So i picked up my 18 inch btl with hiXM coil and cooling options(DAILY). Now for the amp. Normally i would say that i don't have the money for the SAZ-3000D, but i found it online refurbished for the same price that i can pick up the Rockford Fosgate t2001BD from sonicelectronix. I read a post from a guy who got the refurbished SAZ-3000D and he claimed that it was functionally perfect so i wouldn't mind purchasing it. both are about $560. I plan on doing all the elcetrical upgrades necessary for either of these amps (big 3, Kinetic hc2000, high output amp, all that good stuff) now my only concern is that my sub is the dual 2 ohm and i will be running it down to 1 ohm like…

Greetings, and thank you in advance for considering my inquiries. : ) After becoming privy to the specs and recommendations for the 15" BLs, Qs, and SSDs, I have hit a wall in my plans for purchase. It appears ported enclosures are exclusively recommended for the BLs and SSDs of this driver size. However, the problem is the recommended tuning of which is higher than my target low frequency response of 20 hertz. My questions are: 1). Are these recommended tuning figures aimed at SPL applications? I'm far more concerned with brilliantly effective low range response than mid- bass volume. 2). Can they be tuned to 20 hertz and still be effective drivers? 3). If not, would a …

I didn't take into account where I was going to put my amp when designing this box (which is going to take up my ENTIRE trunk...so I had to pull one of the walls in slightly and that brought me down to only 4.7 cubes net after port and sub displacement...is that too small? Will I see any adverse affects?

Guys Prob havent post for over a year now, thats because I have kept all my things in the closet and lost touch about car audio while playing mafia wars LOL. My question are: i. How long does a sub magnet stays magnetize? In my place 33c-35c is considered a normal sunny day. ii. Does heat from the sun + heat from playing music will effect the magnet strength? iii. Does keeping the sub in the closet (its bare and I didnt put it in the box) will have other effects like rust, deterioration of rubber, spider getting weaker etc? Btw I own 2 15Q's which I bought back in 2007

hey guys, this is my first post lol but i have been a member for a bit. so i just got a 18" Fi Q and just built the box to 6.3 cubic feet after port and sub displacement. i have the port tuned to 31.4 hz. it sounds amazing especially in my little ass car lol fits in the trunk just perfect. i have it double baffled and it doesnt rattle or leak any air. i am running hifonics 1600 watt rms amp, turned a little over half way up, and have 0 gauge wire. stock alternator and battery. big three upgrade. i have 2 questions tho. my first question is...there is no gain setting on my amp...idk where to set the gain bc there is no knob. if somebody could give me some help with that it…

I'm looking at buying 2 15" Q's with the bp option and just using it for daily driving no competitions. I wasn't sure if it is worth paying more money for the SAZ-3000D or if the AQ2200D is just as good of a fit for my application. I have been through a lot of bad amps and want to go with a good quality and very reliable amp that I won't be afraid it will break after a year of use. I don't know if anyone has or heard a setup like this with either amp but any input would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, so i messed up a little. I have a hifonics bxi2601d amp, and i wanted to wire my sub to 1ohm. I ordered a 12" fi BTL fully loaded dual 1ohm model... OOPS! anyways, i tried to change the order, we'll see how that works. If i am stuck with the 1ohm model, and i wire my sub to 2ohms, meaning it will get the rated 1700w rms, (probabaly 1200-1500 actually) do you think it'll sound under powered? I'm running 0/1 gauge wires, and my box is 2.73^3. Stock alt and battery for now. My goal is to sound better than a jl 13w7, my buddy said hes hitting 143db on the reader. you think Ill get him?

My buddy has 2 XT-4000D amps made by US Amps, I was wondering if 1 of them would work good for a dual 2 ohm 15" Fi Btl Subwoofer

I'm running an SSD10 in a ~.8cuft sealed box with 400W from a PDX. I'm mostly satisfied but it seems to lack the very bottom end...just doesn't have any oomph and sounds like response rolls of pretty sharp. I only notice it once in a while on certain tracks where I expect to get a low hit. I've had this sub for a couple of years but I swear the enclosure specs used to call for a larger enclosure compared to the .2-.6 I see now. That's why I'm in the bigger box. Can this thing really perform well in .3-.4cuft?

I have a toyota ex cab truck and I was wanting to know what is the biggest sub set up I can fit in the back? The space in the back is 19'' deep X 22'' tall X and 53'' wide. I want to do a ported box with either 2 Q18's or 2 Q15's. Given this amount of space what do you think I could fit back there? -Alex

So I'm new to car stereo and was hoping yall could help me out. I've been doing alot of research on subs and have decided on a 15" BL for my tahoe. Im wondering if yall could help me make some decisions on which options to chose for the sub itself and what kind of amp i would need to power it. I'm looking for some pretty hard hitting bass at some points, and at others i just like some good sounds. Thank yall for looking and for your opinion.

So if I get a DVC 2ohm BTL that means there are two voice coils, which just ONE can handle 2kwrms correct? So if I hook up 2kwrms to each, shouldnt that work? Or lets say 1500 on each coil for less heat? Yes yes I understand Im retarded, but you never learn if you never ask P.s. figured out my other question..

i am looking to try out a new design in my ranger. this will be for a 15" btl fully loaded. my max outer dimensions are 50 long x 16 deep x 18t all. heres the kicker, i would like the sub in the middle of the box facing the roof and would like to have the ports doing the same on each side of the sub. i am looking to get it tuned to 30-35 hz. the only reason i want the sub in the middle is because my truck is bagged and i want the weight in the center for even psi on both sides. i live near milwaukee wi if anyone is wondering
