I have a mach5 audio MJ-18 i would like to throw it in a ported box but space is a huge issue. I could do 3.5 maybe 4 cubes at 34hz. will be giving the sub between 600-800 rms. i know its not optimal but it would be better than sealed correct

So I bought a sundown x-15 based off the rms and it being a sundown sub. I had a sa-15 and loved it, it hit all the notes I wanted and put in work. I had it powered by a kicker ix1000.1 in a 3.5 ish box tuned to 35hz. Now I just swapped the subs in the same box so I'm not too sure what the box is tuned to with the x-15 it hits low notes really nice, but most of the music I listen to doesn't have low low notes. My question is should I keep the x build a box for the x. And get a 8 or 10" for midbass, maybe that will fill the gap. Or sell the x a d get maybe a fi bl or ssa xcon, right now they will be powered by a alpine m240 later upgrading to sundown saz 3500 for a pai…

im looking for some nice componets for my jimmy, stock speakers i gotta have the bass almost off to hear them. i have a powerbass asa600.4 100rms x 4 @ 4ohm, i want 2 sets and no more than 400 total budjet. i was looking into these. if not these let me know alpine type r 6.5 comps rockford T1 6.5 comps

I am new to audio so I am going to play dumb. Can I have boston acoustic 3 ohm speakers in the front and 4 ohm jl audio in the rear or is the ohm difference going to cause a problem.

hey everyone...so i just installed my new audiopipe ap15001d about a week ago and am loving it! this icon is a totally different beast now! for a single 12'' it makes things rattle like crazy! i have set the gain with a dmm for about 900 watts or so (my box is 2.5 cubes tuned to 32hz with 37.5 sq inches of port so i dont have it at the full 1000 because the box is the manufactures maximum size) but recently i have noticed some poping and cracking noises coming from the sub during certain songs. now it doesnt do it on every song and there are about 3-4 that are making it do this. I've been looking online for subs. Since the best buy near me doesn't have anything. Here are some of the ones I'm looking at sub 1 sub 2 subs 3 subs 4 I'm on a lowish budget, and I'm trying to get an enclosure & amp combo. I obviously want the best for the buy. I just got myself a 2008 Toyota Tacoma and i am a sound quality guy. I was originally looking at two 10's sealed to go under the front seats. But then I saw that JL has that thin line subwoofer. Has anyone seen or heard the 13TW5 by JL Audio? I saw that and I was like "whoa...". And based on sound quality. I need some recommendations for a head unit. I like Alpines line of touch screens but then I dont. They almost seem cheap to me. Is there another brand or specific item that anyone can suggest? My friend drives a Chrysler Sunfire, and is looking at replacing the door speakers, along with the speakers in the back deck; His budget is ~500, but has to cover a new radio, and both pairs of speakers. Due to him not wanting to purchase a sub right now, what would be a quality set to invest in? He listens to a lot of rock and alternative and is concerned about how well the new setup will handle the drums and guitars.

Hello, i have been hearing many good things about the MAW subs, but i would like to know how they compare to other subs. I have owned INfinity kappa perfects, Perfect VQ, ED K series(original, and v2), and currently i am running an SS RLP 12. How does the output compare to these and others such as IDQ, or the current ED k series, since those can also run in small boxes for a 15. Also, since the Qts is so small on the MAW 15, can it run in a smaller box than the 2.2 sealed and 3.0 ported with good results?

I just bought two old 12" JL Audio W0's From the Pawn Shop today. They can in a small sealed enclosure. Will w0's work louder and better in a ported or sealed enclosure?

I have 2 10" Kicker L7's in my truck that are getting power from a Hifonics Bx1605d in a sealed fiberglass box I started noticing the the one on the right is acting a little funny and buzzing a little bit. i took it out the other day and realized that it has a rip in the coil. After doing some testing with a few different size subs and enclosures, I've decided that I need to go with a small enclosure. I don't want to go much larger than one cube. The box I have now is 1.21 cubic feet, and I that's about as large as I want to go (preferably smaller, though). So, I'm needing some suggestions for subs that work well in smaller enclosures but still get loud. Budget (for the sub) will be around $150, give or take. I'll have a custom box built, probably downfiring so I can throw stuff in the back and not worry about punching a hole in the sub. The amp I have does 300 @ 4 and 600 @ 2. ok so i have a 8" l7 and it has this knock to it from the research ive done im pretty sure the shaft the voicecoil ries on is tweaked a bit so the vc hits it is there any way to repair this? it would be awesome if i can cause then i can trade it and a cheap boss 600w amp for two RE 10's that hit 148 in comp and feedback would be great

Hey I'm getting a new car as soon as i get paid this month and I'm planning on getting some new stuff for it. I'm wondering about putting the Qs in a sealed box. Has anybody run them like this or maybe heard a sealed set-up? I'm really just wondering if they'll still sound good sealed up. Its also going in a Toyota 4Runner.

Ok, I already have one 3512 dual 2 ohm and a single saz-1500d. just wondering if it would be ok to get another dual 2ohm 3512 and wire them down to .5 on a saz 3500, or to wire them at 2 ohm on 2 1500's? expanding in the future is a possibility too.
