over a year ago i purchased my 2 fi btl n2 15's fully loaded, and because i waited 4 months to get em, i didnt wanna wait to install, so i went to a local shop to have a box built and installed, it was supposed to cost around 500, but ended up being 800 when i left, a few months later i got into a small fender bender and the box fell just fell appart, i took it back for repairs and they said the could do it for 100, so i did it annnnd, nothing was really fixed except they just re positioned it, it has been un hooked after the alternator they sold me died, i and just gave up at that point. recently i have decided to rebuild and everything with the help of my uncle cause i …

I have a 15" BTL fully loaded with 4000 wrms in the back of my jeep cherokee it is in a audio enhancers box right now. It is loud but I believe it could be way louder with the right box can anyone hook me up with some plans? Thanks in advance.

Been away from car audio for a bit and was curious what some others thought about this..... I found a pre-fab box that is made for higher output subs and seems to match up with the requirements for the BTL15. Here's the stats for it. Brand: AudioEnhancers Single 15 Inch: Yes Vented: Yes Tuned Bandpass: Yes Includes Terminal Cups: Yes Fits Round Sub(s): Yes Constructed With: 1" MDF Enclosure Volume: 4.87 Cu. Ft Dimensions: W 34 1/2 H 19 3/4 TD 16 1/2 BD 16 1/2 It's has 83 inches of port area, which equals out to about 17 sq inches per, just a hair more than what the site recommends. I just ordered a FI ssd 12 inch subwoofer, a Kicker zx750.1 amp, and 4 ga wire kit. I previously built a 4.0 cu ft box out of 3/4 mdf. I was wondering if the ssd would be alright in this box. Also how long would the port need to be if using 3" dia. pvc pipe so it is tuned to 33 hz? Thanks.

Hello all. I have just found out about Fi yesterday. Seems like a solid product. Everywhere I read everyone has positive things to say about them. I am in the market for new audio toys in my truck. Stumbled on this website and thought id ask some of you gurus about some suggestions. Some info for you. I have a 05' Single Cab Dodge Ram 1500. I have taken down some measurements of what the enclosure "could" be up to. I would like if possible a slight wedge box so I can still lean my passenger seat back a little. what is the formula to determine how much longer a port needs to be with kerfs? i intend to have 1 3" kerf on top and a 2.5" kerf on the port bend. anyone have any links? thanks.

placed an order this weekend for a 12" BL that will be running off of a hifonics 1606. i've drawn out plans for a box thats 2.33@33hz w/33 sq. in. of port area (haha). will the hifonics be enough to push the sub? i can go bigger on the box to let it use the power a bit more efficiently, but whats your guys' opinions on this? anyone w/experience as to exactly how much power the hifonics is capable of putting out?

Can somone toss me a few opinions on a sub box for a fully loaded Fi Bl 15. the max height of 16, with of 35, and depth of any. i used the 12volt.com port and box calculater. i typed in a 35 width,16 height, 16 depth. if came out to be around 4 cubes.with a port lenght of about 25, port with of 3inches i dont know if that right... i wanting to make a box for a tuneing of 30 or 32hz. i also used the RE calulater.. but it dont seem right... can some one help me out. toss in your opnion? i have a 1500 watt amp,i want listen to some bassy songs, mostly rap.

Has anyone on here made a box for any of the bl woofers on here from the box cut forum? I have never made a box before and found that cut sheet page and if it saves me $300 by not going to a car audio store to have one built I think I would give it a shot. ok i curently own a hifonics 5000 watt... i have owned it 4 months... 1 month it sat in my spare bedroom. and for 3 months it has been at CIA engineering.. waiting to get fixed.. i got to play it for about 30 seconds before it popped...... so far i see this hifonics as being a very very unstable amp... im a daily driver bass head, should i keep the hifonics... or sell it and get TWO jl 1000/1's one for each sub i have 2 fully loaded fi bl's 3 yellow tops. all 0 gauge wire, 200 amp alt. nc2 deck and any advice would be helpfull thank you!

