alright im looking to get 2 18''s im working with a crossfire xp2400, and up to 18cf i want it to be good quality and loud n low 28-30hz...im thinking the best subs would be 2 XCONs. anyone have any suggestions??? or are these the right ones:) ty for the help!!!

Was going for a setup with 4 18" tc 5200's but getting the last two woofers fell through so now i'm restarting. I have about 2 grand to put into subs, and a soundigital 8k on tap for power. i can get a ported box back there between 10-14 cubes depending on subs. I'm mainly looking to play low and loud, from 25-35hz and sound really nice daily for music. here's a list that i've come up with so far 6 12" dc level 4's 4 15" zcons 4 15" xcons/ 4 15" dc xl's 4 15" fi n2's 2 18" level 5's 2 18" level 6's (if i can get them) 2 18" tc 5400's 2 18" tc 5200's 2 18" wardens 2 18" smd's any input at all is appreciated. I am about to install 2 18's in the back of a Gmc Sierra Ext. Cab. I will be taking the back seat out. My question is should I have the subs and port facing up or Subs facing forward and port up. I was told to have the subs facing forward and port up but I would like more opinions on this. Thanks,

Ok now I need your guys unbiased opinion on which subs should I get. I will be getting a Sundown 3000D:). I have about 10-11 C.F to work with. Which combo will or has the potential to get louder? The BL's are less expensive but with the NS's I can always upgrade to another 3000D if I feel its not loud enough lol. Will the NS's be louder enough to compensate for the price difference? I was worndering which system would sound the loudest, 4 15" IA li's off of 3000 rms, 2 21" DP's or 2 18" sundown nightshades, IA DP's, AQ HDC3's or FI BTL's runing at 2000 rms each for a daily setup in ported box in a tahoe, what would be your opinion

What are the advantages of running 1 8" mid versus running 2 6.5" mids up front? I'm looking for clarity, loudness, and width (of the stage I guess? I don't really listen to much that requires great staging). I can do the work to fit the 8 behind the panel but it will be up high. If I do 2 6.5's then one will be in the door and one in the kick. One 6.5 isn't giving me the volume I need...well it is, but only when it's crossed at 120+hz which sucks. Doors will treated and sealed minimally (Not keeping the vehicle for long.) Ok so im working on my box and i have the option to do 2 8's or 1-12" aero port for my box. Im not sure which will be the better way to go and i know they equal roughlly the same thing. Ok so now that I'm starting over I need to starting planning. Trying to have great output, great SQ, and minimal space used. I have a Sundown 1500 watt amp and am planning on using that. Not exactly looking for the end-all setup but just basically looking for pros & cons for 2 8s vs. 1 10 and what subs would fit this criteria. OH! And my music preferences are all over: I'll be listening to so bass heavy songs one day then I'll be listening to some 70s bands the next day. Any inputs would be greatly appreciated!

i was wondering if some know the power handling of these subs. i've been told that they was 750 watts rms and max 2000 watts and ive also been told that they was 1500 watts rms and 3000 watts max. i tried to call bob at american bass but no answer. also i was trying to find out was wold be a good size box to put these subs in.

if you take a fully loaded btl D1 coils and wire up one autotek mean machine 1500d to each coil would it put each amp at 1 ohms since its a 1 ohm coil?

will be buying 2 DCON 12's Dual 4 ohm Subwoofers. looking for a amp in the range of 200$ that will power these properly. will be using a dual champer ported box, each chamber is 1.8 c/f and the sub is recomened 1.75c/f But on the other hand im also very much considering a single 12" ICON with a ported enclosure matching specs. In reguards to excurrsion and making allot of noise, will i be able to afford a amp to get the single icon to outperform the 2 dcons for spending about 200$ on a amp? I see quite a few people on here running a one D2 12 set up in a sealed box and am curious if y'all (or anyone else) can shed some light on this. I'm considering going from my current 2 X e10O setup (800 watts in ~ 2 cu ft) sealed to a single D2 12 (~1200 watts in ~2 cu ft) sealed. I realize this is an SI forum but you guys seem pretty mature (well, at least in your advice ) so I'm hoping to get some relatively unbiased advice. I'm looking for noticeable gains in both my low end and that hard-to-breathe bass while maintaining a high level on SQ. Will I achieve this?
