my over all budget has been raised to the area of $600-700 this is mostly so I can afford to build a box. Still want two 18's and due to my research, I am looking for about 8.5cubes@26Hz because singaboy311's box is a kewl design. Again thanks for the help so far! Well Im going to be competing in the stock 601-1800 again next season.. (Competitions are done here till next year) First off the power amount im going to be using not sure.. Im going to try and get much as i can in that class with out linking amps, don't wanna mess with it. So should i go 2 12" subwoofers or one 18" subwoofer with the same amount of power? I was thinking maybe run two 12" btls or two 12" fi bls? Ive also been told try 4 l5's that will get me louder and cost the same as getting 2 btls I have around 5.8 cuft gross to work with. What you guys recommend for an Adire Brahma MK II 12" subwoofer?

I am building a new enclosure to put in the trunk of a car... It will be built with the sub facing upward, so which direction should i face the port? Should it fire towards the front, side, or back? I do not want to fire it towards the back if I do not have to because it make the trunk lid rattle more... Please help me w/ this asap... Thanks guys.

Which 6.5" speakers put out the best all around sound from 150w max to each speaker. I'll probably only be using two speakers in pvc wakeboard style enclosures. It would be nice to have a little bass as well as decent highs and mids.

I've been building my powerstroke and working so iv kinda moved away from audio but today I bought me a nice 2008 fusion daily driver and want to know, what's some new good stuff out there now? Want a pair of 12s. Nothing crazy. Only have around 2000 watts to push them with. What's every one think? Anyone have anything for sale?

I dont know what to do with thei TC e12a. I had planned to have it reconed to an 18 with SX soft parts but its so sexy. i dunno. But its broken everywhere i read these things hit so loud and so clean, some say there isnt another driver made to date with the same clarity, which makes since since a flat piston is optional. But, i go back to the fact that the basket is broken. This would be alot easier if it was an eclipse. if only somehow i could save the coil or have an exact one remade, have a custom 18" cone made and have it all put togather. GRRR. Opinions? How many of these e12a's are floating around that arent blown....or can you still get these reconed somehow?

I'm having trouble deciding if i want one stroker pro 12, or if i want one Fi BTL 15. either one would be going into a Jeep Cherokee. Which do you think would be louder?

Ok life's been hectic. Accepted a job offer starting out almost five bucks more an hr than I make now.. after 3 years. The audio has been on hold. Looking for a tahoe or gmc yukon. Just want opinions. Either going to order my second dc level 6 18.. or just order a pair of ssa evil 18s. For the price of one sub is close to just ordering the evils. And I know y'all are biased. But that's ok. I the level 6 is a skull cracker.. But not very musical. I don't want something just for burps lol

I'm also wondering who makes the best 4" hands down? i installed an alpine head unit and i initially wanted to keep it consistent by hooking up alpine speakers, but if i could get a better sound out of it with another speaker manufacturer, then i would be pleased. Ok. I'm starting back into audio but thought I'd start off with a decent boom/bang. Looking mostly for SQ with a little SPL. I already own a "brand spanking new" Zed Audio Kronos, pre-ordered a Stereo Integrity BM Mk V (I'm kind of limited in space). I was thinking of adding a SSA IC 150.4 and a set of 6.5 Evil Mids(I guess 8 ohm versions) and Evil 1 Tweeters. Alright well I am about to put it in the box and I know I have to drill the surround so I can drill the screws in there. Should I remove that sticker on the bottom of the sub? And are there any specific ways to drill it? Is there anything else I should do when putting it in the box?

Found a great deal on ebay for Hertz HSK 165 and Mille MLK 2 . 2011 models . I was reading about the Mille having tweeter protection ,is this a good thing to have ? Are hertz really that good ? I've heard nothing but good reviews about them . The tweeter protection concerns me cause my Orion HCCA would cut out at loud levels but i dont think they were distorting . It had to replace them cause of that . Is it worth an extra $100 for the Mille series or should the HSK high Energy be enough ? I have about 125+ rms clean per channel from my ESX 1204 amp Thanks

Hey guys i'm looking for a set of components. With the $500 im playin around with, I figure I can buy a new sub amp, probobally a viper 1200.1 for my subs. I will use my 300 wRMS x2 amp to power some components, which seems like a lot but i think I could get by with gains set low. do u guys think thats safe? anyway my budget for comps is less than $200. I will be installing the mids in my doors, imaging isnt a major concern for me, and I cant build kicks anyway. what are some good ground pounder subs? i have no plans in competing i just want something that have deep bass that can go low and sound good in the process... i have 8.3 cubes where the rear seats would be in my truck. i dont want to run no more than 5500 watts. Something that love low tuning would be great and my budget is $1200 max for just subs. the size of the subs really dont matter all that much. Those who have heard the Hybrid Audio Clarus C61-2, how did they sound? Im referring to tonality, frequency extension (both high and low), general sound characteristics? I have read the review in CA&E and just looking for more personal opinions.
