alright so right now i have a 15" bl and its jus not cutting it anymore. i want something more. my buddy has a 18 xcon and i like how it sounds but i dont wana get the same sub. pretty much i want something that slams like the xcon. i want it to get loooow and sound good. i need some opinions

I have 2 TC-1000 8" subs. 1 working fine. the other not responsive to power input. When pushed by hand, the cone still moves up and down. So just wondering if theres a build house somewhere that might be able to check it out and if possible fix or recone the sucker. any suggestions?

Testing one of these out before i order 4 more to complete the setup Both amps @ .5, havent clamped them yet....i might do that today, but theyll do rated power from other peoples results ive seen Full tilt not clipping the amps itll take the power all day long....when i clip it full tilt gets a bit louder but can start to smell after a min or 2 of a constant song. hey whats up guys I made up my mind and decided to go with audioque, and now i just dont know if to go with the 1 hdc3 12" or go with 2 sdc2.5 12's, i would be using a sundown saz-1500d for the amp, now i know they say the more cone area the louder it will be, but dam i am very interested in that 1 hdc3 12" lol, oh and also if i were to go with the one 1 hdc3, what do u guys recommend aluminum or copper coils? i would be using it for daily music, mostly listen to hip hop, and i want some decent lows, but remember i want the loudest heard, which many say is different then actual spl setup, but im not a pro so i maybe very wrong, the point is im going with very loud mids a…

hey guys!! i recently purchased a 2002 chevy suburban. I will be using the burban as my sound car instead of my dodge charger so my question is... what components do you guys suggest me getting the car speaker sizes are 5-1/4" all around.. front door,rear door and kick panel. i want to get them on an amp was thinking of a sundown amp for sure because i am getting a sundown SAZ-2000 if you guys can help me out PLEASE figure out what components and sundown amp to get!! which series of fi subs are closest to the icons i seen a post on here some where and now i cant find it. someone was comparing the icons response with the bl's. i wana know if the icons are like the q's or bl's.

Im planning to do a wall in my car but my wife says I have to wait until we have another car (we have kids.) In the meantime I have dimensions of 33Dx31Wx16H. With .75 MDF that leaves 7.79783 cubes total. I want to run one Xcon 18 but I dont know what the mounting depth is. Obvioussly Ill be mounting it sub up so my D will become 16". I assume 16" is deep enough but? After port and sub displacement I should have about 7 cubes and want to tune to 32hz. is 7 cubes at 32HZ. too much for 1 Xcon18?

I want to know if Level 2s will take 500RMS? I have a 12" BL at the moment on a Diamond Audio D61000.1 @ 1ohm in my truck and I'm planning on getting 2 12" Level 2s. I will be satisfied right?

OK,Ive got an SE 15 with a bad coil.I used to run a shop with my brother and we were authorized US/RE dealers.A kid brought this sub back in and we replaced it,well this was about 2 years ago and we never sent it back in(the shop cosed down).My question is can any of you guys repair this or can I get something to repair it myself.If so please let m know,and how much it would cost.Maybe if I get it fixed I could sell it and put that towards some Icon 10d4's.

Well here's the story, I purchased this sub off my cousin who said that it was originally a RE 18 that he blew then he sent it to FI to be rebuilt with soft parts(not sure what this is). I then purchased a SAE 1200d to power it. Once I got everything installed I had no sound out of the sub, so I started troubleshooting the best of my abilities. I still couldn't get it workin so I took it to a audio shop who said he tested the system and it was the sub that was bad, he was unable to tell me why. I would like some of you to rank these by clarity at high volume. Which are really designed to keep up with extreme bass with having to opt for Selenium, B&C, or Eminence. Hey guys Im looking to buy a JL w3v3-2ohm 10'' in my car. I have a 04' BMW 3 series sedan now. I will be getting a custom box so it fits snug somewhere (not moving around everywhere). I currently have my kicker zx750.1 amp, do you think this will be a good match for it? Or do you recommend the 4ohm version? Running just a 4 gauge to it, and looking for some decent CLEAN bass to satisfy everyone in my car =D

This is just a question out of curiousity. In the past I had a few different pair of sealed 12s. I have had Orion P12s, JL W3D4 12s and now SSA dcon 12s. IMO the dcon 12s don't get that loud sealed. The P12s & W3D4s I had were louder (I know the dcons may own either ported). Kicker subs also tend to be capable of getting loud sealed. What other pairs of 12 inch subs tend to get loud and sound good in the 500 watt power range sealed?

I have seen the Focal 165 VR3 set of 6.5s, 4s, tweets and wonder if they are good. I have heard by some that they are overrated. My local shop carries them so I know they will be bias. I can get the whole set for $320 with warr. They can go in a 91 Silverado ext cab powered by a sundown 125.2 and I think they would all fit. I havent cut the holes for the 6.5s in the doors yet but Ive heard its a very common custom install spot in that truck. What do you guys think of Focal?
