Just placed an order for my 15" BL Anyone willing to help me with a box design? Trunk Dimensions Estimating: 36 x 36 x 18 width = 36 in. length = 36 in. height = 18 in.

I want to buy Q 10's. I am looking at ported box specs and there is a pretty wide range. I am looking for flat response and good SQ with a punch. I listen to metal and rap mostly depending on the day. They will each get 1000 watts in the trunk of Grand Prix. i was looking to do 28.75 sq inches of port for both, will that be enough, or will i benefit from upping it to 31.625

I'm going atleast a 7cuft box tuned to somewhat 30-35hzt range. I'm building my own box and the subs aren't here yet. According to UPS the subs weigh in at 54lbs each. I'm simply asking if i should double baffle the box?

i would like to ask about the best enclouser firing direction for this truck? i have a 4 cb. box tuned to 32 hz. sub and port facing the same same way, but facing it forward it puts the port to close to the back of the seat and firing it up flexs the top unreal! can anyone help me with suggestions on a goob enclouser build for a silverado ext. cab truck with a loaded bl 15 on 1500 watts? music prefrence is rock and rap bass tones... thanks for all suggestions...also i would like for it to be loud and hit hard as possible and keep the enclouser size to around 4 cb. tuned to 32 hz. again thanks...

Does anyone know what the F3 for a pair of X 10's sealed in 1cft will be? Will be at 800~900 wrms for the pair. I listen to metal-hard rock, with the occasional techno/hiphop just for show off. Trying to save some space and these woofers call for some tiny sealed numbers so I think this is the way to go.

What's the best way to solder the tinsel leads onto the terminals with these new recones that have the leads coming out of the spiders. There are 4 lead wires for each positive and each negative. I think its obvious I won't be able to fit them through the ring on the terminal, so how should they be soldered? Should some slack be left?

Please tell me this is a warranty issue...? It happened last night noticed one sub quit, kind of looks like the wire was to short, there are no rips in the speaker just a broke wire? this is a Q 10.

ok hello everyone, i dont know if this is the right topic for this forum but im starting to pull my hair out looking for a good solution.... i have a 1990 toyota celica gt does anybody know of a good high output alternator for this car? i would be happy with a 150 amp or higher my budject is 350 ive looked at ohio,mechaman,irragi,denso,powermaster and couldnt find anything those are the brands most people reccomend. i dont want to buy a brand i have no knowledge of and be a piece of crap. powerbastard has import universal one but ive heard bad reviews any body have a solid solution or idea? greatly appreciated..

Just got my 18" Q w/BP in the mail yesterday. (thx scott). Next week is spring break and I need a box design for the back of a 97 blazer. I have about 8 cubes to work with. Accordman from steavemeadeforums told me to go 6.3 ft^3 and 90 in^3 of port, which results in a 32-33 hz tuning. I have never worked with 18's before, and I've heard certain boxes for 18" Q's can really restrict their output. I only have about 1000 watts RMS from a bxi1206d to work with for now, but plan on upgrading to 1400watts rms. My goal is to make a well balanced box. Not pure SPL or superlow tuning for SQ. So there is someone selling a blown 15" icon and i was thinking of picking it up. I was wondering if I could recone it with Q coils and put it in a 3 cu fu. @ 32 Hz? Would this work or am i just thinking to crazy? also how much would a 15" Q recone cost to 94803? thanks

Hey everyone ! I got the aq1200d and the 15" BL ready but i made a ported box that i want to make smaller for more room in the trunk and its just a pain to get in. I was just wondering what is the smallest ported box measurements I could use to get as much as i can out of the sub while being tuned to around 32-33 hz. Please help! thnx

hi guys. i was just wondering if anyone has a BTL18 in their trunk? i will be looking for a new or used car this weekend, and i want to be able to fit a decent sized box in the trunk. i really don't want to go with a hatchback, van or SUV right now i have a 2.8 cubic foot box with a fosgate t115d4 and its not loud enough for me. i will be ordering a 15 or 18 inch BTL18 before the end of the month. i want a 5 to 8 cubic foot enclosure to fit.

Been debatin on 3 10" bls or 1 15" BTL off of 4Kw. I'm thinkin about goin with 1 15" BTL so i got some questions. What options do i need exactly for the following scenario? - It's for daily, tuned to 33hz, running off of 4kw of power. No SPL but i will be playing, sometimes, bass tracks for show off purposes. So my parents are not goin to let me put my new fi btl 18 fully loaded in the cab of my truck. i want to know if run the port into the cab if it will have close to the same output. It is a 7.97 ft3 box at 30 hz. I know it wont b as loud but how much will it effect it.

anyone used there Q in a sealed box then switched to a low tuned ported 'round 29-30 hz or vice-vesa ported then sealed? if so how did it sound and the pros and cons. besides the ported being louder. was thinking of using a single 15 ported tuned low. but if sealed is more musical or sounds better ,can i make up the ouput loss by using 2 sealed

What is the recommended amount of port area for an SSD with copper Coils? Think I need to build another enclosure but I want to get everything panned out before I do so..
