Hi guys, i was wondering if you can give some suggestions for a sub that my friend could use with the info i got from him... - small maybe 10" or even 8" - musical sounding sub - can go loud abit i think? - good for sealed enclosures - good for 500W only or maybe less for efficiency - max of $300 if possible i think the reason for small is he plans to put in in the corner of the trunk. behind the tail lights. and if im not mistaken, he needs it for .7 or less cubes after displacement. he was thinking of putting flat subs/slim subs but i advised him to wait, and ill try to get more suggestions for i think slims subs output would not be enough for him, but if you can sugg…

Okay, currently working with 2 15" R's. Looking to upgrade, and am currently using a Saz 3KD and will be using the same amp. Now I'll run it at 1 ohm and still 2 15"s, my question is which will be more efficient the xl's or the lvl5? lol I kinda want the lvl5 to show off the HUGE motor, but not sure if i'll have enough power to push them. I can't say for sure but maybe 6 more months down the line I might get another saz amp. But for NOW which is better for the power i have? Will it dig deeper and sound better than the R's? Birthday's next month and want to treat myself to something real nice.

I've been looking at the Lanzar OPTI1233D series subwoofers. Specs: * Auto speakers feature custom tooled die-cast aluminum basket * Car subwoofers feature black laminated pulp cone * Oversized 2-inch foam surround * Dual 3-inch high temperature voice coil * Three (3) 125-ounce high density barium ferrite magnets Specifications: * Power: 3,000 watts RMS/6,000 watts peak * Frequency response: 50Hz to 300Hz * Impedance: Dual 1.2 ohms DVC * Efficiency: 87dB (1W/m) I thought Lanzar was usually pretty crappy but these actually look like non-mainstream woofers. if they are any good for 290 dollars they're not very bad.. if they actually handle …

in recommendation by denim to post here, i run a f150 supercrew 2001(need to be able to use seats but not necessarily the middle) its a 40/60 split. i have pioneer headunit with door speakers that are amped.. and im looking to finish my system Im willing to run 2 10s. but, I have considered a single 12 in ssd or an icon. :] there are a few prefab boxes but they are 5/8 mdf and ya know... blah blah...and the recent recommendation is got offered was to do 2 10IDv3 subs in a 1.0 cube sealed box under the seat from supercrewsound now i would love help if anyone offered to design a box for me with blueprints or even build one for me of course money is involved there. im not s…

I am wanting to replace my fi Q 15 ported with two 12 port in the cab of a 2000 dodge dakota. Am getting a 1500 and am buying another 15 to go along with the one that i took out of the dakota. Am want to hear from someone who has heard both the re se or sex 12's or the incriminator lethal injection 12's. I have been wanting a pair of either of these subs for a while. I dont really care about pricing and all that, am just wantting to know what are some of the pros and cons of each of these subs from the user's point of view. Stuff like low end, high end, SQ, Loudness, stuff like that. Thanks.

i run a f150 supercrew 2001 i have pioneer headunit with door speakers that are amped.. and im looking to finish my system i was recommended to this box/sub setup http://www.supercrewsound.com/commer...Id=15&catId=58 with 2 ID 10 subs i want it to hit pretty nice and get loud and be overall nice. is this a good setup or do i have better options? how loud do these ID subs get, etc? I have also considered a single 12 in ssd in a different similar style box but with bigger mounting depth and using up an entire 1.0-1.2 cubes SEALED. what do you guys think? thanks

do they make magnet boots for them? I have yet to see one with it on it and I know the level2/3s have them.. unsure on 4s or 4xls. Also, to Rusty... do you sell just the motors? Interested in making some hybrid subs and it'll be my first time building them.

I know you guys will recommend going full size... I have an older Toyota Landcruiser FJ60 and want some good bass without sacrificing storage/dog toting ability. I am looking at one or two enclosures in the rear quarter panels (out of sight and paw proof). I was thinking 10" or 12" subs (likely two - one ea side). Powered by a single Alpine PDX-1.600 The JL 13.5" won't fit. Pioneer 1201's should, otherwise not sure what you guys would recommend getting. total depth (not counting what hte enclosure will use up is about 5.5". Thanks for helping me find something!

My sub choices consist of the following: FI SSD, Ascendant Arsenal, Treo TE or SSi, Incrminator Li. all are 10" Would like to know how each of these subs rate musically wise that can still get fairly loud when needed. Would like to use a small sealed box.

I just got a single cab 98 ford ranger and plan on doing a build soon with 2 12's or possibly 2 10's. Still need to go out and plan out the box. Before I do that though, I of course need to decide on the subwoofers. So far, my best bet for the money is 2 kicker compvt's. I'm looking for suggestions for a cheaper shallow mount that will still sound good. I've dealt with kicker before, and if I could avoid it for the same amount of money, I'd love to. I want to go low. Hopefully tuning to 34 or so. And if I have to, I'm completely willing to go with one 12. Best bass i've ever had was in the back of my 90 lumina. I had a knock off 15" spl sub in a sealed box. It wasn't that…

Overall I was wondering the pros and cons of each of the woofers. I would be putting four of them in my trunk. Sq isnt much of a priority. Which would be louder and handle more power? Im lookin to run about 1000 rms each on whatever one i get.

is it possible to put my 12'' dc lvl 4 in a sealed box? (ran @ 1000w off of an SAZ1500) the site doesn't recommend any specifications for a sealed box. Right now I have it in a 32.5 hz ported box (2 cu ft before displacement). #1 what do you think the frequency range for my 32.5 hz ported box should be? #2, what would the frequency range for said sealed box be? I'd like my bass response to be louder in the higher ranges, so I'd like to see if making a sealed box is a possible option? I used to have 2 12'' (older) kicker cvr's in a sealed box, and their response for rock songs were a lot louder than my single DC's.

I will be using one of these subs as a temporary sub setup till I get my electrical right, money right and subwoofer choices down to run my Sundown SAZ-2000D @ 1ohm. I have a 2003 Saturn Ion, stock alternator and stock battery so far and just took out my 3-12" Kicker CVX's in 5.9ft^3 @ 25.94Hz. As you can tell I love the lows (my priority in any system I have), I listen to: a lot of chopped and screwed music plus r&b, rap and old school. I will be building a new enclosure anywhere from 3-3.75ft^3 for the Kicker CVX 15" and 3.25ft^3 for the Sundown Z15. The price difference is $50 (Sundown more pricey), Im not worried about customer service (dont plan on blowing neithe…

I have been trying to wire up my subs. I have two Mach 5 Audio SPL12s hooked to a Audiopipe AP3000.1D. I am using 8 gauge wire to go from the amp to the subs. However I cannot get the wire to stay in these terminals. I put one 8 gauge wire in and tightened them all the way up and the wire still didn't really stay in there. So what I came up with is this: I took the nut off where the tinsel lead goes to the terminal, then put a length of 8 gauge with a ring connector on it. Will this cause any problems? I don't have both subs done yet, so it is not hard to revert. I find these terminals a pain in the ass! its sort of like what DD has done with their subs.

Hello everyone I want to get your opinions on wich to go with. The sub will be in 1.25 sealed powered with 1500 watts. I listen to all music however lean more towards rap. Looking for a loud """SQL""" setup. Is there really that much difference between the two?
