I recently had a s10 ext cab with a 15 inch bl in it which im now selling because I traded it in on a silverado ss....oddly enough bigger truck does not mean more sub room sadly so it won't fit. Ive looked around alot and can't seem to find a case where someone used 2 12s in a ported box under the rear seat of the silverado and im not a fan of sealed boxes but it looks like thats my only option unless smoene could suggest something else. Was thinking 2 12 q's or ssds running off my memphis pr1000.1 amp and im not sure if i want them forward facing or downward facing, Im sure i could get a little more airspace if they were forward facing but does it really matter which way…

So I'm new to car stereo and was hoping yall could help me out. I've been doing alot of research on subs and have decided on a 15" BL for my tahoe. Im wondering if yall could help me make some decisions on which options to chose for the sub itself and what kind of amp i would need to power it. I'm looking for some pretty hard hitting bass at some points, and at others i just like some good sounds. Thank yall for looking and for your opinion.

since some of you knows very well this product i though it might be a good thing to ask before making a choice... i got a btl 12 that will run on a soundstream tarantula trx2000d... ive done the big 3 and im wondering how to maintain a constant 14.4 load to my amp?? plus a need a box desing. im gonna be using this sub daily for mostly hip hop and got a mazda protege 1999 with enough space in the trunk . i also heard that a square box aint the best option since the sound produced by the woofer would hit the back panel then bounce back troughout the cone area and produce distortion(by the way sorry for my english im french) is it true???? and thats about it thanks for you…

so what would the difference be if u had 1 fi 18btl fully loaded daily running 4000watts rms or if you had 2 18bl's loaded running 4000watts i would imagine that the 2 bl's would be louder cause more air movement? i dunno i just got done reading the efficency post that was like 8 pages about 500watts to the btl or for that matter what db increases would you be looking at it you ran the btl18 at 2000watts rms vs 4000watts rms what are the sound characteristics between the btl and the bl ? if the recommended box size is 5-10 cubic feet does that mean that the 10 cu ft will hit lower take less power to get louder but can blow easier? and what would the difference be between …

Alright, im kind of tossing the idea around between two setups in the trunk of my Crown Vic. Setup one is (1) FI BTL N2 18" in 7 cubic feet net tuned to 32hz. Setup two is (2) FI BTL N2 15s in 8 cubic feet net tuned to 32hz. Here is my problem and question, the first setup with the single BTL will slide right in my trunk with no issues using the box design and cut sheet posted on this forum for it, but the second setup is the issue. Can I run the BTL 15s in a smaller box than 4 cubic feet net each and still get optimal performance? Id like to shrink the box and bump up the tuning to 34-35hz if thats possible. 3 to 3.5 cubic feet per sub would be a much easier fit for …

i currently have a crossfire vr 2000d and an optima yellow top with a kinetik hc600. running 0 ga from the battery then 2 ga from the kinetik to the amp. im currenty upgrading the "big 3" and am looking at an alternator around 200 amps or so. is that enough upgrade to feed that amp? the type of subs i was looking at are the FI BL15's which are 1000w rms and also the RE AUDIO sx15's which are rated the same. also if anyone would recommend an enclosure not only for daily but for comp. as well....probably somewhere along interchangeable ports

I have a 04 Ford Expedition, i have built a enclosure behind the 3rd row seat, what i have is 2.46 cu ft, I would prefer a sealed enclosure, I know this is large for sealed, but i can shrink it if needed, my question is: should i go smaller ? It is powered by a Crossfire VR 1000d, I listen to mostly music like: Slayer, Exodus, I also listen to alot of classic rock, metal, punk, etc...ever so often I will play a few bass cd's I have from the days I did dB Drag shows. Thank you for your help.

I'm lookin to run a pair of Q 10s eventually but I'm just wondering if anyone has experience using them in a smallish sized ported enclosure? .7 cubic feet to be exact, 10 sq inches of ported, tuned to 30hz...per driver of course. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, I've been messing around with ideas for my subwoofer and I have a way maybe that'll help with my predicament. Currently, I have a 1995 Honda Accord Sedan and the 18" is to big I believe to fit in rear facing. Currently I have it horizontally mounted. However...after looking through some of the build logs, I am debating about whether doing a slanted box or not. My question to you guys is, what types of effects will I see of this? Ideally, I wanted to do it rear facing. But i dont think that will happen. So i've compromised with it angled. it will still be around a 5 cu ft box and about a 60 degree angle the subw ill be mounted on. Any big difference you guys thin…

  17. I have the box in the pic below and I don't believe it's gonna be the best for my Q! I want the most output possible! I'm thinking around 2.5 cuft net with the port around 30 Hz! I have a Rockford Power 1001BD stable @ 2 ohms. I listen to all types of music but love really low notes!! If someone could tell me the dimensions of a box with port dimensions it would REALLY HELP ME ALOT!!! Or, if you have other recommendations!!! Thanks!!!

  20. Started by MadChargerGuy,

So I am about ready to start this new setup. I ended up thinking that I would like to go with two flared ports with a 15" sub. Is it okay to put two flared ports in an enclosure with a single 15? I wanted to do this, sadly, for the looks so I can keep the sub in the middle of the enclosure so things stay symmetric. How do I go about this. Do I follow the same rough 12 to 16 inches of port area per cu ft of volume or do i now divide that in half since I am running two ports. Any help would be great as I dont want to screw this up. THanks.

  22. Im driving a Dodge dakota extended cab and im going to be running 2 12" fi q's. I was wondering if it would be better to face the subs towards the front of the truck firing at the back of the seats, or firing towards the ceiling of the truck. Thanks in advance for any help!
