Obviously, you can already tell I am major noob at all this, but learning. I am getting the 4 15" BL's when I save up enough to do everything. What I need to know is what Ohm do I need to pick for the BL's. I have yet to get a amp. I was hoping to run 2 amps, maybe the Kicker 2500.1, but not sure. Any and all info on what Ohm setting and amp I should get would make my day better. Thanks.

Hey guys, i need another recone for my MT. Im looking for dual 1.4, optimized for use with 2 powerbass xa3000d's. I want stiff but not super stiff, i was thinking quad spider, 2 stiff, 2 med stacked alternatly, with heavy duty tinsel. If you guys have another idea im open to it. Lemme know please need it asap. BTW itll be shipped to ontario canada.

i have a FI bl 15,cooling,daily, universal d1, im (thinking of) adding another bl to my car (not like i really need it ) but is there i could wire 2 d1's down to 1 ohm?( wouldnt it end up at 1/4 of an ohm? or 4 ohms) i don't think you can but, hey theres always hope(or none) but i was thinking about getting an excessive amperage alt like a 250 amp, run 0g wire front to back add a kinetik battery all KnuKonceptz wire, with maybe a crunch or hifonics amp Ideas or comments?

hey i was just wondering what would be a good amp to run 2 18 in BTL off of for my 2002 chevy avalanche and does anyone know if everything necessary will fit? right now i have 2 12 in alpines back there.

After hearing a BTL for the first time yesterday i have decided that i want one, really bad. I will only be pushing 2000 watts to each sub in a daily setup (no comps). Is there any point in getting the high XMax coil, does this loosen up the suspension for better SQ. the BTL that I saw was only getting 1500 watts and didnt seem to flex much so im not sure if the high xmax coil would really do anything. I'm about to recone my N2s, as well as changing the size of the basket. Shipping is over $160 to Fi and back and that's a real bank breaker for a poor guy like myself. How easy is it to change the basket on the N2s, and is it easy enough to recone a sub by an average joe?

i am looking to get some ssq subs whether their 12 or 15's i dont know yet. i want to get the amp first then the subs. i cant stand when people do it the other way around. i was looking at the alphasonik pma 1200da. the amp is 1500 watts @4 ohms, 2000 watts @2 ohms and 3000 watts @1 ohm. ive heard people say these are good amps but i want to know if the wattage is true. or even if they are crap. i would run the the 2 dual 2 ohm subs parallel to one ohm then series em to make 2 ohms combined. at 1600 watts rms for the two i would be giving them 2000 watts with the amp at 2 ohms. is it smart to purchase this amp or should i search around. can some one help me? or give advi…

Hey guys, I have an 18" BL running at about 1200 watts and this thing moves air. I've had some problems with my rear deck flapping up and down no matter how much I seal it off. It seems air is always getting into it. It will even start shaking my rear seats and moving them in and out (they are foldable). My rear speakers currently are a sealed speaker. In such that they are an older JBL pair I got from a friend's lincoln. So the cone isn't being moved or anything by the air. I don't ever use rear fil, i just threw them in there to help seal up the rear deck and so on. I know a guy selling a BTL motor, he said it was custom machined for 1.4 ohm coils, this sub could only be reconed to 1.4 VC's correct? And would I have to order a custum recone kit for it being it is an unstandard 1.4 VC vs the standard 2 ohm or 1 ohm vc's?

So about a year ago, I had bought the 12" Q, had a 1.8 cu ft box @32hz built, and recently just purchased the sundown audio sae-1200d v2. The Q sounds freakin amazing, but I was at a car show this weekend, and a guy with 2 12" alpine type R's ported had beaten my output, with the same wattage. Whats the best kind of wood I can use to get the full preformace out of a 18'' FI.BTL with these specs? Dual 2 Ohm,Cooling,HiXm Coil,Induct heat ring,And Daily option. I plan on buying four!!! Also the recommended option is 2000 Rms but Steve Meade told me he gives his 5000 Rms each he has four also. I have a 15" BTL fully loaded with 4000 wrms in the back of my jeep cherokee it is in a audio enhancers box right now. It is loud but I believe it could be way louder with the right box can anyone hook me up with some plans? Thanks in advance.

so Im trying something new with my truck, I have an ext cab s-10 with a hole in the back...a big one... I can fit 2 12'ss, have about 8 cubes to work with(preferably a little less), and 3000 watts of power. I really want to give fi a try after having some trouble with my previous subs. Im lost as to which to go for the BL SSD or the Q, all seem to be a good choice to me for my application. Im going to go ported for sure, around 35hz. I currently have an RE SX 15, 5.5 cubes at 33hz, on a jbl bp1200.1 My new one will be a single fully loaded BTL 18, 8 cubes, exactly 119 sq inches port area, at 33hz. It will be fed by a Hifonics Colossus (3200rms at 2). All power/ground will be 1/0 KnuKoncepts Kollosus cable (5000+ strands), Optima Yellowtop up front, Iraggi Amputator 175 idle/220 at 1400, possibly another yellowtop in the rear later on. Box will be 48Lx24.5Dx18.5Hl, with an internal dimentions of 46.5x23x17, with a 7x17" port (119sq inches port area) and 28" long. The port itself (with MDF included) will take up approxi…

I finally picked up the pre cut pieces of the box I designed using the RE enclosure calculator, but I would like to verify which port length will be ideal for tuning the 2.0 Cubic ft. box between 30-33 HZ? I know the RE calculator is not really accurate so, here's my box measurements: Width = 23" Depth = 15" Height = 15" Volume = 2.0 Cubic ft. Port width = 1.5" Here's the pic of the box. The length of the port inside the L shape port is what I would like to verify. Now, should I go with 12" or 5" port length?
