Hi, i'm buying 2 Fi BTL 18's and was wondering how i could build a ported box. i've never built a box before so i need a lot of help. If you could tell me what i need to buy and how to do pretty much everything to build this box it would be great. Thanks

I seen this guy on youtube with 2 18'' Fi.SSD's on 2400-2800rms in this box below hitting 149db. Well i just ordered 2 12' Fi Bl Thursday, and well which leads me to a off topic question how long will it take to actualy get it in the mail if i live in texas, and well i was wondering if anyone has a blueprint or something so i can make a box out of it...

it doesn't make sense, when i chose the p chamfer option it added $10 then i chose the cooling option too and it doesn't have a price. and there's a note that it i chose both p chamfer and cooling, uncheck the p chamfer because p chamfer is incuded in the package of the cooling. in short, if i get both options, the p chamfer and the cooling, i will get it for free, but if i only get the p chamfer option, i need to pay addtl $10 for it. can someone explain this for me, thanks. i'm also planning on getting the universal option, my question is, if i get this option will there be any changes in the performance of the sub? or side effects?

I just got rid of my suv and bought a car and I plan on putting my Q in my car but don't want to use the same box because it's just too big. Right now it's in 2.5 cubes at 32. I was thinking about going sealed for SQ but then again I want it to be loud enough for the sound to come from the trunk into the cabin of the car. I'm a low end feind, so I definitely want the lows. For a mixture of SQ and SPL while retaining some trunk space I was thinking 1.8cuft (FI recommended minimum) tuned low to like 28-30. How would this work compared to going sealed in 1.5 cubes?

Today i finished building my box for my Bl 18. Its 9.5cuft with 146sq in. of port tuned to 33hz. It is going to go in my back seat of my 1984 cutlas supreme. My amp is a AQ 1200. Anybody got an idea of what i should expect with this setup? any comments are appreciated

scott or nick, or anybody else that knows i have a question. i have two 12's that i bought in germany and being the dummy that i am i dropped the box they were in and one of them completely broke the basket all the way around! the woofer is still good i was able to line it up and push down and the voicecoil isnt damaged all the surround and wires are still attached. the speaker looks like it has almost the same basket as my fi 12's is it possible to take the woofer and replace the basket so i don't have to buy new woofers yet?and if so can you guys do it? or can only certain speakers be re-attached like this?

i know this will sound stupid but what is a dustcap? is it the cirlce on the center of the sub? the one with the fi sign?

can someone give my box measurements a once over and tell me if this is going to work,I have 7.49 cu.ft. and i am going to make a box for two fifteen's . I am going to use either the Q's or bl's , the box is going to be ported useing psp flare ports 4"x 17" four of them at this length. is this going to be enough room and are the amount of ports correct to tune this box to 28hz.. this is for a daily driver I listen mostly to rap and R&b. If this doesn't sound right could some one give me some direction, this is my first box build and i want to get it right. any help would be graetly appreciated thanks.

What can i do to stop the screws from coming out the box holding the sub in

ok wat up guys i just ordererd a 15" bl flly loaded BUT i chose the extreme lead option and wasnt aware that this was for spl applications only and not for daily my question is what is going to happen if i run this option daily? my setup is 92 hatchbak mustang with a brutus hifionics 1606d and da bl 15" ,Thanks

Hi, i'm Patrick from Germany and i just ordered a Fi BTL 15 with Cooling and HiXM Coil for daily driver. The BTL replaces my old RE SX 15 wich i operated in a aprox. 4,7 cubes box, tuned to 35 Hz.... My problem now is that i don't know how to build a enclosure for the BTL because i usually calculated everything with Win ISD but this doesnt work with the btls TSP'S... Can you help me or say what i have to build. Max dimentions are: width: 93 cm or 36,61 inch height: 45 cm or 17.72 inch depth: more than 100cm or 40 inch I'm running it with a RF T20001bd and kinetik batts.. I am pretty sure I have neither the room or the amp for 2 of the Qs but I am getting 2 of em for $260 If I did want to change amps and run 2 Q12s, how much air space would I need to do them justice in a sealed enclosure? I've built boxes for at least 15 years. But, i've never built a ported box like this. This box is gonna be 31.18 cubic ft 52 in wide x 37 in tall x 28 in deep. Trying to figure out how to fit all the subs and where to put the port. My guesstimations on the port size would be 15 in x 20 in and port length would be 8.13394050 ??????????I put the width and height in on a port calculator and it comes up with this length. What is that? I don't understand the length part. Don't even know if I can make a port hole that size with those subs in there. I was thinking of slotting the port either at top and bottom or on the sides. Sides would be better i'd have more room. I've ne…

Trying to figure out how to get the 3rd magnet option on the BTL.... I want to say I remember seeing it on their website as an option in the past --- has it become a standard? I only see the following options: Ohm configuration, p chamfer, cooling, hixm coil, daily or spl, induct heat ring, and the universal option.
