Subwoofers / Speakers

I was contemplating on which i would rather have. I was wondering if i should go with two Sa12s or a single zv3 15. Currently i have a Fi Bl 15 being powered with a Hifonics BRE 1700.1. My box size is going to have to stay around 3.5 cubes because of my limited trunk space in my 2010 Malibu. So would you guys prefer 2 sa12s or the single 15? P.s. I lean more towards lows, would the Sa's get very low?

looking at 300-500 watts RMS, would not like to spend much more than 200 right now im thinking ID12v3D4 Diamond Audio D312 I like the FISSD and FIQs, but they have RMS ratings of like 800-1000, and I don't want to drop a bunch of money on a huge amp im much more concerned with sound quality but would like it to get semi-loud at times I'm almost set on the ID12 but wanted to just get some final opinions

alright, the system in my fiances car is just a RF punch P2 in a ported box ( I built it a while ago, I think its something in the neighborhood of 2.5 ft^3 tuned to ~30HZ???) and it is powered by a RF 300.1 amp. the sub is a 4 ohm sub though, and the system is decent, but I am thinking of selling the P2 on ebay or something and get a different sub for around 60-70 bucks that delivers a 2 ohm load to get the most out of the amp. heres the 5 I am looking at now, and the prices. ok i am looking at a MAw 15 or a mj 18 i have a chevy silverado ext cab with the back seat out and i dont think room is much of an issue, so what im asking is for some info on each of these subs like comparisons in sq spl and deep bass, i can make the box either ported or sealed and could give either one the rms power thanks in advance

i am currently looking at changing my set up and was considering to build with 10" xcons. I am looking at aero port for my box build curious what type of port area I need to be looking for? or is some one can let me know how to calculate this. Thanks.

so a buddy has a w6 ten off of 500 watts and sounds pretty good what 10 would compare or yet beat the w6 and im going 1000 watts also dont want to spend an arm and leg for a sub any help would be nice

I got a Memphis M3 10 (2008) and its def. blown but it still barely vibrates and makes the faintest bass when I turn it up. What does that mean? I already ordered a recone so I was just wondering if it would be possible to fix? The coil looks fine and both terminals still have the correct resistance. Tinsel looked okay but I didnt really look that good due to it being a bulky 10 so its hard to see anything. Anybody know what it might be and how to fix it?

words cant describe this sub it is the most awsome sub i have owned and gets so low and loud with my punk ass rockford power bd500. i cant wait to put some more power to it to see what it does, i will try to post some pics of the box soon but here is one or two of the mag in its awsomeness. thanks yall!

Hello to everyone and thanks in advance for any help I may receive. My son has a 98 four door Jeep Cherokee. He has a Pioneer 3100 deck with 6.5 Pioneer speakers in front doors and back cargo area. He has asked for an amp and subs for xmas. Here is where I am an idiot. I have been reading but just can not get a good feel of quality subs. As you can see it is a Cherokee with Pioneer stuff so I am not looking for top of the line. Here are my questions. He wants two 10's, does this sound reasonable for this vehicle? i have just killed an SE after a dodgy binding post causing the amp to send 850w to a single coil! and im considering a 12 SI magnum. bearing in mind, the SE12 was receiving 1250w rms, and did 135.9(termlab) in an SUV in a 1.8cu ft box tuned to 30hz. what can i expect from an magnum running off 850w rms?? i have been told they are efficient? but are they efficient enough to out do the SE the SI will go in a similar if not the same box. what can i expect? SPL and SQ wise? what sort of box would suit it best? thanks in advance

which brand of subs do you think is best? of course fi is one of them lol! and how much did you get it? durable(long lasting) worth spending your money on in short it's worth it. its quality is proportional to its price or cheaper. a clear but loud sub. if you want to listen to some music you can, and if you want to get loud it is capable of doing so.. about 1000 rms thanks everyone!

OMG!!! this thing is INSANE! i have the gains so so extremely conservative. only to aprox 30v asumeing an impeadance rise to around 3ohms im only getting 300-400w. and my roof is "only" flexing 1/4-1/2"....my dome light is "only" moving 1/16th (or so). not too many rattles but it hasnt gotten very loud yet either. the main test song has been "push that" but little john. no rock yet (im still amazed with its loudness wiht only 300-400w). it is overpowering my componets like they are nothing. speaking is impossible. and in the low lows (30Hz area, near tuning) the pressure changes are starting to take effect (as far as the funny breathing). not the loudest ive been in but d…

Ok heres whats on the table. Its either going to be a new FI sp4v2 18 or the beloved SSA evil 18. Sub would be dual 1 for coils. Ran on a synergy 35.1 at half ohm in a box thats 7.5 cubes tuned to 32hz. It is ran daily. Its played daily. Rarely sees full tilt unless its for demos. But im also going to start entering all the competitions i can locally and possibly slamology this year. Opinions what would net me a higher spl score between the two? If any difference at all. Sub one way or another will get ordered wednsday night so help a brother out!

Whats the ohm load if you wire eight dual four ohms drivers? I know four of them ran "series/parallel" is 2ohm load. Would that mean adding four more in the same wiring configuration make it a final load of 4ohms?

What I have right now.... 2 Sundown E-12s (400rms version) Hooked up to a 1700.1 Hifonics Amplifier at 1 ohm. Inside of a custom box made for the Ford Mustang Convertible, .9 each sub, sealed. Well, isnt that too much power? yes it is! So obviously the gain is way down. My question, Would I benefit from switching the subwoofers to something that can handle more power? The problem: If I do get new subwoofers, the mounting depth can be NO MORE than 6.5 inches.

Have about $400-$500 to spend soo.... Sundown X or Z v.3, Soundqubed HDC 3 or 4, OR JL 12 W6. can you guys tell me the difference between X and Z for sundown and HDC 3 and 4? does it make a difference for the more i pay? im seeing some great reveiws for this cheap set of comps. the stock locations in the doors is a 5.25 and i can get the pg rds-5cs for 80$ shipped. i havent found a set of 6" anywhere but i did find a 6.5" set on ebay for 120$. is 40$ worth the money? will the difference in size make much difference? does anyone have a better price for the 6.5" or 6"? id like the added midbass but for another 40$ idk if i wana spend that on speakers or the amp... im also not sure if i can get the 6.5" in the door. the 5.25s are mounted in a plastic (not sure how to describe it..) extrusion in kind of like a kick... but anyways there is hole behind that plastic thing which may, along with…
