Received my 2 fi BL 12s yesterday, I'm very satisfied with em but I believe they will get a lot louder in a different box design, I currently have a 34w x 15h x 20d "maximum size box that'll fit" with a slotted port on each side of the subs, I'm unsure on length of port its been 3 months since I built it, believe im tuned around 34hz, I'm running 2 1500's strapped "1ohm per amp" n 2 yellow tops, anyone willing to design a box that's no bigger then the dimensions above as far as tuning I'm thinkin 32hz I listen to rap music n demo with decafs any help is highly appreciated

all right so i currently have 1 12" bl 2008 model and im thinking up my new set up and im throwing some things aorund. i was thinking one 15" btl or 1 12" BTL but then i remembered that 2 12" BL's should be louder than a single BTL and i was just thinking how much louder would 2 12" BL's be compared to 1 12" bl. It would be 2 12" BL in a custom ported enclosure in the trunk of a little cavalier 2 door. it would be 2.5 cu ft per sub with 39 sq inches of port per sub and a tuning of 32, and on a rockford 2500 (be approximatly 1400-1500 per sub rms) compared to a single 12" bl in a 2.5 cu ft after displacment tuned to 34 hz with 39 sq inches of port. also on a rockford 150…

okay so I have posted on here a time or two before when first acquiring my FI audio speakers. I am driving a 2010 Chevy Malibu two fully loaded 12" Fi Q's, built for a sealed enclosure due to the lack of space to slide a box in the trunk. I have a Brutus BRZ 2400 hooked up to them, running them wired down to 1 ohm resistance. I also have a kinetic 2400 battery, nothing done to battery up front or alternator. 0 gauge knukoncepts ran throughout This is my daily driver and i run the system every time im on the road (on highways for 2.5+ hours a day) the RMS rating for these subs is 1500 apiece if i remember correctly, and from what I have heard, added resistance when turnin…

I've been looking for T/S perams for the FI BTL 18. Searching to no avail I need some help. The reason I need the numbers is to plug them into Termpak so I can design an enclosure for a forum buddy. Any help would be very much appreciated. I need the following: fs (in hz) Qts Vas (in cu.ft.) Xmax (in inches) znom (depends on coil config. I am aware) Pe (rms watts) Spl (in db @ 1w/1m)

I am running 3 Fi Q15's. The box is 10.2cuft internal after port and sub displacement. The port is 5" x 28.5" and 26.25" long. Is that a proper amount of port area? That should put my tuning right around 32hz.

ok, I'm about to attempt to build my first enclosure for Fi Q 12. 1.9ft ^3 tuned 30hz. Where can I get demensions and what items do I need. Such as brands of glue, type of screws, etc. If I Take mesurements to Home Depo, Will they cut the pieces for me? Is it difficult to make a Enclosure, I read that its pretty easy.

I am trying to construct a ported box for the driver’s console of a 2007 Malibu VLX wakeboard boat. I would like to install an Fi BL12 and push it with a Kicker 1000.1 amplifier in 2 ohms. The dimensions of the box I plan to build are as follows 18” wide x 18” deep x 18.5” high. I am going to use a PSP (Precison Sound Products) port tuned to 32hz. Is this box size adequate for this sub? Will this sub be ok in this environment? (ie. 100% humidity, maybe a few drops of water and a little bit of full sun). Any tips and advice would be much appreciated. I am use to building only sealed boxes, so ports are totally unfamiliar territory for me, but I’m willing to learn. T…

I am having problems with my btl's. It just started recently, when i listen to music the subs start to make loud popping sounds, Instead of a flow of bass they pop. But if i play just a tone then they seem to be fine.

Any reason my first SSD with D1 copper coils suspension is way looser than my newer one which is about a month older? I know there would be a difference because of the break in period and that eventually the new one would soften up slightly to sit like the old one but the newer one has a firmer suspension as oppose my old one and worries me that it may be a possible problem with my old sub. I got the first sub in february and the second one in march and have beating on them since day one but the second seems to have a better suspension than the old one? Please let me know what the deal is?

What have you found to be a "sweet spot" for your 12" Q??! i'm running a SAE 1000D to it at 1 ohm. with BP option. i'm looking for both sealed and ported enclosure sweet spots. share your views here. by sweet spot i'm talking about where it makes you jizz when you hear it. come on don't hold back. i want it to be loud, but clean and tight, just like our women!.. well with the exception of the loudness, thats no good with the ladies lets hear it!

Can someone answer this question for me; I see that they offer a lot of upgrades, but each one will affect the parameters and driver's behavior. It would be nice if they offered updated parameters and more information on each of these upgrades. Adding mass to the assembly, then adding spiders and changing spider packs, changing coil assemblies, and materials etc, does quite a bit to affect the driver's behavior, from altering moving mass and resonant frequency, causing QES changes, and inductance variances to causing shifts in the CMS curves... All these things really affect the driver's behavior as a whole, the way it will sound, and they even affect the enclosure design…

alright im dead set on the 12" SSD and then i heard this for a review... "i hated my ssd's my two 10 d6's will beat the piss out of them all day long(the ssd's were 12's). I've had a D6 12 as well and it sounded better than the ssd's. I will never buy and FI product again. One of my woofers was DOA when I get it. Then I had to pay to send it back then pay for the repairs and to ship it back. Then the woofer worked for like 2 weeks and the same problem happened AGAIN! So I threw them away. I was never impressed by the subs they were just mediocre. They sounded alright but there was some notes they didn't get and they didn't dig very low at all. I had about 750 going to ea…

Hi guys ! I was wondeering if can all help me out.. I purshased 2 12' Fibtl Fully loaded and after all I descided to try on with 1 first . I hoocked it up to a Hifonics Colossus XXV and wired it a 1ohm ...after like 5 minutes of playing time...the sub was working on and off. To me it looks like when it gets warmed up the sub completly stops working...but if I leave it cool off..it will work for a minimal amount of time. My amps never lost power and always stayed on. Do you guys think I blew the sub ??? or should I try to rewire the sub to a higher ohm ??? Thanks for all your inputs and help on getting my problem resolved !

my cousin has two tc9 12" subs that are blown. We were wondering if we could order baskets for 15" SSD recones to fit on the magnets. As far as the mounting screws go, they should about all be the same mounting area, correct? Do you think this would work, right recone?
