I WAS WONDERING IF I COULD FIT 2 15'' BTL'S IN MY TRUNK. IF NOT COULD I FIT 2 12'S? I wanted to build a ported sub enclosure tuned to 32 hz. I ALSO WANTED TO KNOW IF THERE WAS SOMEONE I COULD PAY TO DESIGN ME A SUB ENCLOSURE? AND I ALSO WANTED TO KNOW IF HAVING 1 AMP POWER BOTH SUBS IS ANY BETTER THAN HAVING ONE AMP PER SUB (FOR EXAMPLE 2-2,000 WATT AMPS AS OPPOSED TO 1 4,000 WATT AMP? IF ANYONE COULD HELP ME OUT I WOULD APPRECIATE IT, THANKS, IM TERRIBLE AT MATH. My trunk mesurements are in the following link, I wasn't able to figure out how to post the picture. Trunk specs

I have two Fi X 12's and the tensil leads slap really bad. I have about 450watts on each.. i know the RMS is 300 watts.. but the sub is still putting out clean sound other than the leads... i noticed that the tensil's aren't aligned with the pad on the back of the cone. if i were to relocate the pads do you think this would solve the problem? THANKS

Can a BL 15 with flatwind coil, and p. chamfer take 1000 watts or so rms for an hour or so at a time, and 1700 watts rms for spl burps? Or does the sub need the cooling option? In 3 ft3 enclosure tuned to 48hz.

ok so heres the deal. I currently have a 12" btl in a 2.25 @ 32 enclosure being run off a crunch gp3000pro. It is loud don't get me wrong, but of course I am always looking for a little more. So I am thinking of building a new enclosure for it and I am just looking for ideas. Thought about tuning to around 35, but not sure if it would be worth it or not. This is the first single sub set up I have had so maybe I am just setting my expectations to high, i dunno. I figure I might as well try a new enclosure before I jump into a whole new set up, so any suggestions are welcome!

I have 2 Konaki 12's with Incriminator Audio recones on them. Overall they sound great and hit the lows great, but the power handling is lacking. I have them both on a Crunch GP3000D-Pro which is putting out between 2500-3000 watts given my electrical right now. The amp is set correctly and the system thumps hard, but it seems like they bottom out wayyyy too easily. I play a lot of low stuff (<36hz) and when I turn it up too loud, the subs bottom out. Basically, I'm wondering if Fi would have any options to boost my power handling to 1500+ watts a piece and maybe some spiders that would stay stiff and allow me to play low frequencies at high volumes without bottoming o…

Could a X10 with the BP power option be put in a larger box than .55cuft sealed? I have a box that is ~.75cuft and another that is ~1.2 cuft. Both sealed. Just curious how/if it would work in one of the larger boxes. With the BP option, what rms can I expect to run in the .55cuft box? And if poss what rms in the larger boxes? Thanks

Is 5ft^3 net to much for a BL 15 running on 1200wrms?? My plan is to make a box with an 8" or 10" PVC aero port. If Im correct... 1. With 5ft^3 net and an 8" port would give me 10 in^2 of port area per ft^3 box area. 10 in^2 seems to low... 2. With 5ft^3 net and a 10" port that would give me 15.7 in^2 per ft^3 box area. 3. But FI recomends running 4ft^3 box and with an 8" port that would give me 12.5 in^2 per ft^3 box area. If I tune my box at 32hz which option would work the best for daily use on all types of music?? Any help would be aewsome.

Hey guys!!! So I am currently running a box built from Dave the box guy. Its 2.5 cubes after displacement, tuned at 35 hz. I have a the ssd with flatwound and bp power, a 2010 model. Anyway, I LOVE the way this thing sounds. But I got to thinking.. I know that Fi Recommends the max ported box space to be 2.5 cubes, and thats what I run. But I am still a novice, and got curious about mechanical handling... Would running this at 1000 watts rms daily (MB Quart ONX 1500.D amp) be okay to do? Cuz thats what I am running, with the amp tuned as well. Just wanted to make sure that may check out okay, or do I need to reduce my amps tuning? Thanks guys! -Chance

I want to build a console box in my single cab truck and im trying to see which would be the best. Setup 1: 2 Fi X 12 D4's ported Setup 2: 3 Fi X 12 D4's sealed Setup 3: 2 Re SE 10 D4's ported or sealed Setup 4: 2 Fi SSD 10 D1's ported or sealed Only reason im considering Setup 3 because I can save about 80 dollars on the subs over Setup 4. And im trying to be louder than a buddy of mine with one RE SX/BL 12 Hybrid ported as a console box.

I have a pair of 10" BL's and chose the SPL option when I bought them. I had no intentions of playing music with them, but now I wonder if they'll handle playing music for a short period of time. I was thinking of trying Bass Race in Db Drags next season but don't want to have to buy new subs in order to do it. Does anyone know if these subs with the SPL option will handle music for 30 seconds at a time at full power?

What have you found to be a "sweet spot" for your 12" Q??! i'm running a SAE 1000D to it at 1 ohm. with BP option. i'm looking for both sealed and ported enclosure sweet spots. share your views here. by sweet spot i'm talking about where it makes you jizz when you hear it. come on don't hold back. i want it to be loud, but clean and tight, just like our women!.. well with the exception of the loudness, thats no good with the ladies lets hear it!

If I were to order 3/4 MDF boards from Home Depot. How much should I get? I want to get a LITTLE more then I should get, but not an overload of it. This is for a 20H x 25W x 20D box that will hold a 15" BTL. Thanks, -Curt

Would 1 10" bl with cooling and flatwind coil in a 1.4 cuft box tuned to 32hz be louder than 2 10" ssds in a 1.8 cuft Tuned to 33hz? Also what would be the ideal port area for the ssds if I put them in a box with two ports? Thanks

How do you guys go about breaking your sub in? Do you let it break itself in overtime or do you play a nice tone to help exercise its suspension? Well I should be receiving my 15" full loaded BL today and I can't wait till I get home to get it so im looking to exercise the suspension so that it can be broken in for the weekends upcoming local comp event.

I was wangin my ssd the other day and it was wangin hard, loud just like fi should then i turned it off went inside and about 2 or so hours later i went back out there was about to leave and the sub or amp just didnt pound like it did before. It just wasnt as loud and didnt vibrate my whole car like it did before. I think it might be the amp, but im not quite sure. I figure it might be a connection problem or somethin, but i checked all that and no problems. Thanks Mike

I was wondering if the BTL or BL could be run in a sealed box. The Fi site doesnt have any dimensions for sealed boxes. If they cant be used in a sealed box, why? Is it because they just wouldnt sound good? Just wondering. Thanks guys
