I have a RF t1000bdcp which puts out 1400 watts at 2ohms. so i went to hook it up and play it with the gain set half way no bass boost and the infrasonic filter is set at 28hz with a box tuning of 33hz at 2.5cbft. What is the current status of the Fi IB3-18? I've recently received (4) of them, and I'm considering purchasing more and I'm curious as to their availability. Are there production changes being made that somehow impact the IB3-18? Are there operational changes that your able to share publically? I just think you've got a great thing going, and I don't want my source for IB drivers to change in any way. Regardless, you've got a fantastic operation, and even prior to completing my HT IB build I'm really digging these drivers. Thank you and good luck

I know there have been a lot of these but I just wanted to see what you guys thought. I was deciding between the q or bl for the trunk of my Camry and the biggest box I could build was 3.04 cubic feet tuned to 33hz with 9.3in per foot of port area(6in precision port). I went with a Q because I read they worked well in smaller enclosures. I do want to get loud but I figured the Q would do that better just because of the limited space and I figured the BLs had to really breathe. And when I say loud i don't mean like competitions or anything just at the rated 1500rms. Do you guys think I made the right choice for that enclosure?

I used to have a pair of Kicker CXV 12s sealed in 1.2 cubes each chamber powered off my JBL GTO 1201.1 II amp (puts out 1100 watts at 2 ohms) and they had a good amount of output and sounded ok but nothing spectacular. I know they would have sounded alot better with more power, like a SAZ 1500D. Which do you feel would get louder with the SAZ 1500D and the same sealed enclosure?

Ordered this bad boy on black Fiday and it's finally here! It was funny watching the UPS guy strain his back while he carried the box to the front door. After opening the box and unscrewing the top cover I was surprised by how beefy the sub was for a 12. The cone was extremely stiff to push down and the size of the magnet is huge. Unfortunately I won't be able to power the sub until the new enclosure is finished and the rest of the car is set up. Anyway here are some pics of the new toy.

Alright, so my buddy has two Kicker CVRs in a 4.5cubic foot ported enclosure tuned to 38hz (a little high, yeah, but it still sounds alright), getting 500watts RMS each. Would upgrading to a Fi woofer increase SPL and/or SQ in a noticeable manner, considering they will still be getting 500watts each, 1000watts total, and would be in the same enclosure as the CVRs are now (at least temporarily)? If so, what would be the best sub? In not a noob so no need to baby me, but im not an expert either so go easy xP

not sure how familiar you guys are with fi on here, ran just about every sub they have had since back in 08 but check this out, when the N3 launched it was around 530 give or take your model i know this because i purchased a 15" BUT NOW ITS 800 DOLLARS!!!!!! as seen here https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraudio.com/sess/utn154fab58ee6eb3b/shopdata/0050_Speakers/0010_BTL/0070_N3/product_overview.shopscript now wait let me guess... this is what the reply will be NEO cost has gone up (which is absolutely true) cost of labor, other misc materials has gone up and the original--WE innovate, we design, we are god, we created subs, we are the best (which is mostly true) PLUS we …

Fella's, today i decided to put some volume to my FI BL 12's and noticed very quickly that the dust caps got hot. I know it has to be one of three things. Either the amp is giving too much power to the subs, The amp is clipping or the voice coils are wired incorrectly?? I never noticed this until today. Any ideas?

I was originally wanting to get two 12" SSD's, but now that the SP4 line is out idk. i can get one 12” SP4 for about the same price as two SSD, my question to yall is which is a better buy? What will i be more pleased with? Which one hits harder? Which one sounds better? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  21. Alright, so hows this for a comparison. Both setups would be on 4,000 watts rms. Both would be ported to optimal space. Aside from the Q's costing less, what would you expect the differences to be? Also, both applications would be tuned low to optimize the low end. Most likely 27-28 hz tuning. Q's louder around the 30hz and under, Bl's louder on the 30hz and higher notes? That's all I can think of. Honestly though would the differences at 30hz even be really that noticeable? I'm trying to advise a friend of mine who is interested in building with Fi products. These would be 15's, by the way. Maybe 12's if the space ends up not accommodating. This is going in a walled…

The X is a 10, the BTLs are 12s. I haven't put any power to them, I just got home at 9 and unboxed them. I might do some free air to one tomorrow only off of about 900 watts though. The suspension on the BTL is super stiff, you have to push very hard on the cone just to get it to move a centimeter. The build quality is fantastic, clearly American made. I put a bag of screws up against the neo, well when I try to pull the bag of screws off, the plastic came off but all the screws still stuck on and it took some effort to get them off. The dustcap on the BTL has a flat finish and I like it much more than the X. On the bottom of the motors it has a neat little acrylic plate …

Hello guys new to the forum, but hopefully stay here for a while. I have 2 old Rockford 15" Power HX2s but when I put them in my new car (09 Lancer) I never bolted them down and the other day I accelerated and they slid to the back of the trunk and one of the subs moving hit the back of the trunk lid and got rockfcked up. Anyways the system was cool in my other car but it was just too big for this car anyways so I was selling it. I have been looking around now and I think my best bet is to go with Fi. I have a Rockford P1000-1BD (1000RMS @ 1ohm) amplifier which I plan to use when I buy the Fi. Anyways on the birthsheet the amplifier is 1471 RMS @ 1 ohm so this is the mai…

Hello there audio enthusiasts! I have a single FiQ 10, stock options except it has the High QTS. I am running it in a sealed box with 0.7 cuft of total volume, minus the Q's 0.12cuft of displacement. Sub Box It is powered by a Alpine MRP-M500, It is a Dual 1 Q with the voice coils in series for 2 Ohms. Ok, this sub is beautiful. I really do like it aesthetically, and it is a terrific sounding sub. My only real complaint is that I can't seem to get any real oomph out of it. I realize it is a SQ, but i have had 90$ subwoofers at a fraction of the power pound louder. When I first installed the sub and amp, I couldn't even get any noise out of it hardly until the amp's gain w…
