWHO! So my build plan is only for fun but I'd like it to be competition ready!(never know) I guess it would be an "SQL" build. I want super clean, very loud mids and highs (and lows really). But also want to achieve that nasty ground pounding low end. So SQ and SPL again I guess thats and "SQL" build. I listen to Drum and Bass, Dubstep, Hip-hop and everything else. Hate count…

I was wondering if the SP4 dual 2 ohm sub is actually 2 ohm or less than 2 ohm impedance? I see the RE on the subwoofer is 1.27. Just curious for wiring options.

Hi, Are there accurate Klippel measurements of the Sp4 18 and the Team 18 avalible (dual 2ohm version)? I am also interested in the "Le" value from these Subwoofers, it is hard to simulate accurate without this parameter. Regarding the options of these modells (cooling/space spider) do they change the TS parameters? Looking at the TEAM Series, could you explain what this feature is: "flux flow derived back plate geometry" is this a kind of inductance ring to flattening the top end response or some other technic to reduce the inductance ?

I'm hoping to pick up a Sundown SAZ 2500 DV2 amplifier, I wanting to get two 12's, money really isn't the deciding factor, but I'm wondering which ones, and set up how, anyone have experience, especially with this amp, it'd be my first one. I've been out the scene for a WHILE, and want to get NICE stuff, hear real good stuff bout FI subs.

I want to get really loud. I already have 2 fosgate p2d2 12s on 1100rms but i want to be louder... I listen to alot of rap, dubstep, and here and there i'll listen to metal. At the moment i'm able to turn the subs down for metal using the remote, yet when listening to rap i just want to be louder but still keep the sound quality for metal. Which setup is louder? The 2 ssd 12s or a bl 18 fully loaded? Either one i would put on 2000watts
