which of the old 3 slug options were cosidered basically universal, D1 or D2. i bought my btl from teampsi on ca.com, on his ad he said its a D1 so its basically universal. i have read else where that the D2 were the ones considered universal. can anyone clear this up? im about to order a recone, and i want D2's but i want to make sure it will fit! thanks fellas

EVERYTHING is double baffled 3/4in. mdf . In the 1st picture showing the front plate it looks double baffled its only supposed to be single " which i just fixed and im to lazy to take and upload another picture" due to the fact that there will be another front vanity plate to go around the curves in the car all nice and snugly. The box is , 15.7341 ft³ BEFORE DISPLACEMENT 15.2141 ft* after sub displacement displacement port is 6 inches in height width is 29.224 in…

hey guys , i recently ordered 2 15 Q's , am going to run them off of a single SAZ-1500D , with 1500rms to both subs. i want to build the box before the subs get here , and had to ask for advice i noticed on the Fi website that the recommended size for each Q15 is 2-2.6 CF. i can give each 2.5CF . will i get good lows? will i lose anything? not enough power to them? im not planning a LOUD LOUD system .. just loud and clear;) thanks. Eli.

My amp is going to be a 1500d, for sure. Two SSD12s have a recommended ported volume of about 5ft^3, and a BTL15 has a recommended ported volume of about 5ft^3 as well. I understand the two 12s will move more air, which may be more impressive as far as my budget will go, and being realistic, I don't anticipate being able to buy another amp or the surrounding electrical to back it up for awhile. Anyway, I ask your advice once again. Should I go with two SSD12s or one BTL15 powered off of a 1500d running at 1 ohm? If built in their ideal boxes, which would get louder, or would it matter? What would be the pros/cons of either? Mahalo, Trevor

Hey everyone, So i recently sold my 2 audiobahn 12'' sub woofers, and my amplifier. I have the money now to buy my 15''BTL fully loaded. I had a few questions that i am still not sure about. 1.What should my "ohms" be if im using a mono amplifier. 2.If my box is tuned to 3.25feet at 30HZ is that too little feet, and too low HZ? 3. Does anyone know a good mono amp to go with 1 fi BTL 15inch 4. Also is a BTL legit 2000RMS? i really aprciate all help, thanks everyone.

Will 2-18'' BTL's be happy with 2000 watts per sub? And will they play with 2000 watts each or do I need to put 4000 watts per sub? Need to smoke 2-13" w7's. Can 2000 watts per sub do it???

I'm looking for someone to build me the box specified in the "BTL Cut sheets" thread. I have the Fully loaded 12" (2010) model BTL sub. I would like to know how much it would cost (both for the box and shipping). And I like to find someone who has made these before and knows what they are doing. If you can show me pics of your previous work that would be great. I would prefer it if you had a PayPal account as well. If there is anything you need to know from me, let me know. Thanks for any replies.

Hey, This will be my first time buying FI subs and just had a question about what I should buy. I was gonna get two 12" FI BTL's and power them with a Sundown SAZ-3500D amp when it becomes available. Under the amp specs it says: ----RMS power, 2 ohm linkable/dual mono 6000W x 1CH ----RMS power, 1 ohm mono 3500W x 1CH I'm confused as to what the difference is would I be able to get 6000W to the two subs if i got the 2ohm versions? or should I get 1ohm? If I can only get 1ohm will 3500 be enough for two of those subs or would that be very underpowered? Any recommendations on the box size and port size would be greatly appreciated as I will have it made by someone. I'm …

Any problems or chalenges? I can go larger if need be as the car will not be a grocery chaser but my commuter car BUT I want to still have space in the tiny trunk area for the times the wife and I need to put something back there. I need help on how to fix my torn surround. Can I get a replacement from Fi and repair it myself or do I have to send it in? Is there a proven way to fix a tear in a foam surround other than shoe goo? Also, can you determine the options a sub has without tearing the speaker apart? Thanx guys.

I am going to be ordering a 10" BL and was wondering which to get? Should I go with the dual 1 or 2 ohm? I plan on running it off the saz-1000d. If I get the 1 ohm, that would bring it down to .35 ohm, but with the rise, shouldn't that bring it back to almost 1 ohm? Just wondering as the amp reports that it is only 1 ohm stable. or would it be better to go with a Mmats 2100.2 and get the 1 ohm and wire them in series? this isn't something I need ASAP, but any ideas would greatly help the process. Or... another option is to go with the dual 1 ohm wired in series and go with the saz-2000d. Ideas?

Hi, i've been passive for a few months right now. My last system was one 15 btl dual 2 on two RF t20001bds @ 2 ohms with few kinetiks and 300 amp alt. I think of adding another btl 15 but keep the amps, one btl strapped to 1 ohm and one t20001 @ 1 ohms per sub. Do you think this would hit harder or should i just recone the current btl to dual 1 to use the full power of the amps.... Patrick
