ok guys i have a RF BD1500, birthsheet 1740 @1ohm, would 2 12" Q's or 1 15" BL be louder?? or is it possible for that to move a BTL a sufficient amount?? and also could you tell me what options to go with please and finally if i get a duel 1 ohm, does that mean the amp sees it at .5 or 1 ohm? and the duel 2 at 1 or 2?

I was originally talking to Scott about a Q 18 in my h/t setup, but I have a chance to get a used SSD 15 instead. It needs reconed, so I was just wondering about the best coil for the recone, and a few questions. I was planning on asking for the copper coils with the recone, but I was just wondering if it would be best with my setup. I was goin to use one of the following plate amps with it, so around 500rms at 4 ohms. Bash 500 http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=300-752 Dayton 500 http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=300-806 At the moment I'm leaning more towards the Dayton, but I wasn't sure if it was worth the price difference. Also cou…

Would there be any noticeable difference between making one huge box or leaving both of them in separate boxes, advantages? disadvantages?

  8. outter box dimensions are gonna be 58" deep x 46" wide x 24" high using two layers of 3/4 mdf all around (1.5" sides) gives me 28.7 cu ft before displacement assuming displacement is .26 per woofer lets call it 1 cu ft my plan is to use six 6" aero's to start with i am aiming to get at least 25 cubes net after port and sub displacement (assuming 1.5 cubes displacement for 6 6" aeros 15" long) i NEED this box to be LOUDEST at 44hz, so i'm guessing tune to around 40hz (not sure) its gonna be only for bass race and shows, i wont be driving this setup around town everyday, but i still will be playing music, mostly rap and not much in the 30-40hz range. dimensions are pretty…

  11. Basically I'm stuck between two designs. The first one is 4.3cf with a 6" flared aeroport tuned to 35Hz. The second enclosure is 3.5cf tuned to 32Hz using a slot port, with 54" of square port. The power is 1000 watts rms at 1 ohm.

  13. So I just bought my new car, a toyota celica, and I am going to have a custom box built for my q 18. with a kicker zx750, how many cubic feet should I go for? I am looking for a flat frequency responce and a good balance of sq and spl. I know these are all really rough terms but I just could use some advice.

I am looking for sound quality mostly, not worried about if the bass rattles my car apart. If I go sealed would it be terrible if I went prefab from online? and if I went ported I am thinkin about 2 cubes at 30 or 32 hz. how big of a difference would trupan-lite over mdf make? thanks all

I just designed my box and came and up with 12.37 sq inches of port per cube is that a little low? What does more sq inches of port per cube do? I also came up with about 4.03 cubes per sub before displacment I want to do a little larger what does everyone I think? My dimensions I used are 23width x 34height x 49 length. they will be in an 05 f150 with two kicker zx1500. 1 amps powering them for now will upgrade power. I know they give generall recomendations of 3-5 cubes per sub and 12-16 sq inches of port per cube. What is everyone else running? and what should I tune to? I did 27 hz my amps lowest is 25 hz and the way I understood what fi said was 2 above your amps lo…
