My buddy is trying to put a 18" fi ssd fully loaded in the back of his eagle summit van.. He has about 1200 watt rms of power to run the sub.. There is two different set of max dimensions we can use ( it all depends on how tall the box will actually be. The first set is a tall narrow box and our max dimensions are 27 1/4 tall X 39 wide X 15 Deep. And the other set is 20 1/2 deep X 39 wide X 21 tall. Any help would be wonderful... Would really like start build on box as soon as we can.. Also I would like it ported wit a tune right around 32 hz. And I not sure wat would sound best wit the speaker direction and port direction so any advice is wonderful.

Hello guys, New to the Fi World and need some help making the right subwoofer choice between 10" or 12" before ordering. This will be a trunk install in a Honda S2000 CR so space is a bit limited and box will need to be sealed. System Build (so far): Enclosure "Sealed" Max 1.0 cubic ft before displacement. Max mounting depth ~7.75" Power (2) Digital Designs SS1's strapped = 1200 watts clean (from a previous install) HeadUnit Kenwood KIV-BT900 4.0V pre-amp outputs Wire KnuKonceptz 1/0 awg Battery/Alt Stock for now Distribution Block SoundStream PowerPlant Front stage TBD...DLS, Focal, etc. Although I was interested in the BTL-N1, the mounting depth probably will not allo…

any box builders out there wondering how much you charge for a box for 2 18 BTL FL, flared port, 13ply birch, 5-6 cu a piece shared chamber. dimensions would be 52 width x 20 depth x 25 height that would be my max dimensions give or take a few in. Another guy (Ryan Wallace aka Belunt from CAJ.com) was suppose to build me a box, but i cant get in touch with him now, and im trying to get a refund. but someone let me know something. thanks

hello guys I have two Q15's in a dual chambered slot port box tuned to 27hz @ 8cuft. My question is will it be better to build another enclosure where the drivers share the same chamber? And should I double baffle it? Also, what about bracing? How do I go about doing it? I tuned low because I want the ground pounding bass that you get from the lows as I don't really play anything above 45hz. Thanks.

Right now I'm in the middle of my build with 2 18" BL's with a Trutech Hammer H1 per sub in a 16cuft wall tuned to 30hz. After this I'm pondering changing to two BTL 18's with a DDZ1. Just wondering would it be worth it in terms of being a major leap over the BL's and the Hammers ?

Currently have a 12" BTL (D2, loaded, daily) powered by 2500D. Box is 2.5cuft @ 32Hz (after displacement). External dimensions 27" x 18" x 16". Port is 14.5" x 2.5" x 40"? (forget, used subwoofertool.com few years back) Would like to get a bit more out of the lows. They hit good as it is now, even down to 25Hz, but they could probably be better. Just wondering what I would need to do to make another box that specializes in the bottom end more. Smaller box? Larger port?..etc. Was thinking, maybe 28-30Hz tune? Maximum dimensions: 31" x 18" x 16"

Lookin for info on the q18, you guys recommend 4 to 8 cubes for the 18 sealed. With ~1kw each would 5 cubes each be acceptable? I'm looking for them to carry into the upper range a little more so I'm thinking a smaller box would fit that. Toying with the idea of doing 3 of them sealed in my ext cab truck on a saz3000 for a bassrace/daily ground pounding application. I'm currently running an hdc318 on 2200w and it gets downright loud and I like the upper end response as well as the lows it gets, just looking to try something different. Always wanted to try a large sealed application that got loud both bottom and top end, just not sure if the q18 will do it, which is …

I'm probably going to order my Fi SSD 12in this Friday, and was wondering which coil to go with. It will be hooked up to a Kicker ZX750.1. And I read somewhere, that these can be somewhere between 900-950 watts RMS at 2 ohms. So would the Flatwind Coil be the best to go with.

im about to switch to port tubes instead of slot ports and i was wondering if i have 2 18" fi q's how many 6" diameter ports would i need. i have the box set up into two chambers at 7.1 cubes each. i was wanting to tune the box around 31-33 hz. i didn't know if i should use 2 ports per chamber or just one and what the exact lengthe should be.....ive used most calculators and they are telling me with 1 6" port in a 7.1 cube box the length should only have to be 6 inches, which doesnt seem right b/c i was thinkin more like 15-16 inches. shoot me some info thanks

ill be ordering the 12" ssd's soon and temporarily they will be going in a prefab (i hate prefab) dual twelve box with the port in the middle. 2cuft per woofer. when i put my other woofers in there they were loud as f**k but when i played a song like bass mechanik moonstone that has a 20hz bassline they bottomed out and almost broke the voice coil. heres my dilemma i have been seing a lot of people use the boxes that are similar to the box i have exept the port isnt in the middle of the woofers its on the side.ex: http://subwoofertools.com/forum/ported-box...mp;Fs=&CE=0 all of the vids ive seen they either burp the woofers or they play some crap from jeezy, never any…
