Subwoofers / Speakers

My jeep has 6x9 in the front and 6.5 in the back. Thy are the infinity gold system that came with the jeep. I just purchased a pair of ID ctx65cs speakers and am stuck on what I should do. My options are as follows 1. Put ID component set in back and replace front 6x9 with ID ctx69. Buy a 4 channel amps to run all 4 2. Buy another set of ctx65cs and run them in front and back off a 4 channel amp 3. Put ctx65cs in front and run off a 2 channel amp(100rms x2). Run the stock rear speakers off of the head unit. I have a 15" Brahma MKIV I bought about a year ago and don't have a spec sheet anymore. Does anyone have the specs for this driver? It's a dual 2 ohm. Thanks.

when you use poly fill in a box should u get the mat style or the just the plain loose poly fill? i read that the loose stuff can get up in the motor and damage it...

i just had my xcon 18 installed being pushed by a aq 2200d in a 5 cubic box and its loud. well im looking to buy 2 12inch 2011 icons in a ported box what will be the sound diffrence such as hitting lows an what not thanks for any help

Dont know much about the Incriminator Audio Lethal Injection 12 subwoofers. Just want to know are they a SQ or a SPL type of sub and is it a everyday driver?

For my summer rebuild I'm considering doing either 2x the new Sundown X-12's or some Fi BL's but I'd like some opinions on the BL beforehand. The main thing I'm concerned about is that they'll be too peaky, I ran a pair of them through WinISD in 4 cubes tuned to 32hz and it showed them EXTREMELY peaky and that is not what I want. So anyone that has heard or used these please give some input.

Hey guys! was just browsing around and am sorta of scouting out some new 6.5 components to use in my car. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3742_-...ns+CD60.4C.html what do you guys think of those? I haven't heard them or anything, but im just looking for like a sort of your input. Their aren't many "variations" of speakers around here for met o listen to. so i'm looking for your input on these and if u think they're even worth considering. maybe I can track down a set to listen to. lemme know! and if not and have another set in your head, id love to hear suggestions!

I've given serious consideration to selling my D2 12 and purchasing a 15. At the moment, however, I would only be able to throw 460 watts rms at the thing. My 12 in a 2 cube box at 28 hz gets louder than I ever need it to with that many watts but will the 15 respond the similarly? I do plan on upgrading to a 1000 watt amp sometime in the future but it wouldn't be for at least another couple of months. I would probably put the 15 in a 2 -2.5 cubic ft sealed box, but space really isn't an issue. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Mike

For subs right now I plan on walling my suv to the front seats and am putting in 4 18" Xcons. I want my front stage to play as loud as possible without breaking my budget of 5-600 dollars. so i just got my sundown saz1500d. in the coming weeks im going to rewire the car and grab a new sub(s). the ixl 15 looks like the best sub for the price out there, only problem is: i have about 14" of height to work with for my enclosure. however i have 36"w and 18-20"d. how would the ixl perform top firing side port in a 95 accord cpe trunk?

Friend is looking to buy a sub to put in the back of his Chevy Tracker, with a buget of $100. His goals are strictly output. He wants it loud... He has no idea what SQ is, so that's not an issue. He had 4 12" Wal-Mart Duals at one point and swore they were the best sounding things on the market. He listens to nothing but rap. I will be building the box, tuned to ~33hz for his musical taste. I'm not exactly sure the max volume I can get away with back there, but I know it's not much. I'm guessing a 12 will be the biggest we can go and still remain in optimal specs. He has a 600 watt amp to push whatever he buys @ 2 ohms, or 4 ohms bridged. What are suggestions as to what …

i was searching around and i ran across the mag i heard it get loud sound good and only need less than 2 cubic ported so now i can have my four 15's:D now i guess i can have my cake and eat it too lol....anyone have any experience with the older versions?

Okay I just installed a pair of 12s in a ported inclosure and I get this popping sound coming from the sub. Today I was sitting there looking at them trying to figure out what was happening when the sun got down low enough and shone on the face of the sub, it was then that I saw the face of the sub pop out in the top corner, It just made a little bubble and created the popping noise. Has anyone ever seen this?????????????????

ok guys i am currently running an active frontstage setup with 2 mli 6.5" and 2 infinity 1" dome tweets. it is decent but when i turn on some hard deep bass they cant keep up with the btl the bass drowns out the music part of the song and not so much the words i am starting to build my next project for 2 18" btls so what i am looking for is some ideas for my current setup and my future setup with 2 BTLS i am runnind a sax-100.4 amp for the current active setup there really is no budget atm money is ok right now i just really want the music and vocals to come in real clean when i want to show off the BTL and full tilt thanks an advance guys. again i apprecheate all your g…
