As the title says, im looking to replace my 2 10s and Im having trouble finding some that work well in my enclosure. Its a sealed dual 10 enclosure with 1.1 cu ft for each sub. Everything I have looked at has an optimum sealed enclosure of .5-.8. Anyone have some suggestions for me, price range would be around 500 for the pair. Thanks

I know you are not suppose to take efficiency into consideration but what if you were comparing 2 different subs from the same company? I had been thinkin about goin with 4 Lvl4 15s and they have an efficiency rating of 89.4 The Lvl4 XL 18s have an efficiency rating of 94.77?!?! So... 4 15s efficiency should be 95.4 and 2 of the 18s should be 97.77... am i to assume that the 2 18" XLs are gonna kill the 4 15s? I know 4 15s may have more surface area but efficiency plays a role in that and apparently, it doesnt apply here. Lookin for some crazy numbers in the lanes and just wonderin if i'm bout to buy the wrong thing...

I have 2 18" Zcons I recently got, and I just realized the baskets are slightly different. 1 sub stands a little taller then the other, one basket has the option to be a quad terminal, and has different cooling. Wondering if I can still wire subs together to 1 amp with no worries. All coils read 1.0

OK so I'm not really sure what details and what not someone would need to do this. I'm wanting to upgrade and have been told by numerous people that modeling is my best option to make my best decision on new sub's/ and or enclosure etc. I don't have internet access other than my phone so downloading modeling software is not an option I need help! I'll give the basics of what I have if more details are needed I will provide assuming there is a kind hearted person who will help me out here. 2004 Pontiac grand am Alpine mrx m240 wired at 4 ohms - 1500 watt which is capable of doing 2400 at 2 ohms. hey everybody, I've been debating over some time what my next set-up should be. Right now I have 6 JBL GT5-10s in the trunkspace of my Golf. I'm looking for something louder; I'm thinking of 2 15s...I have around 7-8cu-ft to use. I want something that will shake the ground, not buzz the ears. So I'm looking to tune them around 28hz. I've been looking at the Fi BTL's but I have never received any e-mails back from anyone there for over 5 months... any body have any ideas as to what sub I should look into? Some that have crossed my mind are: :: Orion HCCA :: AudioPulse LMS-Ultra :: RE Audio XXX :: DD 9500 series anyone have any other suggestions? Also, I'm in Canada, so shi…

What would be louder? Currently have a bl 15 in a 3.1 cu box. I was wondering if two Sa 10's in a walled trunk would sound louder then my one 15? I dont know if this makes any difference but my 15 is firing upwards in the back of my car.

I will have to make some door panels since the Crescendo 8's wont fit in the stock locations without the factory door panels blocking half the speaker. So I think panels are the best choice here. I will probably do them in 3/4 MDF and flush mount them and cover in black vinyl to match truck and box. I was going to do 6's also in doors but dont have room unless I really get into the storage areas of the stock panels which I dont really want to do. Should I do the FT1's flush mounted in door panels too or try my hand at fiber glassing some pillar pods in each corner. Will they be loud enough in doors? I hate to make a even bigger blind spot in the corner in the pillar, whic…

Will 480 watts be a sufficient amount of power for this sub? What's the best box I should use for this amount of power? I was thinking the recommended 2 cubic foot tuned to 29Hz would be a good choice but was wondering if there's anything else I should consider if I purchase one of these subs. Thanks.

I am getting a new 2001 mustang soon and looking into a new system to put in it. I measured and the largest box i could possibly fit into the trunk is 15x28x38. Somewhere suggested 2 SDC2.512-D4 and a AQ1200D which would run me a little under 600.I would like to be able to hit lows pretty good if possible. I was just wondering if this would work or if there is anything else that would be a better fit. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

So im building a box for 2 18" subs for a drummer of a band, it will only be used to reproduce the kick drum, and maybe the bass guitar. But what subs should I use? I don't want some 150 watt 18" crappy PA speakers, what subs can I use for this, he will probly be putting out 1000-1500 watts on the amp he will be using for the subs. Also should I tune the box higher or keep it at around 35hz. The band plays rock music, and im used to building box for cars that play rap. Thanks.

OK, so as some of ya know, Johnny Avarado is no longer with Powerbass. Johnny was the guy with the hookup for recones. Today I tried to get some XSD1 recones, & they said they knew they had the version 2 D2's no D1's , but will call me back if they can find any Version1 D1's. Also, they have recones for the ES subs, but they don't have any for the ES Double stack line......so I say, if you all compete with the powerbass subs, order up some recones NOW, weather you need them or not, otherwise you may not be able to get them. Some have said the Atomic AP recones will work NO THEY DON'T. the AP's are 2 1/2" VC the XS's are 3" on the 15's, I do not know about the 12's (Th…

  25. I have a 2g wired the output my car, don't want to get a new alternator for subs so everything is stock other than the wires and 200a monster fuse. Getting a soundqubed 1200.1 and need hell choosing either 1 sunfown 12 SA or soundqubed hds 2 in a custom box and maybe an extra battery. Need to know which ones better or what's best for $600 for subs, box, wires, batter. Which would shake up my car? I plan on powering them 1000w or I was going to get 2 but if one in the right box would do temporarily id want to save money since I'm only keeping the car for 4-5 months more. What do you think
