I just bought a set of Bravox CS-60K 6.5's new off of Ebay and was wondering if anybody has any experience with this component set. I got them for a lot less than the new set goes for so I figure it couldt hurt to give them a try.

  3. I made a box and it ended up being only 3.5cuft... so i can either just seal it and the sub would fit just fine... but i would much rather ported because my experience it is much louder... but if i went ported the port would be 18.125" x 2.25" and the box would only be about 2.5 cuft... tuned around 32.. so i went through 2 sheets of mdf to look at it and say that its too small.... any suggestions? Should i just seal it and wait till i feel up to getting another sheet of mdf to make a ported? Because i have it so close to being ported... like face is cut and everything... it will be much easier to make it ported.. but idk... i need help.

ok ive got a rf t10001bd that does 1633 watts rms at 1 oh and 1110 at 2 ohm. i also have a 2.5 cubic ft per side ported box tuned to 35-38 hz. the subs i have now are rf's t112d4. one of them blew for supposively no aparent reason at all so i replaced it. now the other one blew and yet again no reason. so i was thinking of switching brands. i have heard about the fi's, and just wondering what ones to really look at. i was thinkin the bl or the q series. im mostly spl but want it to sound good too. and if i do end up getting some, what ohm load should i get? and how would i wire them to 1ohm or above? Thanks.

Have any of you guys heard them? How do they sound in terms of SQ or are they just geared towards getting loud? I read some reviews but they were from ppl that are running them. I wanted to get a larger unbias populations opinion. Thanks

at the moment i have 2 orion xtr pro 12s in 2001 chevy 1500 Z71 in a front-fire truck box with only a 800 watt amp running both. it was my first car audio system. i am selling my subs and amp to my cousin and now i want to upgrade my system. ive been looking at Fi and just wonder what you guys think about putting 2 Fi Q 12s in that box (its sealed). ive never actually head Fi in person but from what ive read on here they seem really good . i know one will probably be enough but the box is designed for two subs so im gonna put two back in it. also what may be a better choice for the amp as well? thanks, dave

Assuming Both were ran in optimum ported enclosures, running off a SAZ-1500d @1ohms (i know way too much power, gain would be set correctly don't worry), which would you choose and why? Looking for more SPL than SQ, and this will be a daily beater setup. I'm looking between the upcoming sa-15 and 15" SSD w/BP power, I understand the sa-15 isn't out yet, but judging by the specs which would you prefer? Obviously the SSD is rated at 800rms vs 600rms for the SA, but it seems like the Sundown is very underrated... I think it would run at 800rms fine. So far the differences I can find is the 2.5"(SA) coil vs. 3"(SSD), the SSD has a slightly lower FS (29.6 vs 30.9) as well as …

  14. So a friend decided to go ahead and buy the same sub I have. With me being the loudest in the area he is now the loudest since his is in a hatchback while mine is in an SUV. My question is what upgrade should I go for? With 40 inches wide and 25 deep for the top, 6 12s would be difficult to fit unless I angled the top baffle. I also couldn't do more than three 15s unless, again, the top is angled. A second 18 would be doable but I want opinions on which would sound louder. The plan is a wall behind the C pillar, behind the second row. It's all just planning now, however.

I need a box for a Fi BL 12 sub woofer I would rather buy one unless it exceeds around $150. I would like it to be ported but I'm not sure if it will fit in my truck. I have a 2000 ford ranger XLT and I want to keep one back seat so it can't be to big. Any suggestions on pre-made boxes or if it's truly worth it, where can I learn how to build a perftect box for the BL 12.

SPL Tuning In most vehicles resonant frequencies have little effect. It tends to be the general transfer function which dominates. Your best bet is to try to map this by measuring the response of a box in and out of the car on a meter. Getting 8-10 dB extra isn't easy, and without a meter it would be very difficult indeed as testing can't be done as effectively. If you can find the right note to play with the current setup (I'm assuming you're not sure of this at the moment) you can typically gain about 2dB, it can be frightening how fast it drops off from the peak value in some cases. With your current box, if possible experiment with aiming it in different directions at…

  20. these vids are terrible. if ure not into watching very bad speaker vids, then do not watch these please. it was just something to do. my camera is terrible ( operator error, thanks Raven ) it is NOT loud like this camera makes it seem... but considering it is an IB3 18 in a box off a $40 walmart surround sound in a box receiver, it's amazing. the sound is distorted and loud so turn your volume down! This one was supposed to show the drastic difference when I get into Listening Position #1 and 2 vs the center of the room...didn't work out that way, camera just distorts it all at 2:08 you can see the Walmart recveiver LOL then right after Bass I Love You actually gets t…

The box will be between 4.6-5 ft^3 @ 30-33 hz, it will include 2-12" subwoofers (subs up, port in front) powered by a Sundown Saz-2000d. Big Three already done, battery upgrades coming soon and it will be going in the trunk of a Saturn Ion-2003. Which subs should I choose, price is not an option but listed in least expensive on up(if you suggest a sub thats not on the list thats fine, all input is greatly appreciated): SSA Icon $275.00 Sound Splinter RL-P $295.00 Incriminator Audio Death Row $319.00

Hi I am running two Zed audio Miniliths to one level 3 12 with the spl coils. I thought it would maybe be too much power but they take it very well. I have the sub woofer in a very small sealed box and it still hits very well and the frequencies are very pronounced. I would almost be willing to say it sound like 2 12s but it is not that loud. The cone has some awesome xmax

well i still havnt decided on what i want to get in my truck. i drive a 03 toyota tundra access cab and will be removing the back seat for the box. i plan on doing the big 3 and getting a kinetic battery to help the electrical. as far as music, i listen to everything so i want the sub to sound well and i want it to be loud. something that can play all ranges of bass and be loud, not only certain spots. sorry if i dont make sense i dont know how to word what im thinking. i was thinking of a single 15" and saw the ssa 15" xcon. would this be what i am looking for?

I have made up my mind that i want to run 2000wrms, but I can't decide is whether on 2 15's or just one 18. I feel the two 15's will just be too much and the one 18 will do what I want it to. I want it to be at least semi-musical, but kill the lows. Nothing too loud, just something louder than my two type r 12's that we shoved in my friend's camaro (build log coming) This is a daily driver setup. Nothing extreme, just an enthusiast.
