Ive been looking for a "special" basket for my 05 15 XXX woofers for a while and i was wondering if FI would be able to help me out? I know all you guys use are the 12 spoke but i was wondering if you had anything different could make somethign different or knew where i could get something different? (other then the 12 spoke or the 6 spoke DD design) Im honestly in love with the last generation of the fosgate punch HX2 baskets but since its been some time since they sold that woofer i havent been able to pick any up.... So got anything for me scott?

  4. ok, I'm about to attempt to build my first enclosure for Fi Q 12. 1.9ft ^3 tuned 30hz. Where can I get demensions and what items do I need. Such as brands of glue, type of screws, etc. If I Take mesurements to Home Depo, Will they cut the pieces for me? Is it difficult to make a Enclosure, I read that its pretty easy.

Ok, well Im trying all I can do to get some cf out of the box that im making to go under my back seat of my truck... I have figured out I can get about .74 cf out of my box but i might be able to get another .1-.2 cf out of it.... If it stays at the .74 cf, what would that do to the sound? I can use polly fill in it also, would that help? And if i can manage to get it up to .8-.9 before displacement, how much better would that be because it will be a decent ammount of work to get those extra few tenths of a cf...

So I just recieved my 15" SSD with copper coil in the mail Thursday. I originally planned to go sealed in about 2cuft, but I have about 3.1cuft after all displacement to play with, so I was thinking about porting it. I wanted the install to be strictly sq, so I was thinking about 28Hz or so. My question is, has anyone here tuned it that low? If so, how's the sound quality? And if no one has, what tuning would you recommend for a sq setup?

I'm in the process of buying a 15" BL within the next two weeks. i was going to pay someone to build me a box, but its going to cost +$200 and take well over 3 weeks for him to build it. so i decided to do some some research (and save some $$$$) and found two enclosure plans that fit the 15" what one should i build? the first design or this one Net volume: 3.5cuft Tuning: 33Hz Port Area: 52.5(15"Hx3.5"W) Dimensions:16.5H"X24D"x26.5W" *design stolen from ROE. Another question, Its a fully loaded 15" Bl powered by a rockford fosgate T1500-1BD the amp is rated at 1000W x 1 @ 2-Ohms RMS 1500W x 1 @ 1-Ohm RMS is it safe to wire the subwoofer at 1ohm for daily play? i know…

Well, After serching the forum, I have found what is included in a recone kit, but now its time for the questions. I was woundering what a 18" Dual 2 ohm BTL recone with flatwind coil will cost. Also I have never done a recone before but I beleive I do have the logic, and patience to do one, but would I be better of just sending in the motor and basket for a recone? Would it cost the same for a recone kit as it would to send in the sub (Shipping not taken into consideration here)

Any chance I could get approximate T/S Specs for my re-coned subwoofers? The hybrids consist of Memphis 15-MOJO15Q1 (15" Quad 1 Ohm Voice Coils) mated to Fi D2 soft-parts with older style tinsel leads. I purchased these already assembled from a friend but he didn't have any specs on them at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Charlie Buffalo

  13. ok here it goes... and you know i have 2 15 fully loaded bl's dual 1's.... i have the + from one coil to the - on the other coil... on both subs... then + from one sub to the + on the other sub... then the same for the -... from there to the amp...... i should be at 1 ohms correct? or did i mess up should i have gotten dual 2's heres why i ask... im sitting some where around .8 ohms.... not 1. not 1.3.. but .8 thats with the resestance of my ohm, meter the resestance of my meter alone is .1...... so by my messed up math that should put me at 1.1... but hey maybe im wrong...... the reason i am so scared... ok here goes i shopped for months for subs and an amp.....…

The recommended box volume for a sealed enclosure is 4-8 cubic feet. Is there much of a difference in sound quality from 4-8? What exactly would be the benefits and disadvantages of having the volume be 4 cubic feet to 8? What about 5 6 7? So far what I could gather is there would be less low-end with the smaller box volume but the bass would be more detailed. Is this necessarily true? I have trued modeling the a box with WinISD but it didn't seem very useful to me. Also, would adding polyester fiberfill be useful in a larger volume box? Thanks!

I am looking for more SQ so i figured i would go sealed. But since i have a larger space, should i go ported? I want tight-punchy bass, I like feelin some of the high bass. My current box is huge and ported, so i think this would be the right change (sealed). Thanks

The fi Q 15 has a sealed enclosure range from 2.0 to 2.6 cu.ft. At which enclosure size within this range would product the best results for a SQ setup? Thanks guys.

My enclosure is built at 2.5 cuft, my current port area is 10x4x21, tuned to 39 hz, I want to change this so its tuned to 32 and I would need to add 14 in in length, unfortunatly not possible. So I looked into it and I could change my port to 10x3x25, what will I lose(or gain) by changing the port area ?
