Hello, Today I pulled my Q12 from the box (Dual 2) and tested both voice coils. They seem to settle at about 1.4 to 1.5 ohm. Is this normal for a dual 2? *It has not seen power yet.

Hey im new to the forum and new to Fi. I have been looking around to put a new system in my car and decided on Fi. I plan on purchasing 2 10' SSD with the copper coil and i was wondering if yall had any suggestions on an amp. I was looking at A planet audio RXD-1400 that puts out about 1400 rms and 1900 peak but i wasnt sure. Any help would be great thanks.

So I'm new to car stereo and was hoping yall could help me out. I've been doing alot of research on subs and have decided on a 15" BL for my tahoe. Im wondering if yall could help me make some decisions on which options to chose for the sub itself and what kind of amp i would need to power it. I'm looking for some pretty hard hitting bass at some points, and at others i just like some good sounds. Thank yall for looking and for your opinion.

  6. I was told by other members of this forum to email Fi about this topic, which i did, but I have not got a reply and it's been about a month since i sent the message. Any chance Fi still has recones for D4 X 12's? Or should I invest in an Ascendant Assain? Also, its just the leads. I've replaced the leads on one of my D4 X's already so i know i could do it, but i cut through the cone getting the dustcap off. Maybe I could ship the sub to Fi to get it repaired since they deal with things like this all the time? I'm just exploring my options! Since it's been so long without my sub, I am willing to repair it myself again. All I will need is four leads and a dustcap. Depe…

i want to build a 4th order bp for 2 18 btl and im pretty unsure about how to calculate the port. the sealed chamber is 2* 3,3 cft and the ported one 1* 10 cft. how do i design the port? does 40 hz work well or is that too low? shall i make the port for 5 cft @ 40 hz and then double port area (because both woofers will play in one ported chamber)?

I was interested in the AA Carbon fiber mids. will they fit in a 6x8 space? Do they have an adapter ring. Plus do they come with a passive crossover and tweets... Right now I have the Pioneer 720PRS components which are pretty nice and have been reviewed very well. Have you heard them? If so how do they compare? And prices.. or local dealer to 11703? Thanks. Can someone tell me if this port size is right for what I want. Box size is 12.91 cubes after subs and port displacement. the port size is 23hx7wx14.56d = 32Hz. Is this right? 2-18'' Q's will be used in this box. Looking for it to hit really hard and will this box hit loud and hard? the subs will see about 6.45 cubes each. Is this box good for the Q's to hit really hard in?ready to build today....

I am running 2 FI BL 18's in about 15.5 cubes after sub and port tuned to 32hz. It sounds awesome for daily and really picks up the lows. I have about 200 square inches of port also. I did 147.3 db on TL first time, then a 152.4 on an audiocontrol meter saturday. Now, I was told I should make my box around 10 cubes after sub and port and tune to 35 or 36hz and it would probably meter better and still pick up the lows. Does this sound right or do you have any suggestions? Oh yeah, I am running 2 sundown audio saz-1500d's strapped on them now. Would it matter with a slot port or are aero's better? thanks for any help

I bought 2 used UFO motors and they are different motors completely. The one has "cuts" in the side around the slug in the black part and the other is just smooth.plus they seem to be different sizes? I already ordered the single slug recones. Are they OK to use together

Alright before i buy a 10" Bl with cooling i need to make sure i know the mounting depth... the website says 6.25" but i heard you have to leave an extra .5" for the pole vent... in this case it would be 6.75" mounting depth. is this correct?
