Subwoofers / Speakers

I dont know how comparable these drivers are but if you had the choice what would you pick and why. What is the SQ like, how loud, how low all of those good things. It would be on 1000RMS.

Hey guys im kinda new to the audio world and i am disappointed in the system i got now (two 12's 600rms each) so im looking for somthing a little bigger, I got two Kenwood KAC-9105D amps, i was wondering if i could strap them together for the 1800 rms roughly and get the 15" SSA XCON D2 (1750rms) if the wiring capabilities were there and if not anyother options that would hit n use the amps well -Thanks

I see the recommending tuning is from 27-33hz. How do those number compare? Is 27hz going to loose a lot of top end compared to 33hz? Does tuning on the lower end of the range actually gain a noticeable amount of deep bass production>

Alpine CDA-9886 Big 3 0 gaude kicker hyperflex EA H/O alternator 200 amps 0 gauge run (sub) 4 gauge run (mids and highs amp) stock battery up front 2 Deka 9A31 in trunk Sub amp is a GP 3000D My sub are Fi Bl 12'' Sub box is Fishercustom slot port 4 cu. @ 32hz sub box max. that will fit in my trunk. 38w 14h 22d in. any recomondations for a ccomponent(2way) set/ amp combo for around $400. I was thinking sax100.2 but dont know what to do for component set.

i got 2 12's with a pg tantrum 1200.1 to power them. i'm running them sealed and would like to go to ported. i want to go for LSQ but a little more on the spl side. i totally suck at designing ports. if someone can come up with some measurements or a design i would really really really appreciate it.

Found a helluva deal on ScanSpeak D2904/6000-01. Check out their prices at Madisound then go to www.pacparts.com. Click on Consumer Electronics and do a parts search for Alpine Model Number SPXF17T. It will pull up a page with all the parts associated with the sets and you will see the part number D2904/600001. It is the raw tweeter of the set sourced from ScanSpeak and guess which model they picked? It is the same exact specs wise. Since I have a son my girl wants a car seat in both cars I have to take the 15s out the back seat and I won't be able to do my dp21 I'm thinking about 3 10s facing into the car and porting the back deck. I'm about to pick up a crunch 3000d and its going into a 02 Pontiac sunfire. Hi everyone. I currently have two 12 mags in a sealed box, but I wanted to try ported just for fun. My friend is selling a 3.6 cf box tuned to 30 hz without any chambers for cheap. IS this bad for a pair of magnums, or does it sound reasonable? I know that the only way to find out is to actually hook it up and listen to it, but I just want some opinions before I actually buy the box. I'm just looking to hear what other people's preferences are about full range / component speakers. My system is getting installed next week and after MAJOR hassles trying to get Memphis to send the right speakers and amps I'm going with all Infinity (a mix of components, full ranges, and an amp. With 2 15" LIs and cadence amp for bass). I've had Infinity speakers before and liked them quite well for the price, but I hear lots of people say they are too loud on the highs and have no midbass (with a definition of midbass being below 100hz). I already have one rl-i8 soundsplinter but i worried that I won't get enough out of it (not in car yet) so ive been lookin at porting it I can't go any bigger then 1 cube after port. it will get 400watts. I would just get one more and do two sealed but I can't afford another one.
