i am talking to Rusty about purchasing a lvl5 18 for my setup. it will be run off a zx2500.1 if i decide to go this route. any feedback on the performance of this sub? i have never heard them or see them work so i am going off of my limited audio knowledge. they will be in about 8 cubes ported in the trunk of a lincoln towncar. my goal is just daily street beating. is this sub more of an spl or sq sub? probably spl but i ask anyway

Need to hit all of the Sundown owners up to what boxes you have used. Ihave 2 SA 12's that i will be running at a 2ohm load off a Kicker ZX1000.1. Ihave always had sealed boxes and thought that they were better for SQ and the lower bass notes. I am open to suggestions as i have NEVER used one of these subs before. If i should go ported what should it be tuned to and how many cubic ft for 2? If sealed should i use poly fill and if so how much and how many cubic ft for 2? Any reference material or you tube videos you can link me to would be great. thanks guys.

So i'm in college now and i'm meeting new people that like car audio stuff. But they have Legacy and pyramid and things of that such, but their system is loud. I am going to have to attribute it to the car being small. One is a camry with 2 sony explodes and a powerbass basstube(from wallmart) hooked up to a kenwood amp. It beats pretty decent for the money he wpent on it, but i'm gonna say its a small car. Next is a chevy nova, again not as small as a camry, but not big either, so he has 2 mtx's whatever kind and a legacy amp. Hey, I got a Free P3 from a freind, only problem is that a chunk of the foam surround was missing. I know it can be replaced, but I don't know where I could get the foam, or where I could take it to get it done. I think it'd be a good project to learn how to do it, but I wanna take it to someplace to get it fixed. How much would it cost to get it fixed, and How much would it cost to fix it myself? And what would be involved in doing it? Tim.

hey guys im going 3 cu ft for 2 level 3 12's what kind of tuning do you guys use for these for rap? keep in mind just cause its rap i dont want it to sound like muddy ass..lol id like it to be musical..each sub will be getting 500 watts..this will be my first time with ported and i dont know shit about port area, volume all that stuff..and im having the shop build the box for me and install it, so if you guys can give me some numbers i can write them down and hand them to the shop..by the way reason im going with 3 cu ft is cause on there website it says 1.5 per 12'' unless you guys know something that works better

this was a hard decision but i found 2 12" 2nd gen mags for 370 shipped, it was either these or the new d2, i was wondering do these also perform well in sealed apps or ported apps, also what would be a good amp to push them, my 2500d took a crap on me and is a goner.

hey guy im thinking about buying a 1990 impala to play around with instead of having a sub infested Denali for everyday use...my dont know how much trunk space it have i can post some pic if it will help but heres what i was thinking..four sealed 15's, three ported 15's, or two 18's ported facing the trunk lid...opinions and suggestions please

Which one would be the best at 600-700W at 2Ohms in an SUV. Which one would be the overall winner on comparing the lows, distortion, mechanical noise, efficiency, how musical it is, how clean it sounds. Basically for an SQ build I'm gonna look into very soon. Other suggestions in the price range are welcome.

I have a 1996 Taurus and I am limited on trunk space. I dont think I will be able to fit 2 Maw-15's in a 6cuft^3 enclosure in my trunk. So I was wondering what sounded better.... 2 Maw-15's in a Sealed Enclosure or 2 Maw-12's in a Ported Enclosure. Thanks in Advance ~MadroX

I used to pair it up with a FI BL 18" but since I bought a new car, a 240sx, I must now think smaller. Im thinking two SSD's to be paired with the 1500D but im not looking forward to the hassle and the wait of shipping into Canada (Vancouver). If anyone has any other suggestions that would help, im hoping i dont have to shop online.

Ok I have a IA 40.1 and need two 15 inch subs that will handle 2k rms each daily? I play a lot of screwed & chopped mixtapes so keep that In mind as low frequency extension is key in this install.. thanks

I have narrowed it down to the fallowing subs and also will need recommendations for a box for the subs if possible. Im trying to use up as least possible trunk space as possible. I have Hifonics Brutus 1700 amp already. Im wanting to purchase new subs for my explorer once i get my tax return. i previously had 2 15" kicker L7s in a ported box power by a memphis mojo 2400 amp. id like to stick around paying a 1000.00 for subs/amp/head unit. maybe a little more. id still like to get 2 15's. i had the last sytem 4 years ago so ive been out of the loops on good sub/amp combos. could i get some recommendations please. im wanting to be very loud, not to worried about SQ either.

My friends dad has a 10w7 that either blew up, or just ripped the whole surround. I was wondering if there is any kind of recone kit for it. jl has them but they are 300 dollars. lol

Can anybody with a 1998ish jimmy/blazer/bravada show me some pics of where they mounted their tweeters and how hard it was. I recently got a set and havent found a good spot to mount them. Please tell me how long it took and what tools were needed. thank you!
