is the XXX suspension softer or stiffer than an SX, because compared to my SX, my XXX is not near as stiff, my SX is close to my friends L5, not quite but close, but XXX right from recone was not really stiff, is that right? just trying to solve some probs im having with my System

I came across a good deal on a set of RE 6.5" components. Not the XXX model just the RE model. Looking for some input from guys using these/have used these in the past. Thinking about swapping these in place of my Kappa 6x9's since one of them is flaky. I'm not looking to compete or anything. This is in my daily driver and will be powered by my Alpine V-drive (60x4) I think it's more like 25-30 rms head unit unless these need there own amp.

on the right amount of power in a good ported box tuned to around 35hz to 30hz, which sub will produce more spl...yes i know they are both more LOUD SOUND QUALITY oriented, but narrow it down to which one will be louder! jl w7 13 or Elemental designs 13 Av.2 i know the price of the ed is almost half of the W7 but sometimes that falls back on you get what you pay for!

How u doing, im from Miami Fl and i have a single cab dodge ram 1500 with 3 15" kicker cvx subwoofer in a sealed box. All powerd by 3 1100 MONOBLOCK MEMPHIS amplifiers. I have 2 kinetic batterys and a 250 amp alternator. I hit around 152.4 db with about 1.8 cubes for each speaker. what setup do u suggest? Maybe going with 2 15" subs like the FI BL and making a ported bot with about 2.5 cubes per speaker? Will a ported box be effective with the little air space i have? basically what speaker will give me the most db's with the set up i have now? here is a pic of my set up. Thanks for the help

Hello, i have been hearing many good things about the MAW subs, but i would like to know how they compare to other subs. I have owned INfinity kappa perfects, Perfect VQ, ED K series(original, and v2), and currently i am running an SS RLP 12. How does the output compare to these and others such as IDQ, or the current ED k series, since those can also run in small boxes for a 15. Also, since the Qts is so small on the MAW 15, can it run in a smaller box than the 2.2 sealed and 3.0 ported with good results?

I have a set of 8 Ohm Solo Baric subs I am looking to run on a Mono Amp. I used to have a set of Solo's that were 4 ohm that I ran on a US 1000x. Can't remember what the setup was but I know I had a neg from one sub running to pos to the other sub, then one terminal pos going to the pos on amp and neg going to the amp. Is that just a bridge Mono? Would that have been at 1 ohm? My question is, If I do that on my 8 ohm subs what Ohm rating will I be at. and also what is the exact wiring configuration. I need a recone kit for a Sa d4 15 750 rms

I have it hooked up, well I took it out of the car. I tried it on 2 different amps, one I KNOW is working at 1 ohm (hifonics 1200d) and my sub woudln't play. The Hifonics would immediately go into protect mode when the music started to hit the bass. The DMM says .7 ohm, maybe something is messed up. Here is how I have it wired: (it was originally this) But now come to think of it, I might have mixed it up, with the 1st postive and 2nd negative connecting to the positive output on the box. and then the 1st negative and 2nd positive connecting to the negative output on the box. I just installed my maw-15's. And they sound great. But I know alot of you say i must break them in. How long will that take? And how would you recommend breaking em in? I usually just play at half volume, but once in a while turn it up about max then turn it down after a few seconds. I do this for about a week and then start giving the sub alot of power constantly. I get carried away sometimes and just want to give the subs max power. I have a problem lol. will giving it a good amount of power once in a while, damage the future performance of the sub? Any tips on breaking in? And is the after math after breaking them in really that dramatic? And anyone wondering if they …

Hi guys, Im not quite sure if I put this in the correct section but Im sorry if its not right. Anyways I found I really good deal on a W7 on Craigslist close to my house. I was going to call the guy and make a time to check out the sub. Im pretty dumb when it comes to knowing what signs of abuse are for subs but I was wanting to know in general what are some things I WANT to see as well as some things I DONT want to see (as far as whether I should buy the sub). I mean I know that holes in the subs surround or any cracks are bad but as far as the mechanics of the sub what are some signs of abuse. Hope this makes sense.

Can i use a jl 6" w3v3 or maybe even 8" in my car for midbass drivers?? or would it not really make a difference? 2 12" ssa xcons off a saz-3000d. But i still can't put my hand on whether i want 2 12's or 1 15 ... would 2 6" jl's be good for midbass drivers though? like they can just fill the front of the car with a little more bass both are 150rms each.

I've got factories in the rear doors now, powered by a couple channels on my Crossfire VR404 (just wired it in when I did my fronts, just in case I'd upgrade in the future. easier all at one time). But I love the midbass kick, and I want more. Would it be ok to get some good midbass drivers and put back there? How high in frequency does it need to go before it gets directional? maybe 60 up to 250 hz or so ok? I also need some suggestions, probably 6.5". something that isn't any deeper than my JL XR 6.5's in front, but I'll have to look up their dimensions. I'm also thinking about ditching the ported box that my SI D2 is in, maybe try sealed. But I hate giving up t…
