I recently ordered I'd CX62s to run off of my sundown 100.4. I want to find some 2 ohm comps that can handle around 150wrms and can be had for around or less than 200. I got my IDs for under 150 so hopefully it's possible.

So my subwoofer (Alpine Type R 12") is dual voice coil 4 ohm. Now what I'm confused with is it's wiring down to 2 ohms (for 500 watts RMS). I wired down to "2 ohms", but is that per voice coil, making it 4 ohms, thus leaving me with only 300 watts RMS? If so, does that mean I'd have to wire it down to 1 ohm, making it 2 ohm total? Basically what I'm asking is if the ohms are per voice coil, or total. Any help would be great! This would really make things clear.

  4. I am wondering which amp setup would be better to run on some.mid range bass door speakers and tweeters? I see a lot of people running 4 channel ones but wanted to know everyone's input on them considering I have a 2 channel just sitting here at home that hasn't seen any power yet.

do they make magnet boots for them? I have yet to see one with it on it and I know the level2/3s have them.. unsure on 4s or 4xls. Also, to Rusty... do you sell just the motors? Interested in making some hybrid subs and it'll be my first time building them.

While im savin up money im still exploring my options and for abt the same price i was i could go these two directions..... -2 re se 12s getting 600 watts a piece (dunno which amp yet) with 1.0 cubes a piece before displacement OR -a single 12" magnum d2 in a 2.65^3 box before displacements tuned to 28hz using two 4"x40.5" aero ports powered by a jl 500/1 now, I was just wondering you guys' overall opinion btwn the two any and all comments/suggestions/help would be appreciated! Just out of curiousity, which would have more output with 1000 watts? I know both have great SQ. 1 Icon 15 ported or 2 RL-i 10s ported? Each setup for a LSQ setup, not a SPL or SQ setup.

Hey all, I was thinking about getting 2 RL-i8's for my 99 4door Tahoe, would this be enough to get decent bass? I know I have a lot of room for subs but I don't want to take up too much space (I have 2 kids). I have not heard these subs before, but from the vedio that was put out from the hellboy box amazed me. I know I wont get thoes numbers they put up but I still want some decent sound and loudness. Thanks for any input.

I am looking to build a ported box for a pair of rl-i8s. The maximum trunk space I can give up is 37.5x16.5x8.5. Can I build a ported box this small and would these subwoofer be good for this setup? I am also considering useing 2 or 3 Crystal CMP8s. I am looking mostly for SQ but want those extra low tones a ported box can give. Thanks

  12. I am running an Audioque 3500d.1 to 2 DD3512e d4, if I run both pos and neg wire (with 8 ga.)one direct to each woofer (parallel) will this get me a little more wattage to each woofers? Currently I am running just one pos and neg wire (12 ga.)to the box and the woofer are ran parallel from there.

I currently have 1 sa-10 @ 600rms in a sealed box and am looking to go a little louder. I plan on lowering my amp (massive audio n3) to 1 ohm to get up to 1400rms. I'm debating on whether to get 1 12" fi Q (1500rms) or to just add another sa-10 (600rms each). They will be put in a sealed box (pls don't suggest a ported box, I'm not interested ) Thoughts?

So I currently have Kicker CVXs upgraded from some MTX Subwoofers that used to have 400RMS. None the less I feel like I don't have the 1000 watts that I should and most people are telling me it's my box. My box is 1.8 cubes and that's for both subwoofers. Kicker barely fits and I was looking as the SA-10 requires .5, so surely giving it .9 each would make it sound REALLY good? It's a sealed box and I'm just trying to destroy my truck essentially. I've got the BRZ1200.1 amp and I hope that these subwoofers will do well in my single cab. I couldn't find the frequency response on these though....if anyone knows can they share it with me? EDIT: Posted on the wrong forums but …

I am debating about getting another sa 15 and building a new box, or just sell the sa 15 and put the money to a new zv.3 15. The box i currently have is 4.1cubic ft tuned to 32hz. My amp is an american bass ph4000md. I would just like other input from others to help make my decision.

I plan on running either one sa8 v2 or two v1.5s. They both would end up being about the same price ordering the 1.5s from woofercooker reconed. These will be going in a 4th order band pass. My question is are the v2s so much of an improvement that I should get one of those or would two 1.5s be louder? I was too focused on 18s while the whole sa8 train was going around so I missed all the info on them. Thanks.

Hi there. My son is contemplating an upgrade to his sub. He has just one 8 and was wanting 2 SA8s. Then we talked to woofersetc and they suggested 2 SA10s. He has a trailblazer so enough room. Hi is running a Cadence ZRSC9 running 2 channel to the fronts and other two channels bridged to his current sub. He is just looking for more bass, doesn't really want to build a box. Input appreciated. SuperDaveTX

This is setup temporarily until I make another box. Still working on another 4th order I just wanted to see how this huge port performs. I posted a buildup of the port over on caraudio.com. It's 10.75" internal diameter and it flares out to 15.5 on the large flare and I don't remember the smaller flare. Finally got the electrical system where it needs to be...HO alt, 3 new batts, and new amp. Here's the pics! It moves a ton of air. Juice Box is an awesome song to play

My question is pretty straight forward I'm currently upgrading from 2 type r 12s I am just wondering what i should go with 2 ssd 18s or 1 btl 18 any suggestions? I have enough space for either, and will buy enough power for either thanks i'm not sure why i wouldn't go with the btl I just think 2 18's in my s10 would be gnarly

I was reading the topic about running 1 vc on a dvc sub, started reading on a link provided in one of the posts by Impious and it got me to thinking. I have 2 SSA Icon d1 subs and want to keep a 1 ohm load, which would be the better option for best daily output off a Sundown 1200v2? Run each vc per sub in series then parallel pairing the subs or parrellel per vc and series pairing the subs? Both subs sharing airspace in a ported box. I hope i am explaining this correctly.

Ok what's the deal with separate chambers for running more than one sub? How crucial is it really? I really want to end up with 2 15's in my Toyota Yaris sedan. Biggest box I can get in there is 32w x 16h x 26d (outside dim.). If the subs are exactly the same and amps are gain matched it shouldn't be that bad right? I know it's not ideal, but I really want the 2 15's.
