hey, i have access to some ED Ov.2 motors, and was thinking it might be a good start to recone. Can a drop in recone kit be had for this sub? the vc is 62.5mm which is right around 2.5 in. I would like something inexpensive and sq related. i read in previous threads where the older e12k (desjil) was reconeable for like $60 or something. room wise im stripping everything out of the back of my car and starting again.. the box in there is 3.5CUft with displacment to give you an idea on how big it is, i need some ideas of port and sub postioning which way to face them, where to put them? and general box design also some advice on the actual sub will be using for : Daily use 2000RMS @30Hz so what options would be best for the sub? Hey i just bought a 15" bl. i was looking around and everyone said a 4cubic box would do but anyone have any cut outs or exact directions. im not sure what i should tune the box to? hertz?? anyone have any suggestions!

Hey guys im wondering if anyone has any dementions for a box or can set one up for me for my car i use the BL for DD and the box needs to be 37inches or smaller in width and 18inches or smaller in hight, doesnt matter depth. Does any one have dementions to i can build a slot ported box, im too busy to even set up all the hertz or know the specs for a box for this sub so can you guys help me out please?

I recently purchased a 12" Q series sub. I am installing it in a ported enclosure and I am curious to the size and tuning. After purchasing the sub I found a deal too good to pass up on an amp that is a little underpowered for the Q. It is a kicker zx750.1. It puts out between 800-900 watts rms. I see on the pinned topic at the top the recommended ported enclosure is 1.8-2.5@ 28-33hz. With 12-16 square inches of port volume. My question is should I change the box size or port area since the speaker will not be driven at full rms power? I want to get as much out of the speaker as I can with the power I have available. I thought I would ask on here instead of calling seeing…

I recently totaled my car, so I'm selling the system to my cousin. He has an Explorer and where they're from, loud is the only thing that matters. Anyway, he's been entering in comps with two JL 12w6 on a old punch 500(or somethin like that, not sure the model). I have two FI Q 12 with Bp power I'm selling him, along with a Rockford Fosgate T20001BD. Size is not really a problem...he has the entire back of the explorer to fill if necessary. I'm just looking for a big box or whatever will get the job done to throw up big numbers and still sound decent. He said he put up like a 141 Outlaw with the JL's. If that's right, gotta put that to shame to show everybody whats …

I have an 18" btl in the mail it should be here tomorrow, I totaled my truck a few days ago that it was going to go in so now I have to put it in a 98 mitsubishi eclipse for a month or so i'm looking at making a box L34xH24xD17 wich I think is about 6.9ft cubed so I would need about 75 square inches of port. how do I tune it to 32hz?

need help guys ..i cant decide what to get ...here is a little info,i have a trans am and the box i going to get that fits the rear well it has 1.92 cubic feet per side ...i was going to go with 2 15" or 2 12" ....the amp i am going to use is a sundown 1500d the 2-12" i was looking at are FI SSD or FI Q and the 2-15"are fi ssd or fi q...its a sealed box ....for that amount of air space (1.92cu ft per side) what would give me the best bass sound...thanks

ok so my brother wants to get a fully loaded 18" BL for his 00' blazer. hes got a stock alternator i think 105 amps, and hes thinking of getting a hc1800 battery in the back with a hifonics xxv or xx thor amp. will his electrical be okay for this?

Fella's, I was wondering would it be better to fire my 12" BL's forward in my SUV or to the rear towards the tailgate? I cant fire them up so its either forward or backwards? Thanks in advance.

Could somebody tell me what the diameter of the magnet is on the 12" BTL. And, what is the mounting depth of the same sub is. And one more thing, if I build a box that is 5" at the top, 11" at the bottom, 20" tall, and 40" wide, will that be enough room to fit a 12" BTL with just cooling(will it be deep enough)?

i know this is a real noob question but what is the cutout diameter of a btl 18"?

So since my order still hasn't shipped after 10 business days, I might as well make sure my box dimensions are correct. Going with a 3.5 cube ft box tuned ~32 Hz Port is 17" by 3" and 37 inches long Anyone see anything wrong with this? Thanks.

I looked at the voice coil on one and there were markings. What does FC FW mean? Plus how will I know if it has the cooling option I ordered?

i bought 2 bl 18's d2's in 2008, one in october, one in november. Now i am wanting to run 3 18's but was told not to mix those 2 with newer bl 18. I got these 2 with cooling, flatwind and universal options. Do you have any older bl's in stock or stuff to build one? Or could I run a new one with those? thanks

The box I'm building is for a single Fully loaded BTL 15. The design i came up with has the following specs: 4.5 cubes after displacement and bracing, tuned at 32hz with 64sq/in of port. My goal is just a loud ass daily ground pounder. My question is just does this box seem too big/small, and is 64sq/in too much port? thanks

I just got my bl's today and had my local shop make a box . The dimension's are 4.5 cuft 43=wide 19=deep 15=height port is 4=wide 12=height and he said its tuned to 32 htz. does that sound right? I am currently running a kicker zx 1500.1 to them, my question is, do i need to let them break in or can i pound on them? I know im way under power, but im not sure.Any and all replies are greatly appreciated.

this is the size of box i want to build: 16tall x 40wide x 28deep, there is an internal volume amount of 8.11 cu ft. after you account for the entire top being double baffled... subs up, port back (in the middle). i came up with a port, 13.75tall x 8wide x 23.5deep for a tuning of 32hz using this program: http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=31 i used the "Calculate Your Vent Length" section to come up with that port. it asks what tuning frequency you desire but there is not a place to enter how many or what size drivers you are using. is that port good for four 12"s?

i sent my woofer in for a recone and spoke with nick via email briefly, but havent heard a response in a while. i need to get the sub back asap, im not sure how much to pay them for it with shipping to 85259. if anyone can contact them via phone, that would be fantastic as i would love to have the sub back by thursday or friday for a road trip. i know its 75 plus shipping, but im not sure how much the shipping is and if it can be back to me by then. he said it can be done within a day if need be. I am thinking about putting an FI Q 15 in a 2 cubic foot sealed box. I think that this size is on the bottom as far as recommended. Does anyone know how well the FI Q performs when it comes to small boxes like this?

Is it possible to order just a recone kit and diy? If so what are the prices on 12" and 15" BTL's anyone know? Also is there a way to contact Fi directly other than e-mail like a phone number?

Well, i've figured out that I can fit a 5.5 cu box in my trunk, now i was originally going to go with two 15" btl's but after taking measurements, it seems like my trunk would be more suited for two 12" btl's. My question is, which would sound better/be louder/hit lower freq's better in a 5.5cu ported box? they will be tuned at about 32hz Any help would be appreciated, thankss
