what's the sub displacement of a btl 18 tripple stock magnet? thank you

ok so what im gunna do is put a single 12" BL into my f150....i have a bench seat in the rear so im gunna fold the short side, which is behind the passenger, and put the sub box there....i have approximately, 18" wide 16" deep and about 20" in height...the height is flexible tho....i have a kicker zx1500.1....can any one please help me design a box? thank you

I recently upgraded to 2 BTL 15s from a 2 Qs. In a nutshell im having the same problems that i was having with the Qs, Overexcursion. I am running a MTX TA81001 to each sub, only 1500 watts. The total volume of the box after displacements is 8.5 cubes, port is around 100sq inches and is tuned to 32hz. SSF is set at 30hz, HPF is set at 150hz, Bass boost is set at 0, and volt meter reads 38 volts which should make the amp put out 1500 watts. I went to my local shop (Pure Pressure Audio) where everyone who works there runs FI. They said i need 6 or more cubes for each speaker, and my box is causing them to move as much as they are. I built the box to FIs specs and it doesnt…

Hey i Tested the coils it came back one was .7 normal and one read 0 no idea why its just one but thats what happen so i was wondering shipping from 77632 to yall and back total cost if its a recone that is! Thanks, Teddy

Ok so my Q stopped working an i tested the coils an the left one reads 0 and the right one reads .8 i think it wierd that just one coil would burn or be messed up. Anyone have any input on this.? Thanks, Teddy

i was playing my fi q 12 with bp power on a zx1500.1 in a 4th order bandpass bout 3.5 cubes all together and it was sounding good and knockin nicely when all the sudden it stopped no pop smell or anything. . i took the sub out an everything looks fawless but i tested the sub with a battery and a dmm and the ohm reading is all wierd i was just wondering if i can have this fixed or what ill send it in if i have to i just want my sub back. . . . Can someone tell me why about 1/4 of the spider would be torn and a lil crispy and the rest be fine? the coil looks fine too btw...powered by a KX1200.1 in a 2.6 internal sealed enclosure...it smells AND feels as if it were on fire...the gains were fine and everything, i wasnt even playing full tilt when all the sudden...silence, no pop or any sound, just no bass and the smell

So heres the deal: I bought 2 12 X's A few months back during the clearance, and I put them in a horrible prefab ported box with circle ports and after about 2 days, a blown out side panel. Supposed to get 1.6-2.2 cuft in a ported box, I think theyre getting 1 each. It sounds decent I guess, but if I get it past about 1/3 volume, I get the worse port noise I've ever heard. I just got back from Home Depot, and I bought a 4x8 sheet of 3/4 MDF. I'm planning on starting the construction of my new box tomorrow. i need to order a recone and basket for my MT motor..and ive heard statements on both sides of my question. does the BTL coil fit in the MT gap?

so i hooked up my sub and amp. its a dual 1 ohm 12" q to a jl 1000.1 and it sounds like poo. i get a slapping sound even with the bass almost all the way down and the volume not even half way up. i havent tuned a jl amp before and theres all sorts of knobs and switches and what not, the box is sealed and around 1.2ft ^3 after the sub displacement. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

Is it ok to run 3 subs off 1 amp without any major worries. I was thinkin 3 15" BL's off 1 RF4000.1. What do you think? Or maybe I should just shut up and run 3 SAE-1000D's.

I'm looking for the exact dimensions of the MT gap or the exact coil dimensions to see what other coils will work with it. If Scott or Nick see this i'd appreciate some info. If anyone has the MT coil sitting around and has access to a dial caliper or something to measure precisely I would really appreciate the help. Or if anyone knows the gap dimensions off the top of their head lol...

Does anyone own a 94-97 Honda Accord Sedan? And if so, do you have a 15'' BTL Sub? If by any chance you do, could you tell me how you made the box for your sub? 5 cf is a lot of space, and my trunk is big but I dont know if its possible or not while still keeping the back 2 seats in... what are the mounting depths and displacements of btl's when you get the extra magnet? i tried the search but nothing comes up. also, it would be nice to have it all in one place for future reference. *edit*..... i just read that you guys are releasing a new btl. in any case what are the mounting depths of both new and old?

I have read a little about recommendations for size of sealed enclosures for the Q. Does anyone have some examples that they have built or used? I am not really sure how to figure out the cubes either. I know that sounds stupid, but I left math back in college. One last thing, what does "tuning to x-hz," mean? Well,I just ordered a Q15 dual 1 ohm sub for my car. I had a 12w6v2 in a jl spec sealed box but after hearing the Q10 in a sealed boxed that I bought for my wife's car (hers goes lower and sounds better than my 12" ,just not as loud)I decided to go Fi also. I have a 06 Jetta and I wanted to run a sealed enclosure.I have lots of trunk space. I know that the spec sheet says 2-2.6 ft3 but is there anyone running larger and how does it sound. I want to focus on sq and very deep lows.

This is my current box plans for the 1 18"BTL and 1 Saz-3000d I have. I plan on putting all these into a 03 Tiburon(hatch) and competing in spl. Really my only question is would a bigger box better/ is 5.27 cubic feet enough. I've seen where eveyone says speaker terminals suck, so whats the best one to use? And if its bolt terminal, do i just put a hole in the mdf and put a 3/8" bolt through it? How do i hook the wires to it on each side? I realize this is probably about as noob as it gets too, but i mentioned big 3 to one of the big 'audio' shops around here, and they looked at me like i was an idiot for thinking there was such a thing (i'm saying this just to show you i have noone to learn from in the local area haha). I'm building a 2.5 cu. ft.box for a BL 12 right now and I'm aware of the recommended port area but I was wondering what the downside to more area(42 inches) would be. Thanks.

I know to pilot my screws, but the problem is i'm using 1 front baffle for the sub, and maybe i'm wrong, but i just dont see 3/4" screw holding that for that long. am i wrong or am i supposed to use a different kind of screw?
