Subwoofers / Speakers

What do you guys think about that? A good switch or should i stick with the BTL's? But either way im wanting to change my 12's to some 15's.. so its between the new BTL 15's or new lvl 5 15's

Well it looks like the SI 15" is going to have some competition from the 16" OV2 as it finally came out. I guess we'll see which is supreme. Some of the comments from mags for the ED line: "the embodiment of what a great subwoofer should be" "the real deal" "defines how low frequency should be reproduced"

so basically, there are tons of competitors out there. the question is, what is the best 15 inch out there for a budget of ~450 i was looking at an Fi BTL 15 inch fully loaded but then i saw the hdc315 this one is a lot cheaper but is it even close to these competitors? i hear a lot about this sub from a lot of people that recommend it. then i saw the DD audio 3515e, called up a dealer and got a price with a recommended box for a total of 580 bucks with tax and all. thanks for your comments. i look forward to see what people think. also, next question is, what amp should i go for? im looking for something in the price range of ~200-300

Now days the new Fi Q's are rated for 1500 RMS stock, 1700-1900 RMS with cooling while the AA Havoc is rated for 1250. In searching older reviews and comparisons I have read that for the most part the Havoc plays better down low but I don't know if it will handle the 1800-1900 watts RMS daily the Crescendo BC3500D will be giving it. I would like for the enclosure to be 5.0 net cubes tuned to a medium of 31 Hz either way and I prefer lower end deep and ground-pounding bass in the 28-36hz range more than anything. hey guys i have a cascade omega 15 and i love it it handles power no problem .... my question is can i run a night shade with my saz 3000 d daily like i do with my omega? and which would sound better? an which one had a bigger mag i never saw them compared.

ok I'm planning my next system right now. (last one got stolen) I'm thinkin 2 RE SR10's ported going under the back seat of my '02 Ext. cab silverado. Realizing there is almost no room back there I figure the best plan would be to build two different enclosures for each side. Doing so would give me about 0.88 ft.^3 per sub after sub displacement. But to make these vented I'm thinking could make external ports over the transmission hump. Does this seem like a bad idea?

Hey guys, A thought has hit me as I look through the forums, and I was wondering if anybody could give me their opinion on this matter. Ok, so why when somebody decides to focus on the "Front stage", do they only focus on the front two doors? I understand that the driver is up front, so maybe that is the primary reason for this. When I look at a install, I would see anywhere from two to eight door speakers but only in the front two doors. I don't understand why isn't it kept to the equal amount of speakers that are in the back two doors, or for cars, the back deck? To me, if I was to put 3 door speakers up front, I would put 3 door speakers in the back as well. I underst…

Question in title If a subwoofer is meant for a 1.6 cubic ft ported enclosure, but let say I put it in a 1.8 or 2.0 cubic ft one, what exactly are the risks and/or consequences? Also, what would happen if a port is too small for the sub? what if the port is too big (too wide/long)?

Well im looking for a new sub(s) and the two im looking at right now are a 12" BTL dual2 off 2300 watts or two Fi Q's off 1100 a piece i have around 3.5 cubes that i can still be comfortable in the truck I can go up to 6, but im trying to get something smaller so i have room i have around $400 to play with, I am basically wondering what would be my best alternative. I am fairly used to my tc-3000 in 3.5 cubes off 1000 watts, how would both of those compare in SQ and output? I hear really mixed things about the BTL how bad is the SQ? Hello everybody im just looking for some new subs and as of now i i have 2 10 kicker l3 running off a dx 1000.1 and its fairly loud but i want more and i was thinking about 1 12 kicker l7 but i am open to suggestions and i dont want just pure spl but i do want it loud and its in a single cab ford so i dont have alot of room just need some suggestions

After throwing my original plan around for 4 18 inch bl's I decided I just don't want everything to be packed in so tight. I need some room. So I have a question..... Either 4 fi bl 15's or 2 btl 18's. Either setup will be powered by 2 hifonics 2608d's. Help is appreciated.

I had planned on getting the edi 6500 comps and a nine.2, but I decided at this point I should save up some money for my next car then get whatever I want. In the meantime though my stock speakers are NOT cutting it. They are the cheap stock ones that come with a 98 jeep grand cherokee. Are there any cheap coaxials that I can just run off my h/u but will still sound half decent? Since October I have blown 2 subs using the same enclosure and amp. I have the right electrical to back it all up. Originally the sub was a 10 inch xcon which I popped mid November then sent it to SPLaudio for a recone, received it back mid December and now I popped it again. it is in a 1.4 cube box tuned to 32hz. All gains set right and all bass boosters on my stereo are at 0.. any help is appreciated. Thank you.

whats some sub choices? i want LOUD daily bump...only want 2 subs, nothing less than 15's. dont really want 18s. are mt's a dumb idea? like ive heard alot of systems that hit around 150-152 on the TL, i really want mine that loud, but daily, not just on burps...

My g/f is wanting to use my old sub box to replace her current RF sub setup. She has a PPI i450 (450w @ 2ohm) amp and we've been looking at either SSA DCON or the IA I-series. Goals would be that the sub has to work with the current amp and work well with the box. Box is made for a 12" sub and is 1.35cu ft (was previously made for an ICON) and is sealed. She's primarily looking for more output and deeper bass than her current sub which is a 10" $50 RF sub, so I know either of these will be better. Which sub would be the better to go with? Are there better options than the two mentioned above?

Running them off a 100.4 and Pioneer 9800. Filter on the headunit is at a 6 db slope. Gain set around 75 rms, LPF is 2500hrz and subsonic at 200hrz. How do these setting sound? and also vocals can be heard through a speaker like this? Just curious

Ok so i had went to the meca show here in my town of bakersfield on saturday and wow!!! There had to of been over 200 show cars there and all of flex issues rides. The food was good, the ladies were lookin good, and the Dc audio was slammin!! Iv never heard dc before this and i had always wondered what the fuss was about but now i know. There was a suv there with 4 18s doin 155 and at the end of his run he had shaddered his windshield completely!! Then a little crx with 2 12" dc xls puttin in work like no other. All together it was an amazing show and i Had lots of fun.