Hello all, Havent been on the forums for a while but Im doing a new build and need some recommendations. I was thinking of purchasing 2 Q10" subs and installing them in .8cu ft enclosures. These enclosures are Subthump stealth boxes that fit behind the wheel wells of a 2010 Camaro. I have a few questions. 1) Whats the diameter of the magnet on the 10" Q? The max magnet diameter of this box design is 6.75". Will it fit? And do any of the build options change the magnet size? (cooling option. pchamfer, etc.) 2) The specs on Fi's website recommend .2-.5 cuft after displacement with the high qts option. The boxes I'm looking at are .8cuft. So I just ordered an Fi Q 12" a few days ago. I only got the cooling option, didn't think the others would really be necessary. I also ordered an Audioque AQ1200D to push it. Only thing I still haven't made up my mind about is the enclosure. I do have limited trunk space, the recommended Q 12" ported box in the cut sheets thread will fit my trunk exactly with no room to spare. Sealed would be fine, but I really want to go ported. The car is an 09 GTI. Music would mostly be drum n bass, dubstep, other electronic music, basically a mix of lows and highs. I could either go sealed or a smaller ported box. I just want the clarity and crispiness along with being able to be hear…

I have read a little about recommendations for size of sealed enclosures for the Q. Does anyone have some examples that they have built or used? I am not really sure how to figure out the cubes either. I know that sounds stupid, but I left math back in college. One last thing, what does "tuning to x-hz," mean? Hello, I'm planning on building my first system and I am wondering what specifications I should get on my FI 15'' BTL. I want to get it to 1 ohm, so would I go with dual 1 or dual 2? I am going to buy an AudioQue 2200D, it is 1 ohm stable. I am going to do the Big 3 once I buy a new HO alternator. Any tips and/or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I bought a used 18" ssd from a buddy.. I sorta wanted to due a sealed box with it but I was told you need the copper coil option to be able to due a sealed box.. I just didnt know if there was any way to tell. Any help appreciated alot

Does the 15" BL need to be in a 4cf enclosure to work well or can it be used in the smallest recommended enclosure which is 3cf without sacrificing anything?

Hey finally making some progress and decided to get the Q instead of BTL which will be here on the 3rd. Just wondering whats a good amp to power it at around 1000w-1500w at a 2ohm load. Also what are some good .5ohm stable amps out there and about how many watts would I be looking at running it at .5 instead of 2ohm Plan on going with around a 3cu ported box tuned at around 32hz to go in a 03 honda civic coupe. Hi, I'm for sure a newbie, especially when making boxes, I just ordered my first Fi product ever, the 18" SSD, and i'm super excited. Probably to excited to be honest but I have a question about my box. I used RE's box calculator and tried to make it fit perfectly in my vehicle, I wanted the box tuned to 30 hz and I did all that. The thing that I'm worried about is if my sub is going to move to easily and I'll end up damaging my woofer D: The box size is 5.6 cubic feet and tuned to ~30.7Hz. The port is 3" wide and 22.5" tall, and its a slot port. The port area is 67.5 square inches I can give all exact dimensions if needed. Thanks in advance!

is a single 4"ID x 5.5"L port enough for an SSD 15 in 3.5cu ft. the box will be tuned to 33. trying to finish up the details on my enclosure and i keep questioning this.

I am looking into buying the 15 or 18. I would like to say that I would rather get the 18, but that's not true. I want to get whatever will promote the best response with my trunk size. I have a 03 grand prix, and the height of the trunk is only 17 inches. The maximum dimensions the box width and length can be are 35 x 30. My main question is if the surround of the sub is only 1 1/2 to 2 inches away from the lid, will that decrease my response? With the 18 the dimensions would be 15 tall x 35 wide x 29 deep with the port firing into the cab tuned at 33hz. Will smaller actually give me the most bass? I'm not worried about SQ, just spl... ok so i just bought an 18" fi btl fully loaded dual 1ohm....i originally wanted my box to be 40"x30"x20" with a port size of 10"x18" (which would pretty much take up my whole trunk space) tuned to 35hz ....but ppl tell me thats probably too big...its goin in a lincoln navigator...can anybody PLEASE just tell me if thats ok or too big or what it is that i have to fix to make my sub hit HARD! also how should i face my sub and port? i originally thought both up, but i heard sub facing up and port facing the rear is better, is this true? ok well first off i working with a hifonics 2000 watt brutus for now...hopefully a saz3000d soon...i listen to mostly rap but pretty much e…
