I have 2 Rockford Fosgate rfr3110's and Im planning on building a ported box for them both but I want to know the difference between separating the 2 subs to one sub per chamber (2 ft^3) with 1 square port each OR having both subs in the same chamber (4^ft3) with 2 same sized ports. Basically, I have the size and dimensions of the box ready to draw up, but should I have a divider between the 2 subs in the box?

wondering how and if the BM would be a good choice to put in a HT setup? I am going to build a sub for my HT soon and am looking for a good woofer. I LOVE my mag, absolutely LOVE IT! and am anxious to get one of the new ones most likely. But lets hear it, would the BM do the job right for HT?

I am looking at the $25 TC9 motor, for those who do not know what I am talking about they can be found at caraudiojunkyard.com. There are 4 variations of the TC9 motor, which one is this? The only thing I know about them is that they are the ones with the 1" slugs. Is that the same motor that is used on the SS RL-P's? If not does anyone know of a sub that this model TC9 motor is used on? I am trying to figure out which one I am getting. If it is the model on the RL-P's then I might have to get some for sure.

I've been trying to figure out what to do with my 18 XXX. I finally decided on a 4-5 cube sealed box, depending on how large an area I can fit in my trunk, but the 4-5 cubes are the definite range. I was going to go just sealed, but love low end & was wondering if I could do passive radiators w/ the xxx. Corey don't kill me for makin this post, just figured it'd help! By the way, if any of you end up not liking me one bit, blame Corey A., he's the one who told me to come here. Anyway, thanks for any help or any insight in this idea.

I got this off of caraudio.com and I couldn't find anything close to all this news on the "official" SI site. I understand this may not even be the chosen driver, but this IS the driver I want, specifically the Shollower mounting depth (by a full inch!) and secondly but not as important - smaller, more specific enclosure requirements. If this ends up being the new Mag, it means I'll be getting this to stick in my Rav4, which my current Mag was supposed to go into be can't because of mounting depth issues. This also means I gotta say sorry to Fi and Soundsplinter because I think I'll stick with the Mag. Saying that though, This needs to be quoted: BTW, here's the car…

How u doing, im from Miami Fl and i have a single cab dodge ram 1500 with 3 15" kicker cvx subwoofer in a sealed box. All powerd by 3 1100 MONOBLOCK MEMPHIS amplifiers. I have 2 kinetic batterys and a 250 amp alternator. I hit around 152.4 db with about 1.8 cubes for each speaker. what setup do u suggest? Maybe going with 2 15" subs like the FI BL and making a ported bot with about 2.5 cubes per speaker? Will a ported box be effective with the little air space i have? basically what speaker will give me the most db's with the set up i have now? here is a pic of my set up. Thanks for the help

Check out these scores Held my 1st official ((((Propper Droppers)))) event this weekend. Sundays event went really well. Look at my results. Taken from my forum: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- :drummer: :earmuffs: I`m very happy with my SPL Testing results Couldn`t stop thinking about it on the way home - big grin on my face. :earmuffs: 1st to hit 150dB+ @ 20Hz in the U.K :earmuffs: I managed to change the speaker wire to 4x runs of 8gauge instead of the two bits of bell wire I was using. I think the tiny bit of extra effort & more wires did good... Mega Heavy Bass - Walled / Extreme Systems. 1: …

Hey all, I just put two DD 1508's ported in the back of my extended cab f150, and to be honest they sound like poo. They do get loud, but notes just run together, no definition. That being said I'm thinking about offloading them and trying two maw15's sealed. I'm curious if these are more of a SQ driver, for the price they are hard to say no to.

First off, I'd like to thank Nick Lemons of Stereo Integrity for giving me the opportunity to demo this driver. Having listened to the previous generation of BM's, I was curious as to what the new ones would do. Just to get it out of the way, I did this review for free, I'm not being given anything...the driver in question's going back to North Carolina as soon as I finish writing this First thoughts: When I received the BM, it was packaged in an almost identical fashion to my e12a.22 - a simple but effective cardboard frame, with the speaker itself wrapped in plastic. No damage was sustained in transit, it arrived perfectly. On first inspection, the biggest cosmetic dif…

I have seriously been thinking about doing a DIY comp set and I remember looking at these a while ago. Since you guys have infinite more knowledge than me , can you point me in the right direction as far as a good matching tweeter for it? Planning on going active with a Sundown 100.4, but im not sure what tweeter to match with it. I saw the review of it months ago on here and it looked solid for my needs, just wanted a few opinions. The tweeters I have heard before include the mainstream stuff (Infinity Reference, Pioneer, Kenwood, Polk Audio, Kicker, etc...) Im not looking for SPL, more like SQ but with good output, (have to be able to keep up with a pair of 15s Porte…

I'm trying to come up with a ported box using the http://www.reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html, for my MAW-12. I've come up with the following, just wondering if it's right. I've gone to a bunch of other design programmes but they seem to require metric conversions to be made or info I don't see on the specs for the sub. The measurements I've come up with are the following: Using 3/4 MDF, 24X15X15X15, Port 1.5x13.5, with this I come up with a tuned freq of 28.62 which is right around the specs of the MAW-12. Now, the box volume listed is 2.019 feet with this design, is this the net box volume including those 2 extra sheets used to create the port inside t…

After a year resisting, I finally gave up and got a 15" Magnum to run in my daily driver. Should have done it a long time ago, but you know how that can be. After the Magnums I've heard lately, I can't wait to get this put in this weekend and rocking in the Stratus. It's going in a little different box than most, so we'll see how it works out, but based on the specs, this flared slot chambered transmission line should work absolutely flawlessly, and be a low end monster while not giving up too much on the top end either. I'll have to ride up to Mooresville and let Nick check it out and tell me what he thinks once I get everything worked out, and I'm happy with the en…

Hi. I am new here, and somewhat new to the whole car audio thing. I just got a 2001 Pontiac Gand AM GT, and was wondering what kind of speakers (not subwoofers) would fit and sound nice in it. There is just one blown speaker (rear right), and I need it fixed soon so I can start installing my system. Any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Right now i have one 12 inch w6 off an alpine mrd 1005 with the settings set very low. I am thinking about either getting another w6 and running it off that amp or getting a single 12 or 15 inch Q or BL and pushing everything to them with that amp... orrrrr getting 2 12 inch Q's with another Amp. I really cannot decide. Would the 2 w6's have better SQ but less SP then the 2 12 Q's. Any opinions and experiences with these woofers would be great. Thanks

I was wondering if some of you could compare/contrast these subs for me. I'm looking for SQ. I want to go with 12's, and I would probly go w/ 1 Fi Q if I were to take Fi's route. For the TREO's, Im thinking about the 2 12's in the hotbox. Any help? Thanks.

Theres going to be a meet on october 21st and tommyk is bringing his TL. So ill have a chance to meter the MAW-15. I dont remember reading any scores from it, so im curious to see what it will do. Granted, its in a 3 cu. ft. box tuned to 28hz on about 800 watts, in a large car. So im not expecting anything great, but it does the job just fine for me. I know 2 MJ-18's got metered, but has anyone had the 15's metered on a daily setup?
