My buddy Brandon got a pair of D2 15s installed yesterday. This morning he wired up his MA Audio MA5082HX amp up to them -- their 4000-watt Class A/B amp from two model years ago. 2 ohms is not the optimal load for the amp, but no matter... with -32dB earplugs in my ears are still tingling. We drove up to a local stereo shop to use their meter, which is horribly uncalibrated so don't use these numbers to compare to anything... his car pulled a 148 dB score. Get this... the shop has a van with no less than 28 Memphis Depth Charge 10" subs in a wall and a Memphis MOJO amp and that only pulls a 152 dB score. So 4 dB off 28 10s with a pair of 15s in a stock Explorer , no wall…

I was on sounddomain.com reading a thread on the XXX subwoofers and how people were building these snail shell boxes for them. They were saying how the sub got crazy loud and its the best ever. Has anyone here put their sub in a snail shell and listened to how it sounded? Anyone got plans so I can try this?

Hello guys, first thread on here Was just wondering, how do you think a D2 will take 2500wrms, on a daily BASSis, i.e streetbass, daily listening, i can't see it being a problem just playing music nicely, but what about when i crank it ? The whole system will be scoped, so it will be getting a purely clean signal, will be ported, about 4cuft, then port displacement, so say even 3 cuft ? I have seen this thing take 1700wrm quite nicely, but what about over quite a period of time ? i mean i know how to treat a sub, i know how they work and how to set a system up. So what you recon ? Go for it ? Also, can they be reconed ? or will i have to buy a new one ? Thanks in advance…

Your subs used to be like 3xx shipped, the website says 5xx shipped. When did that happen? Are the new mags going to be towards that 5xx or 3xx? -Alex

Special thanks to Ryan for the box! I still have a lot of work to do. But so far I have one mag 12 in and am giving it about 400rms at 4 ohms. I will eventually have 2 12's with 1000rms going to each of them. I have a US Amps MD2 to power the subs. Here are some pictures for you all to see. Here is the Pioneer HU I recently installed. I will be getting the deh-880prs and putting that in as well. And here are some pictures of the car in case you are wondering what it looks like. And yes, the steering wheel is upside down and it drives me crazy everytime I look at that picture. I will keep everyone updated on my progress. Ben

Just when I think I found a sub...people throw new subs in my face. I'm considering the Mag D2, RL-P, and A/D/S 312rs/4. I know they're all great subs. But which would be best for me? This is what I posted in my Newbie Sign IN thread: I listen to metal, rap, hard rock, alternative, trance(mostly progressive), r&b. SQ matters a lot to me...but I'm a basshead and want to be able to feel the bass pounding in my lungs when I want. Whenever I look at a sub I make sure it can hit atleast 20Hz if not 16 Hz. But it looks like I will have to compromise in car audio as those subs usually need a much bigger box than the 2 cu ft that I want to limit my box to. So I would like …

Ok so lets say I could get a SI MAG 12" for about $350. At the same time, I could be getting a RE SX 15" for $250. I am looking for LSQ and hear they both sound good. How much better SQ would the Mag have? How much better SPL would the SX have? Which is the best bang for the buck?

I will be updating the web page shortly to link all pricing inquiries through www.showrides.net soon. I have been talking with Ben at Show Rides for about two months now and they have officially signed up as our first dealer. Right now Show Rides' web page isn't up to full-tilt and that is partially because we have been lazy and haven't sent them more pictures and/or information. Hopefully within a week everything will up and running.

Our newly designed web page is now up!! Many thanks to Cliff, "the abunai", for putting it all together for us. As many of you are thinking, the Mag, BM, and Home Theater pages are going to be updated shortly. But anyway, I love the new web page. Let me know what you think.
