I have a few morel 378s. While they sound very nice, flat, loud, and can be crossed over quite low, they don't have the high end extension and sharpness that I have come to like. I tried out the ft1s which are quite the opposite in sound to the 378s. They do have the high end extension and sharpness, but are definitely lacking highly in the lower end and are also a little peaky. I've looked around at pro audio to home audio, super tweeter to regular tweeter, but have not found a hard dome tweeter that has relatively flat response, around 100-200w rms, 90-100db sensitivity, 4-8ohm. In need of a Single 12" or 15" Dual 2ohm The amp that will be used is the Rockford Fosgate T5001bd (500x1 at 1ohm) but the birthsheet says 1000+ at 1ohm.(don"t remember exact but it over 1000 watt) Going for (LSQ) not sure on price but nothing to crazy Give some ideas please it will be a big help. One Mag 12 or Mag 15? i can't decide, i want SQ and not something too crazy but since this is a demo i'd like to have alittle show. Also what is the depth of the sub? Is the Mag 15 8in deep? or is that the 12?

I purchased a pair back in '08 and used them for about 6 months or so and then took the box out of under my seat to make room for a hunting trip and never put it back. Going to sell them but can not remember nor find the specs on them. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

I just recently found out about these and I currently have DLS UP6i's in my 06 trailblazer. Would there be any advantage getting the AA Carbon's over the UP's? I would like a mid that does play better in the 50hz range. It might be just me or even the install, but I find the UP's to be a bit muddy when played loud. Would it be OK, to just swap the DLS's with the Carbon's? I have the doors deadened fairly well also Overall, my main goal is to have the mid dig a little deeper, and be a little cleaner when the volume is turned up. Thanks for any suggestions.

I have a Toyota Tundra Regular cab with a sealed 12" Kicker 06TCVT122 400RMS at 2ohms powered by a Kicker ZX400.1 and was looking upgrading to a 15" AA Havoc in a 3.5cuft ported box @ 30hz with either a Sundown Audio 1500D or 1000D. Heres some pics of my available space LxW 60"x18" However, do to my limited space I don't think thats possible so I was also thinking of getting the 15 in a sealed box or two 12 sealed, what do you guys think?

I am thinking about getting an AA Mayhem 15 or an AA Havoc 18. I am kinda leaning towards the Havoc but idk if my amp will be too powerful for it. Hifonics BRZ2400.1D 2400W at 1 ohm; 1700W at 2 ohms. Will either of these be too much power for the sub? If either of these numbers are good for the havoc for daily use, I think I will get the Havoc. But, if not, Mayhem it is.

Anyone know pricing on a d2 aa havoc 15 recone?

Okay first of all please don't ask if i have electrical upgrades because yes i do. i Just want some opinions on subs and an amp to push them.. I'm either thinking of 2 15" SSA XCONS or 3-4 12" AA havocs. Probably 4. The xcons will be powered by a saz-3500d in AROUND 6 cubes ported tuned to around 28hz and the havocs 3 would be saz-3500d about 6 cubes ported tuned 28hz or 4 would be by a saz-4500d 8 cubes ported maybe 26hz .. I want an ""SQL"" setup.. i know either are going to be extremely loud as well.. After waiting a month and a half after placing my order I finally received my AA mayhem. I will be putting it on a soundqubed 750.1 because I dont plan on upgrading my electrical for a little while. I am currently running 2 aq sdc2.0 and they do slam for what they are. As for the box, It is in 2.5 cu tuned to 32hz with a 4" aeroport. Immediately I noticed the packaging is very well done, and I give huge props to SSA for that aspect. I will most likely give a review for the mayhem once I get my box. Anyways here are some pics

7" dayton vs. 6.5" AA poly midbass i was reading some posts and it seems like many people have tried the AA and i was wondering if anybody has used both and could give a comparison. i am looking for something to run as dedicated midbass in a 3way frontstage. both would be run off a PPI DCX600.4 so 75watts to each side. the will be used with 4" focal polyglass comps.

After all specs and pricing is weighed, what would be the better route? Amp would be a stetsom 4k2d or saz 3500d. Biggest enclosure I could do is 4.2 cubes before displacements. I will use two 4" x 17" aeroports (double flare). Thanks

So my 2 mags are finally installed, but they don't sound right at all. And it's bc I'm an idiot. :thud: I think the gains are too low, but I need to know what the gain knob is on a tantrum 1200.1. Is it the sensitivity knob? And does the gain go higher as you turn it from .2 to 4. It is on .2 now, and it sounds terrible, like everything is just rumbling together. The kick drums don't sound right at all. I don't hear a distinct punch for each kick. I know it has something to do with the amp settings, bc these are magnums we are talking about. Also, I was driving around last night, and my lights didn't dim or blink at all, so that may be indication that the gains …

Simple question; without breaking the bank on super high power mids and highs, would front speakers mounted in door (one pair only) be able to keep up with a 4- 15's wall? Wall is on 2k rms, Kicker CVX's. My friend doesn't want to build pods, and I can't tell him my opinion, being a state away. I think his budget for a pair is $400. I'm pretty sure he just doesn't want to put in the work building them lol.

Well i am fixing to give you guys a try out. I will be walling off a 93 Geo Prizm with 2 lvl 5 18's and 2 sundown 3000's. thought id post this here as i will have the car at the builders house maybe next week. Any advice on the LVL 5's. i plan to tune between 32-35hz!
