my buddy is getting rid of his 4 12" L7's and wan't to get 3 15"L7's.. but the amp he has is 1ohm stable and he wont get full output with that amp cause 3 dvc 4ohm subs wired in series can only go down to 2.6 ohm load!! so which amp would you guys reccommend at 2 ohms? the amp he has now is the hifonics brutus 2600 or 2800 not 100%sure! not sure on his budget but i believe he doesn't care!

Hey guys, well i am thinkin of buying a 2006 g35 coupe which has 7.8 cubic ft of trunk space and the system i have is 2x12's in a ported box. dimensions are 1.75ft x 2.75ft x 1.42ft = 6.84 cubic ft. i would have a little under a ft of space left over assuming it would fit at all. i also have to somehow fit 2 sundown amps in there as well...is this the stupidest idea ever or should i take a stab at it??????? if it all works i would have 4000watts pumping through the car.

Okay, so I have a RE SX, I have had it for a year now and I am kinda getting sick of it. So, I was wondering. What kind of difference would it make going to a DC Level 4? I will be running 1000 watts to it. Would I be happier? I like good, loud, clean bass.. but who doesn't?

planning on running 2 of these. are they able to handle upwards of 1200-1400W?? i know they are rated at 500 rms each.

What is peoples opinions on it, and where do you find the specs on it?

I've been reading that if i want loud for music, i need to go with as much cone area and power as i can. My limited power available is only 4,400w. To keep costs down, i've been looking at some subs at sonicelectronix and i see 2 that seem pretty interesting to me. They are all 12s. Clif Designs CDNUC12 Clif Designs Absolute VI 2000.4 Absolute That Absolute is the D6 version because they have no current info on the D4. I was also lookin at AQs SD2.5s but these subs are cheaper. The reason why i posted this thread is because i'm being told that running 4 12s for daily driving, because of more cone area and more heat dissipation, is gonna be a better, louder choice that run…

a local shop has a brahma laying around never used except for caraudio.com mag testing and they want 4 bills for it...is it worth it? and what are your opinions on these. and they also carry USD audio. has anyone ever heard of/used these??

Hi, is there any difference to building a box with one side being plexi glass? would it change tuning? Is there a special type of glass i need to use? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

do you think the level 5 would be able to handle a stetsom 7k per sub in a 6th order bandpass cause im going to have 2 15s and 2 amps, the rear chamber will be 6 cubes tuned to 40 htz and the front chamber is 24 i think let me know your input

Just ordered 2 of these woofers, I havent asked Rusty yet, so I thought i would just ask here maybe to see what I should tune these at. I was thinking 36-38 hz? Let me know what oyu think.

Well, after further examination, one of my SPL 12's is completely trashed. 2 of the tinsel leads are burnt and the surround almost came loose from the frame. Some slight tearing is obvious on the surround and the coil was somehow misaligned, you'll see in the pictures where it managed to rub against the pole piece and the coil gap. hey Mark, looks like I'll need some recones in the future Just some advice, don't paint the inside of the basket where the soft parts are mounted. well as it always happens i want to make a little more noise now and im starting to upgrade in the process of getting a t40001bd and 2 d3100 im torn between 2 18" btl's with p chamfer and the hixmax coil OR 2 18" bl's loaded im looking for reliability first and then loud tuned musically 31hz ish i guess my price range is 700-900 depending on whats out there im just trying to keep up i mostly listen to rap but i like how on the Q i can put some rock in and impress people with how the big slow 18 keeps up i got like 11 ^3 ft and polly fill to work with also any input is needed and appreciated

Ok now I need your guys unbiased opinion on which subs should I get. I will be getting a Sundown 3000D:). I have about 10-11 C.F to work with. Which combo will or has the potential to get louder? The BL's are less expensive but with the NS's I can always upgrade to another 3000D if I feel its not loud enough lol. Will the NS's be louder enough to compensate for the price difference? i recently picked up 2 15 inch RE destroyers...i thought they were MT's that had a recone. come to find out they are not lol. Apparently RE made 24 Destroyers. they are very similar to a MT with the same basket only painted dark gray metallic and have a slightly bigger motor. suppossedly they have 4 inch voicecoils and have to spl of a MT but better SQ too...only 24 EVER MADE! any info on these would be great cuz i know absolutley nothing about them other than they were used in comps by team toxic bass

As far as sheer linear displacement (Xmax x Xmax x Sd) does anything have more Vd? I know there are some other very nice drivers such as the TCSounds drivers that have 38mm Xmax... what other drivers are in the same arena, if any, if not, whats closest?

I hooked up a meter to the coils of this sub and it reads 1.9 on both sides.. On the meter there is an Ohm section and its set at 200.. The picture is kinda blurry but you can get a good view on where its set at.. Can someone help me out on what coil configuration this sub is.. Its dual 2 ohm right? Heres the pics..

Hey.... I recently sold my BL 18'S and want to either go with a BTL 18 or an re xxx 18. I am wondering which would be better in my application..... mainly spl oriented set up to be used daily. I must say I loved my bl's and don't know much about RE subs. Thanks
