  4. Ok so here's the deal. This is my wall design for my two 18in. fully loaded btls that will be running 3000rms a piece. I have never done a wall build before so I'm hoping i somewhat got it. EVERYTHING is double baffled 3/4in. mdf . In the 1st picture showing the front plate it looks double baffled its only supposed to be single " which i just fixed and im to lazy to take and upload another picture" due to the fact that there will be another front vanity plate to go around the curves in the car all nice and snugly. The box is , 15.7341 ft³ BEFORE DISPLACEMENT 15.2141 ft* after sub displacement displacement port is 6 inches in height width is 29.224 in…

Buddy of mine has 2 bl 18's ran off 1 sundown 2500d, he has them in slot port now in about 12.5 cubes gross. They sound decent, but dont really have the lows, and its tuned to 32hz. He wants new box with 4 6" aeros's in about 16 cubes net tuned to 32hz. How does this sound for size? I ran 2 bl 18's about 2 years ago off 2 sundown 1500d's in about 18 cubes net with slot port and they pounded the lows, and sounded perfect. I just havent done any builds with aero ports.

with 2K RMS should i go with a BL or a BTL ??? i hear most people run their BTL at like 4k rms or 3k rms and i would rather run a BTL if it wont be vastly underpowered....i was reading on the forum and i think it was tejcurrent who ran 2 18" BTL's off of 2 hifonics 2K RMS amps and hit right below 151. so if i ran 2k to a Bl would it get just as loud as 2k on a BTL ?

Alright, I have a MTX Thunder 2150 and MTX 7000 12 in sealed pre-fab as a temporary setup in my 08 extended cab Sierra. Signal is off stock Bose HU rear driver speaker on a LOC. Needless to say I want a bit more oomph along w/ a my passenger seat back. Also, I believe I'm getting a full signal there but if someone knows otherwise please let me know. So I am willing to give up my rear center seat space, and am looking to do a small box behind the center console rather than downfiring under a seat. I am thinking a FI SSD 10 combined w/ a used MMATS, or possibly a new American Bass amp around 1000 to 1250 rms (and yes, I'll consider a used Sundown). Want to keep it US made b…

I have a BL 15 dual 2 ohm wired to 1 ohm. How would I find the resistance? On the specs page it says it is 1.5 ohms, but since I have it wired to 1 ohm would it be different? I am kind of lost as to what my target voltage should be. Sorry I am just starting in the car audio scene so pardon my noob question

I took the plunge and bout a BL 12 with Cooling, Flatwind, and Internal Leads. It will be powered with a MB Quart MB Quart Q1.1500D giving it 1500w RMS @ 1ohm. I now need to design a box that will fit in my trunk. The cutout that they have listed on the forum might work in my trunk but I would like to design one myself. I was thinking somewhere between the 2-2.5cuft (after sub and port displacement) and a slotted port tuned to 32Hz. It seems that every online calculator gives different results or has a cuft value that is crazy high. I was wondering what the actual formulas are for finding port length given the port area and desired port tuning? and any other formulas /…

Bought a new Fi Q 12 and i was wondering if you guys could help me out with the enclosure, i have a hatchback its a golf with Cdt es-520 with upstage up front and cl-61a in the rear powered by a Directed 1100d5 and strapped to 600d for 1200watts @ 2ohm for the sub. i listen to wide range of music but mostly reggae, hip-hop, r&b, rap, pop, and some classics. My goal is sound quality but i would also like it to be loud at the same time without sacrificing sound quality and with that said would a sealed or ported enclosure best suit my hatchback. Thanks guys!!!

I didn't take into account where I was going to put my amp when designing this box (which is going to take up my ENTIRE trunk...so I had to pull one of the walls in slightly and that brought me down to only 4.7 cubes net after port and sub displacement...is that too small? Will I see any adverse affects?

Hello all. I am currently running my 10" Fi ssd woofer in custom built ported box (sub up/port back). I love it! I have a kid on the way and would like to switch to a smaller sealed box for more space. I have a couple of questions: 1. Can purchase a prefab box that meets the recommened specs? 2. What size would be optimal? .6-1 cubic feet is what is recommended but would it be better to stay on the .6 side or the 1 cubic foot side? Thank you in advance...

I hit a 140.4 with a sine wave... I then hit a 139.9 with music... Is this just because I didnt burp it? It seems as though the Sine wave and the Music are way to close.. Im just curious is all and would like to know before I go and re meter with the new box...
