im looking at using the ib3, and was wondering if there are any technicalities that i would need to take into consideration before doing it in my car. i would place the baffle behind my rear seat, and seal everything off w/ fiberglass where it goes under the rear deck and between the wheel wells/strut towers. anything else to take into consideration?

First off. I am Unimpressed with FI's Silence. Unfortunately Scott and Nick have pretty much decided they are going to Ignore my Emails concerning taking them (Scott) up on the offer to replace the sub of find a magnet cover to hide the huge chunk missing out of the Ferrite. 2 weeks worth or emails have never been replied to so I have decided to cut my Losses and install the Subwoofer in the Oak Ply box I built. I waited and waited but with the weather turning cooler I wanted to get it in and running. On a Side note, a few Woofer builders have offered to repair the woofer at a reduced cost to help me out. So that was nice of them. I may take one of them up …

Hey everyone Just a really simple question. The enclosure measurements for Fi speakers, are they measured before woofer displacement? Just need to clarify so I can build an optimal box with maximum air space. Thanks again!

I've gone through almost 20 pages of this forum and still not sure exactly how I should build a box. I've got a general idea, done some research, but I'm hearing/reading different things. I plan on purchasing a fully loaded 18" BTL very soon, but want to get the box out of the way first. My max dimensions I'm working with are, 39" Wide, 20" height, and 24" depth. I want it to be sub up, port back. This is going in the rear of a Nissan Pathfinder. I'm also wanting to get it tuned to around 32-33hz, that's where I'm having trouble. After sub displacement, and a port tuned to that frequency, how much cubic feet would the box be if it was built to those max specs? Just from a…

Hey Guys, Could anyone help me with a box design, I built some sealed ones, but I just am not sure how to calculate the ports and tuning with ported ones. Even with the Box calculator's. I am looking for a box to hold 2 15 BL's and a box for 1 15 BL. Tuned from 28-32 Hz, Not sure on what would sound better. 30"depth 42"width 20" heigth these are the specs I wanna work with, I can fit more but, this is really what I wanna stay around Anyway, Thankx to anyone that can help me with this. This is my current box plans for the 1 18"BTL and 1 Saz-3000d I have. I plan on putting all these into a 03 Tiburon(hatch) and competing in spl. Really my only question is would a bigger box better/ is 5.27 cubic feet enough. Thanks box: (outer dimensions) heighth = 16.5 width = 36 depth = 21.5 port: (inner dimensions) heighth = 5 width = 7 length = 10 this port will tune the box to about 34.67 hz which is what i personally like to tune mine to. after port displacement...this will give you about 5.27 cubes of air. so you have room to brace it and not go below the recommended volume. this is also assuming that you're using 3/4 MDF. competition port: (inner dimensions) he…

Does the sub come with aluminum or copper coils? sorry if theres a thread about this but i looked on the site and couldnt find a difinitive answer on this. Also what exactly does the BP power option do, does it effect the sound of the sub whatsoever or is it something just to help with thermal capabilities of the driver? thanks in advance.

I have a 2004 F150 super crew. I dont want a blow through and I am thinking about taking out the middle rear seat and putting a center consoled 15" there. I currently have 2 10" Qs under the back seat but I wanna go louder so I need someone to help me design something width needs to be 17" - 17 1/2". and height there is plenty of room id like to keep it under 30" and there is enough depth for 30". Iv been messing around on the rockford boxwizard and im looking at possibly a wedge type design with a flat on the back top of the box with aero ports and then the front facing sub.

Hi, i have a blown tensil lead on my X 12 and i was wondering if Fi could re cone it or replaced the bad lead. This isnt my first blown lead. Before i replaced them but in removing the dust cap i cut through my cone, so i'd rather send it off to Fi. Does Fi cut off the dust caps for this kind of work? or just recone the sub? If a re cone is needed to repair the sub, is there a recone available???? Thanks!!!

My enclosure is built at 2.5 cuft, my current port area is 10x4x21, tuned to 39 hz, I want to change this so its tuned to 32 and I would need to add 14 in in length, unfortunatly not possible. So I looked into it and I could change my port to 10x3x25, what will I lose(or gain) by changing the port area ?

I'm trying to figure out the port diameter and length for a box I'm going to build, but every time I use a formula from the internet I get something that doesn't seem reasonable. The box is for a Fi SSD 15. I figured the dimensions are 25x15.5x17 which is 3.81 ft cubed. I'd like the port tuned to 33hz. If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. And if you could leave the formula for future reference that would also be appreciated....thanks
