please someone tell me so i can tell my friend alpine Type R is not the best thing around!!! he said he hear 2 12s ported runing off the 1000rms alpine amp. srry forgot the model #. a list of sub(s) that can beat them in sq and spl in the same price range would shut him up or atleast change his mind alittle....

Need to find a set of 12 that have the same sound performance of a Kicker L7 and about the same price +/- 50 dollars. Cant do PowerBase because the shop where I live drop their line. Most of the music I listen to is Screw and chopped and no Mike Jones!

Does this seem like overkill or could it lead to some pretty decent mids and highs?

Other than the space it would take up. Would the sound be different in a box thats 2.5 (per sub) @ 32h vs. 3.5(per sub) @ 32hz?? Same power, same subs, same everything. Thx

As I got my mag from when the new batch just came out and my sub is logoless (No it was not stolen, Nick already knows I have it) what do the new mags with a logo look like? I went to the sticker shop and got a logo made for mine saying SI MAG but I want to see the official thing?

hey guys i need some help on getting a box for my mag. i have had the mag for about 2 months just sitting in my room.(iv been very lazy )so can any one help me or direct me to a site were i can get a box for it. i been doin some searching my self but all boxes have a 11 1/16 cut out cant seem to find the right measure ment. thanks

I would like to purchase (2) Digital Designs 9512g's. The local dealers here do not carry DD and I cannot find anywhere online to purchase these subs. Would someone please point me in the right direction?

both dual 2ohm running at 1ohm. My question, which would be better for numbers. The 9512 in a 2.75cuft box tuned to 37hertz or a 9515 in a 3cuft tuned to 37hertz. My amp is a sundown 2000d. As of right now, my suv peaks at 50hertz with now deadening.

I was thinking about putting three 10" subs in my '91 Vette, so I posted an earlier thread asking for suggestions and a few people suggested that I run just one 12" sub instead. Personally, I think three 10's would fit nicely, sound better and get louder than just one 12, but I'd like to know what everyone else thinks about it. The maximum dimentions I have to work with are 34" x 12 1/2" x 18". Thanks for any input.

I have had an old SX laying around for a couple years and finally sold it (with box and amp) to my brother for $200. He was getting it installed today and the guy installing it said one of the VC was reading 0 ohm. I havent been involved with car audio for probably 10years and forgot what little I used to know. Can I fix this or is it now a paperweight? Maybe I am hanging onto nostalgia, but IIRC Resonant Engineering was respected for quality and value before the buyout by US Amps when prices shot up. Ok so right now I have 2 12s underneath the seat in my 03 ext cab silverado. It bumps pretty damn good. The amp is a RF power800a2 and the 2 subs are mixed 1 is a 4-5yr old RF punch HX2 and the other is a 1yr old eclipse sw7200. Im wanting to switch out to something else. Ive been looking at the FIs and the REs. Itll have to be a sealed box since Im limited to space. What do you guys suggest I get? Should it be one of those 2 or something else? I do later on planning on upgrading the amp to something that puts out about 600-700w rms to each channel The other 2 subs I was thinking of were maybe some RF T1s or kicker L7s

Hello, I am somewhat new here and just purchased yesterday a pair of MJ18's. Gentleman had four of them in a wall behind the second seat in an Astro van and they sounded wonderful. I am going for a SQ setup and I am going to be doing this in a Dodge ram crew cab. My question is, would you put one really good set of components up front and leave the rears stock or would you put a good set of components up front and a good set of coaxials in the rear? The price would be pretty much the same. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am new to the forum. I am looking at the 12"Magnum. Currently I have a PG t1200.1 and a t500.2 for my front stage. I am considering downgrading to a second 500.2. Would the Magnum do well with only 500 or so watts? Or should I just keep the big amp. I don't really need tons of output, just loud good sounding music. Also, what would the best cu ft be for a box for a single 12" Magnum? I have done some searching but didn't really find an exact answer. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim

I have been reading and I haven't found a post that is exactly what I'm looking for. I have just been introduced to all these different sub woofer lines that I have never heard or seen before. And I need some opinions from people who have had experience with any woofers. I'm looking for a single setup with no more than 1500 watts. I wont say that I want sound quality since everyone has a their own definition of quality. I am looking for a very deep bass. The kind that you feel. I don't like punchy bass. Very smooth transient response is what I look for the most. And most important is a very crisp sound. I don't know if any of these wants can all be achieved at the same ti…
