Just thought I would post up a link to some aura sound buy-outs just in case people may have not seen them. The components should be decent especially considering the price. I have personally never had bad experiences with aura gear, but haven't really used alot of it either. They also have some nice priced amps too. I ordered 4x6, 6.5 coax, and 6.5 comp. Won't be able to give a review however, as they will be shipped to my brothers house in another state. Here is the link: aura sound Tony Nelson

for about 2 years now i have been running a set of ID ctx65cs components off a MB quart dsc4125 which does 125x4 @4ohms and 250x4 @ 2ohms, and i liked it, but i blew the drivers side mid coming home from work the other day, and i figure now is a good time to upgrade. what do you guys thing about this package deal?http://www.wooferset...r-speakers.aspxseeing as how i want to get some rear fill speakers anyway, seems like a good deal to me, any input on those components? im assuming that the rms rating that they have listed is just for the front component set that comes with it, because if you go to the component speakers themselveshttp://www.wooferset...t-speakers.aspx, it…

I have received samples in the past and personally feel they are over the edge. Heck, 18" units are too big for many. What's your take on something like this? Best, Mark

My girlfriend finally confessed she wants some bass in her ride. So I'm trying to figure out what I want to do as far as her sub. I'm looking for a decent 10".. nothing special. Rated around 300-800 rms. SPL or SQ don't outweigh each other here.. this is more or less just practice for me as far as my box building goes, and adding a little bass to her Saturn Ion. Preferably need a d2 so I can get a final 4 ohm load to bridge. I'll probably just be getting a cheap 2 ohm stable A/B amp to push it.. She doesn't care or have the ear to tell the difference in quality so it doesn't really matter. My budget is no more than ~100-120 after shipping for the sub. I'm open to all i…

I am saving to upgrade my front stage and was pretty set on a set of hsk 165 xl's but I have been reading about active crossovers and I am interested. Are there any speakers that work better than others on an active setup? Would I still be able to use these Hertz active down the road? I am looking to keep it in the $600 range but I am also a believer in do it right the first time. Will be placing the new speakers in the front doors of my '96 Accord sedan, powering them with a 300 watt 4 channel alpine and ditching the 6x9's in the back. Any advice or recommendations for a good active setup? I listen to my fair share of hip hop and dub step but when I listen to classical g…

I have a 03 Re Audio SE motor. I plan to use this as a learning experiance. I am in contact with Nick@fi about getting parts to build it into a 15. Anyway, I was wondering how people go about cleaning the CA off the top plate? I tried scraping it but that got me nowhere especially with the magnetic field pulling on it. Is there anything that breaks down CA glue that won't harm the motor? Also I cleaned the gap with sticky notes and a skinny wooden rule with masking tape on it. Is there any other ways I don't know about for future refference? The gap is clean and taped up now but it was a PIA. The SE was a 10 previously and suffered from coil rub. And it had shavin…

This is for a friend of mine, he doesn't care about SQ that much, he just wants an ok sound that is extremely loud, so i'm basically looking for a cheap 12" spl subwoofer. He would like to keep it under $150 per sub. He wants it really loud, i'm talking 140db loud if possible, th cheapest sub that you guys think can hit that, he wants two 12" subs.

  13. Anybody ever hear of this company? All they make is extremely high priced speakers and a single 10, 12 and 15. They claim to build very high efficient spl subs but the cost is ridiculous. For instance, they have a 10" sub that only uses a 2" coil, rated at 400wrms but goes for $1,000 new, $800 on ebay or $500 if you are sponsored. Here is their site- www.acshockwave.com

I was wondering if anyone had any input on this matter So I have a single 15" xcon that I can barely fit into my trunk, it's a 2005 grand prix. I've built two boxes for it and both of them will not fit smooth in the trunk. Meaning I tried to get the optimal box volume for the sub and it wouldn't fit unless I put the top plate on after it was in the trunk. Not a good idea when trying to remove it. So I was thinking of maybe trying 4 8 inch subs. I just wanted to hear if any one had any thoughts of the output comparison. Will the output be somewhat close to the 15, will it have a completely different sound. I've never heard 4 8s so I have no idea how it will sound

Just picked up a pair in a trade. Probably going in my trailblazer. Anyone have any experience with these? I dig the lows and it's looking like I'll be tuning for 31-33Hz. Any trailblazer people have any tricks of the trade for the build? I'm thinking subs up, port back. This will be a daily on around 1k. 19. Went and met with the owner today at his shop......we bs'd around for awhile and took home a few subs! They have the AMH, KMH, and BD Series...I snatched 4 of the BD series 12's (Their biggest at the moment) Rated at a "conservative" 1,000rms .....from what i have heard they are VERY efficient subs! Only time will tell....me and owner are building a box for them within the next week....I'm likely gonna tune them to 33hz....maybe lower. Maybe i'll do a review and throw up some TL vids.... Anyway....on to some pics!

Hi. I was just wondering what the best 4x6 front door speakers would have to be in your opinions. What I am dealing with is the following: 2001 Pontiac Grand Am GT Stock Monsoon Sound System 2 Kicker Comp 12s Kicker ZX750.1 Mono Amp Kicker 4 Gauge Wiring Kit Kicker Rear 6x9s And now all I need is the front two stock door speakers replaced. I was wanting something with a high rms wattage but good quality as well. I was thinking the Kicker 4x6s since everything else I have is Kicker, but is there something better? I, personally, like Kicker, but I am looking for the best of the best here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  24. Ok I dont understand how the guy from the tahoe is running 12 tweeters from one T600.2? Yes I also dont understand how two 1000.4 amplifiers are running ten 6.5inch speakers, two 4inch midranges and two 8inch midbass Can somebody tell me how is that wired? doesnt so many speakers on each channel cause the impedance to be insanely low causing the amp overheat or inestability? am I missing something here?

lately i've heard quite a few bigger name companies have used various TC sounds motors on their own sub lineups, and i'm wondering, is it possible to salvage the motors (and baskets?) to recone these subs? If so, which models should i be looking out for? I know Eclipse used some in their Ti and 8200 range, and Lightning Storm, Ground Zero etc, but i think Eclipse are going to be the easiest to track down. Also, who can recone these, and to what size? I've found that Fi can recone them in this thread, but it looks like their baskets arent a great fit for most motors. Any help appreciated guys
