What is the actual amount of clean power you can send to one of the lvl 2 subs? I know the website states 300 but it even says that number is an under rated suggestion. Also how much do these subs go for? Thanks for the help.

I'm planning on buying a new system during winter for next summer and I wanted to go with 2 15" sub in a ported box. I know its a hard question to answer but how much power will I need to run them? I was looking at the RE SEX15D4 but I havent made up my mind on them 100% yet. But in general how much power would be nneded to run dual 15"? Should I go with 1 amp for both or 1 amp per sub?

Anyone know anything about these subs? Someone I know suggested these over the IDQV312's. Looking for a good sound quality sub. Going to put 2 in a sealed box in the trunk of a small 4 dr sedan. Was pretty set on the IDQ's but then these were brought to my attention. Parts-Express.com:

i havent been able to find out a measurement on how deep a xcon 18 drops down into an enclosure. the enclosure would have the sub facing up, so i need to find out the length of the sub to help determine how tall the box would need to be. any help would be appreciated.

  9. I blew one of my focal tweeters when my amp popped/blew and need to find a replacement. I really like the inverted dome TNB tweeter that came with my 165VR's much smoother and not harsh like all of Focal's other tweeters I am just replacing them I don't want component tweeters I don't want harsh tweets can't handle the piercing highs. What do I get to replace it/them. Going in an Escalade not stock location I believe they will have to be 45mm tweeters I really don't want to redrill. Not too expensive less than 100$ preferably 130$ max. Thanks for your help

Looking for a 10" DVC 4ohm.The box has .75 cu ft and a mounting depth of around 8". Space is very limited and I can't get a bigger box unless I want to take up the whole rear, which I don't want to do. Everybody has Alpine Type-R subs around here and I would like to not go that route.I'm sure that their are some brands I'm not aware of that you guys do. I would say around $150 for the sub. Got 600rms @ 2ohm to give it.

Can anyone recommend some 6.5" components for $200? I need to hurry up and order some before Christmas... The doors are not deadened but the MIGHT be some distant time down the road... I will also get an amp to properly power them... Also, would like to stay away from metal tweets... Will be getting subs in the future... EDIT: When did the shop start selling Diamond Audio? I thought there were no authorized internet dealers? Or did they just get their hands on some so they started selling them? I have been looking at the D661s component set by diamond...

  15. Hey there, I posted a topic earlier about my 68 Camaro: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=10357 I decided to build a new sub box, ported, to try and up my bass. Next I want to replace my current speakers, they aren't the best. I am trying to keep my budget around $600-700. I went to the local Car Phonics and they suggested this setup, and quoted me $692 (including install). However, I found the same speakers on ebay for under $300 (for both) and would be perfectly comfortable installing them myself. http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_components.php?comp_id=61 http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_compone...php?comp_id=129 Is this a good setup for my car?…

I have Soundsplinter 15 in a 2.0 cu ft box. I would like to go to SI MAg 12. I would like to have output similar to a 15 so I want to go ported. How much SQ do u really lose. It goes in the trunk of Grand prix. I listen to some rap, but also some metal, reggae, and even techno. If u seal a Magnum do u hinder some of its marvelous attributes. I will be running Old School Orion( Pre DEI disaster) XTR Pro 1000

So I have a JL Audio 10W3v3-2 and it was making a weird scratching noise. Completely random, would happen at any volume and would come and go with no real reason, sometimes it wouldn't do it for days, sometimes it would happen many times a day. I took it out of the box looking for some explanation and could see nothing, so it cut it open. The only thing that looked a little off was what looked like some corrosion on the coil itself. So now I have the motor and basket just laying around and it seems a shame to just toss it. Does anyone make a recone other than JL that will work??

i am in the market to buy a whole new setup for my car. i have no knowledge of any good component systems and i really need to be pointed in the right direction. my car takes 5x7's in the front and 6x9's in the back. in the rear i will be using 6x9's but in the front i want to run something other then a 5x7. maybe a mid driver. i want to stay with a component in the front but can u match components with mids? or r they the same. i have been looking at boston acoustic for the speakers and maybe a sundown 100.4 to power them. maybe an mtx amp. i am willing to spend around 800 for the entire setup. any suggestions on other manufacturers?

Do you guys considered the new 2011 RF P2D4 15" an overall better sub than the RE SRX 15" sub? The SRX has more linear excursion 18mm vs 12. I cannot find the Mms of either sub. The Bl of the SRX is 14 vs unknow. SPL is 87db for the SRX vs 86db. The Sd is 810 vs 894. My concern is that a sub with that much Xmax(RE) could sound louder than a sub with just 12mm but with almost 900 of Sd?? Also, the cone material of the subs: RE is Kraft pulp and the RF is Kevlar. If Kevlar is a bullet proof material is going to be a lil heavy than Kraft pulp, right? Thas why the RF Xmax is only 12mm?? It seems to me that the RF guys put a lot of technology in their new subs. The RE seems to…
