I have a 2004 F150 super crew. I dont want a blow through and I am thinking about taking out the middle rear seat and putting a center consoled 15" there. I currently have 2 10" Qs under the back seat but I wanna go louder so I need someone to help me design something width needs to be 17" - 17 1/2". and height there is plenty of room id like to keep it under 30" and there is enough depth for 30". Iv been messing around on the rockford boxwizard and im looking at possibly a wedge type design with a flat on the back top of the box with aero ports and then the front facing sub.

New to Fi and just picked up a 18" btl. Need some suggestions on box size and tuning. I have about 10 cubes gross before driver and port. Looking to do a sub up, port back, tuned to maybe 35hz with 4k of power. A few have said that these have tremendous bottom end so I'd like to tune appropriately.

Hi all. I'm about to order a btl 15 d2 with cooling, I heat ring, and high Xmax coil. I have a hifonics bxi2010d. I came up with this box design, but I want to make sure I haven't overlooked anything important. Will I get port noise or any other bad stuff? Its for the trunk of a 97 ford thunderbird. With the current design I have, the box would be lying with the port and the sub facing up toward the rear deck. I could change the dimensions slightly, any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. EDIT: link to image was broken

I'm trying to decide on a sub for my car, and design an enclosure for it. I listen to a lot of drum and bass, so due to the wide range of frequencies, I've already decided to go with a sealed enclosure, and I have a Hifonics BXi 1606D to power the sub. My original plan was to go with a 10" Q, as I figured it would be more than loud enough, even sealed. The issue I've run into, however, is that I want to mount the amp on top of the box, to keep things more compact (take up less trunk space), and to make the box and amp easily removable for autocrosses. The problem I'm having is that once I make the top of the box large enough to hold the amp (~11.25 x 14.5), and make the b…

The box I'm building is for a single Fully loaded BTL 15. The design i came up with has the following specs: 4.5 cubes after displacement and bracing, tuned at 32hz with 64sq/in of port. My goal is just a loud ass daily ground pounder. My question is just does this box seem too big/small, and is 64sq/in too much port? thanks

hey, i have access to some ED Ov.2 motors, and was thinking it might be a good start to recone. Can a drop in recone kit be had for this sub? the vc is 62.5mm which is right around 2.5 in. I would like something inexpensive and sq related. i read in previous threads where the older e12k (desjil) was reconeable for like $60 or something. Let me know! thanks, brian here are the specs for the O: http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/product_i...;products_id=35

Does anyone own a 94-97 Honda Accord Sedan? And if so, do you have a 15'' BTL Sub? If by any chance you do, could you tell me how you made the box for your sub? 5 cf is a lot of space, and my trunk is big but I dont know if its possible or not while still keeping the back 2 seats in... Thanks, -Curt

I have a fi q 12. I didnt choose the high qts option because i had planned for a ported box, but ported is wayy to big for my little trunk lol Would it matter if i put the sub, without the high qts, in a sealed box? If it matters, im going to put it in the smallest bOx possible I dont plan on running the sub to the max, just some extra bass for daily driving. Also, i hate rattling, so you can bet i wont run it any where near max output.

I recently totaled my car, so I'm selling the system to my cousin. He has an Explorer and where they're from, loud is the only thing that matters. Anyway, he's been entering in comps with two JL 12w6 on a old punch 500(or somethin like that, not sure the model). I have two FI Q 12 with Bp power I'm selling him, along with a Rockford Fosgate T20001BD. Size is not really a problem...he has the entire back of the explorer to fill if necessary. I'm just looking for a big box or whatever will get the job done to throw up big numbers and still sound decent. He said he put up like a 141 Outlaw with the JL's. If that's right, gotta put that to shame to show everybody whats …

I just bought two 15" SSDs with the copper coil option..I will be giving them 1500 watts.. I have a '95 4-door Blazer they will be going in. My question is, what size box and tuning would be ideal for the best LSQ I can get out of this? I want the subs to be able to get LOW also.. And how much port area?> I am new to multiple sub setups.. Does each 15" need its on chamber? On another note. WOuld I get better results with the subs/port facing back towards the hatdch, or sub up, port back CRX style?

So I have a 10" Q I'll be running about 1000 rms to. What kind of box dimensions do you recommend. I bought a prefab box for $20 because I figured if it didn't work, oh well I'm out 20 bucks. Well, the Q is a little oversized for the box so I figured, well, might as well just build one. What dimensions should I build it if I plan to run the above mentioned power? Is the .6 cubes best or would it be better to have closer to 1?

Hello all, First post here, so be kind to an old-schooler... Looking to do a bed box in my Chev 1500 step side. Max dimensions I've got are: Width = 48 Height = 18 Depth = variable I'd like to go with 2 BTL 12's, dual 1ohm. Both subs will be powered by a RF T2500. Wondering if one of you fine gentleman would point me in the right direction with: Net Vb for common chamber enclosure... 2.65 cu.ft. per sub? Optimum vent dimensions based on a 16.5" vent height? Hopefully I provided enough info... I certainly don't expect a full design, maybe just some guidance. Thanks guys, C

Hi all, I have, what I hope is an easy question.... I have a pair of fully loaded BL 10's, So I am using WinISD to design a box, and I have some missing driver parameters: Pe: ????? ( I was assuming 1000watts ) Le: ????? Z: ????? Any help would be most appreciated! I currently have them housed in a 2.56 cu ft boxed tuned to 28.33 hz that I built for my previous cerwin vega v-max's, and the FI's sound really good in it, I just want to make sure I am not missing anything by not building a spec'd out box. Thanks!
