These 3 were chose because there close within budget. These Would all be pair's also. Had one sitting for 4 years thought the motor shifted finally took it apart. The coil had hard bottomed a couple of times and put a lip on it. Any venders here make a kit? also would it be it be feasible to recone into a 18" http://fixmyspeaker.com/product/18-6-spoke-frame/ would this work? thanks.

I purchased a pair back in '08 and used them for about 6 months or so and then took the box out of under my seat to make room for a hunting trip and never put it back. Going to sell them but can not remember nor find the specs on them. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

My uncle ordered a four channel for his bike and gave me an arc audio mini amp ( http://www.arcaudio.com/p/ks-125-2-bx-mini# ). Does 70 RMS @ 4 ohms x 2 and 125w @ 2 ohms x 2. So now I'm looking for a good set of 5.25 component speakers. I have a 2001 Buick lesabre and that's wat size comes stock in the front doors. For substage I'm going to be running a 18" SSA Icon sealed off on approx 1000 watts. I want crisp highs and warm mid bass that will blend well with my sub stage. Looking for good suggestions on a set in the 100-150 dollar range. My uncle has all Polk components in his truck and bike and think they ssound good. Any opinions on them?

I'm looking at putting two digital design 8's (500 or 600 series) under my back seat. My truck is a 2004 chevy ext. cab. I was told by the customer service guy at digital designs, that 8's would be better due to air space. Does anyone have a similar setup in a 2002-2006 chevy/gmc ext cab? I listened to one guys truck that had one 8 under the center console of an F-250 crew cab, it sounded good to me. I'm not looking to be heard a block away, but want something nice. Also, I was quoted $200-$225 for a custom built box at an audio store (in OKC) to hold the two 8's. Does this seem reasonable? Hey guys. I finally blew my alpine type R 15 after 4 years. Had my alpine mrd m1005 running to it in a sealed enclosure. It was loud and got 141.4 db at a local comp I did just for fun to see how loud I could get. Time for a new 15 to replace it. I'm wondering if anyone knows a good 15" that compares to the type r or better that will run off that 1000 rms nicely. Many of the subs I like seem to be made for ported enclosures. I'm not against ported box but can't afford to have one built right now and I always liked the sound quality from my sealed. So I currently have a 12" SSA Icon on a sundown sae 1200 in 2 cu ft enclosure tuned to 32 hz. I'm wanting to try something new and came up with the idea to recone it to an 18 and run it in a 4.5-5 cu ft sealed enclosure. I know it will have a flatter response but am I going to see a nice increase in output? I would assume because of the large cone area difference. I thought about trying a different sub but I like my icon and have always wanted to try a 18; and it'll be cheaper than purchasing a different sub. Will I be disappointed? Can anyone point out differences like pros and con's, lol. Any help is appreciated

Im planning on doing a very budget build for my santa fe. Space isnt a issue for what i want i have plenty of room. Im looking to do a build with 2 Hds200 15's and will have about 2500watts on tap & before rise & voltage drop(dont feed me the go to a different sub stuff please). I looked at the SQ website but i just gives a vague information on the enclosure sizes for the subs, also the port info is given in slot ports. Im just trying to gather info for these subs and determine a good size enclosure for them as well as the port(in aeros). Hey Gents! Could you please give me speaker recommendations for an active 2 way front stage? I want to run 1 set of tweeters where the tape measure is in this pic: 2" OD is probably the largest I'd like to mount here. I would like to put a 6.5" driver in the lower factory location: The direction of the 6.5 is not ideal as it points down and forward, but I really don't want to build custom kick panels at this time. I will be running a Pioneer 80prs HU, which I want to run active. I do not have the 4 channel amp yet, but the Crescendo 800.4 is my top runner right now when it comes back in stock. I have a pair of kenwood kfc-p709ps component speakers and need help with the cross over settings. The head unit i have is a eclipse cd5030 and the amp I am running the component speakers on is a jl audio 300/2v1.

I added a sa-10 in my nissan 350z and i notice i am having trouble hearing the music a little in my car with the sub turn all the way up. So i had to back down on the gain some tell the music sound better. now i am running stock component set's in my door's which i understand is the cause of my problem. My question is if i were to replace the tweeters with lets say some really nice jbl tweeter's i have would this help with my music tell i save up some money for better component set's.

I am working through my front stage as time allows and have some questions. i was told "told" that a mid range speaker should not be placed more than the radial distance of its counter part's (high range) cone diameter apart. if it is then the phase should be reversed. is this not a situation that one would use time alignment and perhaps a bit of phase adjustment (not just flip it 180) to compensate for any audio impurities with a tweeter and mid range placed a good deal apart? secondly: I just got my new Hertz 25 tweeters today, they sound very nice outside of the truck. tomorrow i intend to hook them up and this will leave only mid bass to contend with. at present th…

im wanting to get the best output out of my zcon before I build a box. im going to be running it on a bc3500 @ 1 ohm. the electrical will be good. using a singer 250 and 6 yellowtops. what my question is should I go with a bigger box around 3.5-4 cubes or a slightly smaller one because of of the power around 2.5-3 cubes. both tuned in the low 30's? any input/help would be greatly appreciated

Hello forum folks. I recently bought a pair of rockford 6.75s to throw in my rear deck of my Buick Park Avenue. Only problem I assumed they were 6.5s for which I had an adapter plate for to replace the factory 6x9s. I am willing to pay, but would anybody be able to make, preferably mdf, a 6x9 to 6.75 adapter?

i called american bass and they said to run it in a 1.25 cubic feet box with ported to like 37 hertz does that sound right to anyone ?

I currently have an older 12 alpine type r 2nd gen. Does anybody think going to a soundqubed hds312 would be an upgrade as a daily driver sub or would it just be wasted money? There is also no mention of the hds312 box recommendation, and I am wondering if it would be ok in a 1.5 cube sealed OR 2 cube ported. I would be running it off of hifonics brz1200.1d at 2 ohms for 900 rms but highly doubt it since stock voltage isn't at 14.4v, so maybe closer to 700?

i have a little problem in choosing which sub and how many. right now my setup in a singer 250amp alternator 6 phase with a dc audio 3.5k and a single IA DR upgraded goodies 15d1 in a 3.27cubic box before sub displacement my question is which 1 10" weather it be the xcon or icon could handle the power from a dc audio 3.5k after break in time. and still have a little room to shine or im debating getting 2 10" or a single 12". my problem is idk what kind of power people are giving the subs before they get "toasty" and want to "send out smoke signals" thank you in advance for your help

After having 2 systems stolen in the past, I'm trying to keep it as "stock looking" as possible. just ordered a single 12 zcon that im going to run on a bc3500.. so excited but damn I dont want to wait... I guess thats a small price to pay for such a quality product. I would also like to thank Aaron Clinton for being so helpful and answering all my questions and concerns with lighting fast response times... i will also start a build log once I get the sub in my hands.. what do you guys think? will it get me loud in a 02 cavalier?
