i currently am running a 15" fi bl on a saz-1000d in a ported box facing up in a trunk. i was looking into getting either a single 10 or 12 or maybe 2 10's to replace the 15 and still run the saz-1000d so i can face the subs toward the rear and free up some trunk space since my current box pretty much uses up the whole trunk in my grand prix. all sugestions are welcome i dont really have a set budget just want something matched with my amp and was wondering what you all feel might be the best fit.

I will have to make some door panels since the Crescendo 8's wont fit in the stock locations without the factory door panels blocking half the speaker. So I think panels are the best choice here. I will probably do them in 3/4 MDF and flush mount them and cover in black vinyl to match truck and box. I was going to do 6's also in doors but dont have room unless I really get into the storage areas of the stock panels which I dont really want to do. Should I do the FT1's flush mounted in door panels too or try my hand at fiber glassing some pillar pods in each corner. Will they be loud enough in doors? I hate to make a even bigger blind spot in the corner in the pillar, whic…

Can 't decide. I was in Sound Advise listening to the demo speakers, wanted to check out the Clarion decks. I coulda sworn the W7 was hittin with the Z6s until I realized it was just the components that were playing! Nice stuff. How do the 307s compare to this?

Alrighty, Sadly it looks like my Infinity Reference 5.5" speakers are dying. (guess it more sounds like that...). Anyways, my one speaker sounds fine.. but the other one is starting to sound quieter and not nearly as sharp and i think its time to switch it up a bit. What i was looking at were the Bravox CX50CF coaxial speakers or the CX50K components.. My first main question i guess is from the SSA store do these come in pairs? or are the speakers priced individually. Also iv heard good reviews from other Bravox speakers but i havent really found any reviews on these particular ones. Obviously im looking to stay in about the same SQ range as the Infinity's, …

I just got my magnum in the mail today . I put it right in my box (2.1 @29hz) and wired it up to a brutus 1000 at 1ohm, put in some sublime and wow .I've never had a sub before so this if my first install. I've only heard other kids at my high school and the only one that even comes close to this in loudness and sound quality is a kid w/ a 12L7 in a less than 1 cube box and it's still not as loud. This may not be the right place to post this but if anyone has this amp has any ideas what to set my amp settings at, that would be wonderful. There's Subsonic 15-36hz, bass eq 0-18, lowpass 35-250, and the level/gain 9v-.2v. Thanks.

I was looking at getting a SS RLP 18 but I came across a good deal on one 15" REVO and would buy another. My question is are they good for a daily loud setup? I have done SPL subs in the past but want a low end monster now that is loud to the ear doesn't matter about a meter we don't have any compitions here anyway. Would they work good?

Will 480 watts be a sufficient amount of power for this sub? What's the best box I should use for this amount of power? I was thinking the recommended 2 cubic foot tuned to 29Hz would be a good choice but was wondering if there's anything else I should consider if I purchase one of these subs. Thanks.

hey fellas, i recently bought a new car, a 1999 olds 88 ls. its a grandpa car, i know, but thats ok, cuz i like it. now i like keeping the stock look for now, and dont have a lot of time/money/energy to put into the stereo right now. the stock system is ok for now, but i would like to upgrade the speakers for a little more clarity, midbass, and maybe the ability to turn it up a little louder with a little less distortion (though i realize this is probably also because of the stock cd player.) im wanting just some low-mid level upgrades for front and rear speakers. front speakers will probably come first. first question, is this even going to be worth it, if im not add…

I have a 2002 nissan altima without the bose speaker system. I currently have a Pioneer deh-4200ub headunit and in the front I put in 2 alpine type S coaxial speakers. In the rear deck are 2 pioneer 6x9s that were installed by the previous owner. Im looking to add some more midbass to my system because the current speakers just seem sort of flat. I dont have an amp hooked up and the HU is powering the speakers. Ive read here that an amp is necessary to get the most out of your speakers because the HU pushes something like 22w. Im pretty content with the type S's up front sq wise. They are 5 1/4 if I remember right and thats all that would fit in there without fabrication …

  15. I did a quick search and it seems like an XCON in a sealed box is acceptable but curious to hear some additional opinions and or suggestions for a new setup in my New Jeep. I have had my 12" XCON powered by a Rockford T1500 running at 4ohms in a large ported box (forget dimensions) and it's been great for years. I'm looking to put a new system in my Jeep Grand Cherokee but I don't want the huge box in the back exposed. So I'm leaning towards a sealed setup. I could switch it up all together but I'd prefer to use the gear I already have. Opinons? Box design suggestions? Anyone else have a Jeep GC?

I have these 2 subs in a 2 cube sealed box. My amp is a JBL 1200.1 I'd like to keep this box as it uses my trunk space very well. Before these subs, I had an 12" Brahma in a 2 cubic foot vented box that aboslutely slaughter. Sadly it was stolen and by then Adire was long gone. Keeping my current sub and box, what pair of 12's would you all recommend? $250 each would be a reasonable max. Less is even better.

Alright to start off i dont mind waiting for a little. So the question is what should i wait for . I have and ext cab s10, i believe if i do a half wall i will be able to put two of the spl 12's he has cooking in a ported box in the back. or i could go will two of his 15's in a ported box, or finally one IXL 18.4 in a very big and stuffed sealed box.. I would love a lot of output, i could deal with a little SQ but spl is my main concern, as well as lows i absolutly love my lows so what do you thank i should get. I dont know exactly how much i can fit back there but it should be around 7-9 cubes for the half wall.

Hi every body ! A friend of mine wants a 15" sub for his system. He has a DTI amp that pushes about 1200 watts rms at 1 Ohm. I think it's like a Boss amp ! So, numbers are not very accurate. He wanted a 1000 watts rms sub, but can go down to 600-700 rms. He wants it to be loud, not for breaking spl records, but not into SQ ! I showed him 3 available subs : Sundown SA 15, Kicker CVX, and Alpine type R. What do you think ? Any other choice ? Ooh ; budget is less than $300, $250 will be better. We have big shipping fees to add later. Waiting on you guys ! Thanks

  25. Which one would be the best at 600-700W at 2Ohms in an SUV. Which one would be the overall winner on comparing the lows, distortion, mechanical noise, efficiency, how musical it is, how clean it sounds. Basically for an SQ build I'm gonna look into very soon. Other suggestions in the price range are welcome.
