I know no one probably knows really for the 09 lineup but would the BL 15 really get THAT much louder than the 12 if they were both fully loaded? Or would it be a noticeable difference? I want to know if it's worth waiting however much longer for the 15, or if i should just order the fudgeing 12 cuz im sick of waiting lol.

hi all i have been planing a blowthru on my 01 tacoma using two fi q 18s and two soundstream trx2000ds. now i have come up with a few ideas for a box but was wondering if there were any pros out ther that would like to offer up some advice. i was thinking of having one sub on either side with a center slot port ond a combined volume of 22 cubes tuned to 28 hz. also i have heard pete from ttb has some great designs but he hasnt gotten back to me yet thanks

Ok guys heres the situation. I ordered a BL 15 with cooling and flat wind dual 2 ohm. I'm building a box myself and having trouble on what to do with the port. The box is planned at 3.76 ft^3 with the woofer displacement added in. Its recommended to have 12-16 sq in of port per cube so i need anywhere from 45-60 sq in of port. I want to just maybe slap a 3x6 aero port or maybe a 4x6 aero port. The 3x6 is 42 sq in and the 4x6 is 75. Both not in the range i need. Also looked on amazon and found precision ports 3 in and a 4 in round. Doesn't say the length on them tho . Reviews say there adjustable somehow. Help would be appreciated. Hey I tried doing a search...I kept getting an error anyone know the specs on a TC7 motor?? I am probably going to buy one because of a good deal on it. What size coil does it fit?? Will a standard 12 spoke basket fit it???

i have four btl 18s. is it safe to try to drill the terminals to make them just a little bit wider? i cant fit a full piece of 8 gauge into one terminal, i have to trim it just a little bit. and trying to fit two 8 gauge wires into one terminal i might as well just use 12 or 14 gauge because i have to trim the 8 gauge down so much its ridiculous. how bout taking either a unibit/varibit/stepbit (call it what u want), or a slightly bigger drill bit and try to make them bigger? extremely bad idea and i'm gonna end up needing to replace something because i'll break something? or be very careful and go slow and it will work? 2000 rms u would think u could fit a big ass wire …

I was wondering if you could possibly give me plans for a ported box for 1 fully loaded BTL 12" dual 1ohm sub. Powered by an Earthquake PHD10000d 3000 watt amp. My trunk dimensions are 36"L x 36"W x 17"H. here is the plans I got off a website. How does this look?

Hi, I have been looking at FI for a while and I am thinking about getting 4 Q 12's. I will be running 2 MTX TA92001 amps which put out 3000 watts rms @1 ohm or 2000 @2 ohms. would 1000 watts (2 ohm setup) be enough to max out the sub or should I run a 1 ohm setup and just turn it down a little bit and give it more power. also, I have about 10 cu ft of trunk space and i am probably going to run 2 cubes ported for each sub. Should i seperate each sub in its own 2 cube box with its own port or just build a big box with no seperaters and one big port. and one final question for those of you who have had experience with the Q's and the BL's. How much louder will the BL's get …

Will a 3.1 cuft enclosure (after all displacement) tuned to 38 hz work for a 15" Fi Q? With the size of my truck, this is the largest box that i could fit in there. How will this work?

Alright guys im new here and don't know if this is the right place for this but i have an old box for 2 15's. Its 10 cu.ft tuned to like 33 hz. Im wanting to get some new Btl N2's. But im not sure if i want to stick to 15's or cut the holes out bigger to hold 2 18's. What do you think i should do? Never had 18's. So Im trying to squeeze the most spl's out of it as i can. Also i will be using my Memphis Mojo 4kw amp.

I am thinking of putting my BL 10" in my 12" fiberglass box. I want to cut a new baffel to drop into the 12" cut out for the BL to mount to. I am wondering if I will damage the sub being the box is bigger then recommended, I think FI recommends 1.2 max, I dont know how much the box will be after displacement. I am going to be powering it off a RE 12.1 1200 watts rms. What would you guys suggest? I am contemplating doing this because my 1.2 cuft box is flipping over when I mount the sub inverted. It wont drop into the cutout because the basket and terminals are just touching, also, the fiberglass box is MUCH lighter than my MDF box. Let me know what you guys think.

I recently found out my Tinsel Leads were blown and i'm not sure how to fix it... Is this something i could fix on my own? Or will i need to send it in? If so how much will it cost? and where do i send it in too?

i came up on a deal. both subs are 15" BL's, both have cooling, flatwind, and the daily option. 1 however has extreme leads, and the other has regular leads. will this cause problems between the drivers or is it ok to run them together? i know the extremem leads can cause slapping, but is that the only downfall?

Hey guys, first post! Haha. Well, I recently just received my 15" BTL in the mail. I was looking and it and noticed that there were no screw holes for mounting the sub to your box. So how do you mount it? Another question I had was, is there a special way that I should be breakin in the sub? I didn't know if there was a good way to do it. Im tryna purchase 2 Fi BL 15's and i have a power acoustik BAMF40001/D...Im wondering how I should wire the voice coils and would it be better to get a dual1 or dual2???...This is for daily use also

Since both the Fi BL 12 and BL 15 are 1000 watts RMS, and I have about 1200 watts to play with, which should I get? Would there be a huge difference? And on a completely unrelated note, how do you guys go about bolting down your enclosures in your trunk? I have a 06 Sentra and below the carpet in the trunk is the spare with a piece of cardboard over it. Now there is about a foot of exposed metal running down both sides of the trunk. Just curious about how it's done. *Guess I should have asked first, will a box for a 15" BL fit in the trunk of a Sentra? Thanks.

ok so heres the deal. I currently have a 12" btl in a 2.25 @ 32 enclosure being run off a crunch gp3000pro. It is loud don't get me wrong, but of course I am always looking for a little more. So I am thinking of building a new enclosure for it and I am just looking for ideas. Thought about tuning to around 35, but not sure if it would be worth it or not. This is the first single sub set up I have had so maybe I am just setting my expectations to high, i dunno. I figure I might as well try a new enclosure before I jump into a whole new set up, so any suggestions are welcome!

Right now i have a 15 d2 Fi BL its sick... but i cant leave it alone... soooo any opinions on the power handling on 2 Fi BL 15's? and any suggestions on a amp to run both of them on? im thinking about reconing my older Bl but its up in the air for now... so any opinons?

Well i asked quite awhile back what i should tune to if i wanted a loud daily listener, and most people stated 33-35 hz. It turns out that the box i've made is 34.97xx, so i just want the final word from people before i seal up the box and have to live with it. I mainly listen to rock and rap, and want it to be loud, but won't be visiting a TL anytime soon. Edit: Sub: 18" Bl. Box: 6.3 cu ft, tuned to 34.97xx. amp: would love sundown, but may have to settle for a bxi2006d (which would be alright for me, just would prefer the sundown)

Am planning on using the Hifonics BXi2008 on 2 15 Fi Q's, would BP be necessary?

I got the box built a few days ago.. just wondering if I could throw the dimensions out here and you guys can tell me what it is size wise. He told me its around 8.7cubic feet and i think he said 32 hz is what its tuned too.. damn thing is huge, but here is the measurements 48 1/4th across, 20 1/8 height on the face plate, 24 1/2 tall.. the port i wasnt 100% sure how to measure properly so ill tell you what i did and if im wrong correct me and ill run out in the garage and re measure.
