  1. Thinking about switching up from my 15 BTL to 2 Qs 15... Would I see any huge difference in loudness... I mean the BTL is god awful loud but I'm always wondering. Trying to figure how to fit everything back there the two dekas, 2 1500ds and a 100.4. Thinkin 7 cubes @ 30 hz.

ok so the ssds are rated at 1000w ... so if you have them fully loaded ... what would that do for the rms power handling?

So since my order still hasn't shipped after 10 business days, I might as well make sure my box dimensions are correct. Going with a 3.5 cube ft box tuned ~32 Hz Port is 17" by 3" and 37 inches long Anyone see anything wrong with this? Thanks.

Umm I'm having a bit of a problem. I need someone to go into bass box pro or whatever you like and design me a box. The external dimensions are 27Hx40Wx25D. I'd like it ported. Please don't tell me to get different subs or a different car, I just can't make that happen.

  6. I had an enclosure built and waiting for it to arrive. I am impatient and wondering what you guys think about the demensions. I got a basic 12" Q D1. Sealed enclosure: Width= 14.75" Height= 12" Depth= 15" Which is said to be 1.27 cubic feet "net volume" I am planning on facing the sub upward toward the roof in the back seat of my truck

Other than thiele small params and the small pics, it's hard to know all of the differences.... the Q has a smaller pole vent? larger magnets? The single 2 ohm IB3 is a 2 layer coil, the Q is 4 layer. The Q's Fs isn't much higher than the IB3's and the motor doesn't seem tooo much bigger.... IF I had the extra $$$ at the time I would have gotten a Q because it would have been much better for my application, I could have gotten the dual 1 ohm coils and ran my Lanzar OPTI2000D at .5 ohm and everything would have been GREAT. But I only had enough for the IB3, and so I let the lower Fs and higher Xmax ease my mind about doing what i had to do. If I could go back in time, I k…

Looking to build new system. Planing on using a Memphis 2500 watt amp to each sub. This system will be mostly for SPL but also some daily listening. Will be using 10" or 12" subs. Just wondering which Fi sub would work best. Will start with 2 subs but move to 3 at a later time and maybe a Memphis Mojo 4kw to each also.

Hello, I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to assist me with my first enclosure build. I created an enclosure in Torres that seems to meet my needs, but I am not quite sure if there is enough port area for these subwoofers. Being a long time lurker, I know the people here are quite knowledgeable, so I figured I would throw it out there to see if it will work, or if it needs to be changed up. Here is the screenshot for what I have worked up so far in Torres: Does that seem good enough for port area? This is going in the trunk of a 2004 Toyota Corolla. The dimensions for height and width are the max that I can get away with for front firing subs. If …

  19. ok, I'm about to attempt to build my first enclosure for Fi Q 12. 1.9ft ^3 tuned 30hz. Where can I get demensions and what items do I need. Such as brands of glue, type of screws, etc. If I Take mesurements to Home Depo, Will they cut the pieces for me? Is it difficult to make a Enclosure, I read that its pretty easy.

I was wondering if it would be better to switch to a sealed box? i mean one advantage would be less used space. and which direction should i face the box also...

Any chance I could get approximate T/S Specs for my re-coned subwoofers? The hybrids consist of Memphis 15-MOJO15Q1 (15" Quad 1 Ohm Voice Coils) mated to Fi D2 soft-parts with older style tinsel leads. I purchased these already assembled from a friend but he didn't have any specs on them at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Charlie Buffalo
