Subwoofers / Speakers

I have a pair of BL 15 1ohm subs. I wanted to keep the subs at 1 ohm. So I should wire them on one side of the coil - to + then connect the + on one sub to the + on the other sub. Then the - on 1 side to the negative on the other side. then a + and a - out to the amp. But instead of the - to the + on the same side I have the - on one coil going to the + on the the other coil. Does it matter?

How do these compare to a kicker 12" cvr? I am looking at getting a sundown sae-1200d to drive 2 12" dc level 3s. Currently I am running a kicker zx400.1 driving a 12" kicker cvr.

i stopped at an audio shop ive gave a lot of business to and saw where they are now carrying dd and ia. he said he had a 12" ia lethal injection they used for 3 burps and said he would take 200 for it. im thinking i should give it a shot . . . any suggestions?

I havent seen a lot about this sub on any forums, or anyone selling them. i found one local BNIB and thinking about buying it. The few people that have em love em, and they look pretty beefy. what do you guys think about the Crossfire XSv2s?

Had two ppl order DC lvl4xl15s d2 and they where both coming from Mojo 15s. I did and Audiopipe 1800D on one DC in a CRX and they guy sad it was way louder that the mojo on his Kole amp. Cool all is right with the world... btw he has the big 3, double 1/0 and an extra batt. My other customer has a '94 Buick Park Ave with a 2610D from Hifonics. ALso with extra batt, big three, and 1/0 power and ground front to back. I have built this guy 5 boxes in the past 6 months(he's indecisive and we are both ok with this) and he is claiming the mojo is louder across the board. TS-W2504SPL and Fi SSD 10" how do these two subs compare? if you only have exp. with one of them put your 2 cents in.

I currently have 2 Sundown E-12s in the Trunk (Dual 4ohm) wired down to 1ohm on the amplifier. (1700rms at 1ohm) I am going to pick up my old Kicker CVR10s (Dual 2ohm) and put them in my backseats... Is there ANY way I can hook up the 2 10s to the amplifier for added bass? It would only be for a day or so, but just for fun. I just want to know how I should wire the 2 10s to get the most out of my amp. Thank you!

How will a Q do in an IB setup? I will be upgrading to 15's most likely, should I stick with the Q's or would something else perform better for all out SQ? Price is not a huge issue.

Going to run Kicker subs the 6.5 and 6x9 Im not sure to go with ? The two that I am looking at is the Kicker K693 (6x9) and the K65 (6.5) and the other is the Alpine SPR-694A (6x9) and SPR 174 (6.5) and they will be run off a amp.

I am planning a new build and I want to run an active 3-way set up. I'm new to the whole active thing but have been told by more than a few people that building my own 3-way is the way to go. My available power is 50x2 rms for the tweeters 100x2 rms for the mids 200x2 rms for the midbass I am at a loss when it comes to choosing raw drivers. Any recomendations? Also will the fact that my amps are not made by the same manufacturer affect the sound?Or would I have to be superman to hear a difference?

just a feeler to see which would sound better and best output. both in ported box, which would you guys choose. 1 15" xcon or 2 12" IA lethal injections . 1300 or so wts. rap and classic rock music

I ask because I had messed a little with the older SPL's and the Mules, I have not heard the SPLX, also I am not sure where in their line up it is placed and if it was designed before or after the power acoustic buy out or if was developed by the remaining old SoundStream guys ? here is a picture of it: B)

I got a sa-8 sub, and the box i haveis made of that * now my question is this ---How far should the distance be from the back of the sub to the front of the port, the sub is 5 1/4 deep and from the back side of the front to the front side of the port i have 5 9/16 -- is 5/16 of a inch enough room for air movment or what should i do the spec is from ssa so Im thinking they know what is best.just asking

Friend of mine gave me 2 locked up 9515's to pay off a $250 debt he owed me. I ordered 2 recone kits as my friend says he could rebuild them. I gave them to hit, he reconed them, and they play. Well, one speaker makes a crackling noise at low volumes through it's whole range. At low volumes I can only hear it on very low notes and at higher notes. Did he do a poor job at reconing it? Is it something I did? Are the magnets misaligned? The other speaker is barely audible, I'm thinking that one might be a wiring issue. Any other info needed, just let me know.

Would it be ok to temporarily run my bl 15 (dual 2) on one voice coil at 2 ohms from a kicker 300.1 until i get my t10001bd. or will this blow the sub from lack of power.

Really would like a pair of IXL 10s but I'm not liking the D2 coils. Any chance of some D1 or D4s? Sure would make running a pair on the likes of a 1500D more enjoyable. I'm sure they don't need 750 each, but the headroom would be nice.

I have a ssa 15" xcon in a 4.0CF box tuned to 29hz in the back of my wagon. Its hooked up to a hifonics 1610d amp which is rated at 1600rms at 1-ohm at 14.4v. I want any advice for adjusting this so my sub stops bottoming out on deep songs like bass i love you. I have tried the sub-bass filter but if i turn it up anymore those deep songs lose the deep bass that it can hit fine without bottoming out. its those notes below 25hz that bottom it out, but the sub-bass filter only has a 12db slope and it lets to much in. So what do I do? I don't want to wreck my xcon.

Alright, as the topic says, I'm looking for a component set for my Thunderbird. I currently have a pair of Infinity Kappa coaxial speakers in it. They are 6x8 and that is what my bird is designed for. I'm looking to spend no more that $250 on a set. They will be powered by a RF P400.4 amp. I hooked up a meter to the coils of this sub and it reads 1.9 on both sides.. On the meter there is an Ohm section and its set at 200.. The picture is kinda blurry but you can get a good view on where its set at.. Can someone help me out on what coil configuration this sub is.. Its dual 2 ohm right? Heres the pics..

Anyhow, I currently have the following: 1 12" JL 12w3v2-d4 1 12" Alpine Swr-1242D 1 Kenwood KAC-7202 At this time, I love having both subs but can only hook one up at a time. I drive a GrandAm, and its a pain in the ass to try to fix any boxes between the wheel-wells. Ive only had success with one box so far, and that was the ThunderTC enclosure I had for my 5500's before I sold them. I have two seperate sealed boxes for each, and want to try to place them in both corners of my trunk, but wire them to the sub to provide the most bass possible.
