Subwoofers / Speakers

I'm thinking about either purchasing 2 12" SSA Gcons, or 1 15" Fi Bl fully loaded, I want deep loud bass, whichever I choose will be going in an s10 extended cab, which should I go with, either will be in a ported enclosure. Thanks.

I recently acquired a 15 inch MTX Terminator, all I need is wiring and an amplifier but I don't know how strong of an amplifier I need because of how old the sub is. Can anyone help me out? I really don't know much about sub/amp combinations. A picture of it http://imgur.com/a/qeulw

i was thinking about getting a 18inch btl, i do not plan on entering competitions i just simply would like to have a system that hits hard (really hard), sounds good, and lasts a long time. i have a 4000 watt hifonic brutus amp, if this is the right sub for me what options should i choose, or is there a better sub, if so which one?

I think I'd like to tune it to 30 hz. I want to make a double kerfed slotted box with all 45 degree angles inside. whats the displacement of a 12'' DC lvl 4? what should the diameter of the port be? This is going to be the first box I've ever built any tips will be greatly appreciated!

Hey i need advice on which sub is better. I am looking at subs and i came across a Alpine Type R 12 for 105. I am wondering what kind of sub the Type R compares to. So if you have any idea just feel free to reply.

My sub will be bumping bass for parts of the song then it will cut out and nothing will be coming out of the bass. I have 2 subs, ones a 12 and the other is a 10 kicker compR. I have a 900watt pioneer amp connected to the them both, the bass will cut in and out, what’s the problem?? I’m clueless with subs

I am driving a 2006 Dodge quad cab pick up and need suggestions on speakers. The head unit will be an Alpine 138bt and I just bought a Zed Leviaten. I am waiting on a Fox acoustics 12" sealed box with probably a PowerBass 2X subwoofer going in. The truck currently has Polk Momo 6.5(rear) and 6x9(front) in the doors. I like listening to Rock, slow jazz and acoustical music. I'm looking for some tips as to whether I should keep the Polk, run the sub off the Zed or get another amp for the sub. I would like to hear clarity as much as possible. There are also two tweeters in the dash that I don't know what they are.(installer threw them in for me.) Would the recomendation be a…

Does anyone know the actuall physical dimensions of the crossovers for the 302's? Or the 327's for that matter. I have a piar of 302's ordered but am thinking about switching to the 327's if I get am email back from Nick. I am currently beginning work on my amp rack and would like to know the dimensions. Specifically the l x w. Anyone help out here? I know a few of you guys have the 302's. Maybe Sundownz or Nick can throw out the dims for the 327's. Thanks, Jim

on ebay there is a pair for 600$ i wanted 15" s but this looks like a good idea. the problem is there a single voice coil. whats the benefit to having two coils as opposed to one, and is there quality difference? is it just coil configuration or does it spead the heat out by having 2 coils. i have always heard dual coils are better. can some one please explain.

Ok so i have a 10" alpine type E laying around and i have a 66 bug with an amp missing a sub. So i got this crazy idea of building a box for the sub to put in there. My question, I only build ported for personal reasons but i want to know what should i tune the box too? I'm giving it 1.5ft^3 internal space not counting sub or port. I was originally going to tune to 32hz, i like low bass but i know its only a 10 and not the best, actually i have no experience with alpine. I can only compare it to my RE Audio Sr10 which wasn't to bad with a 1ft^3 box tuned to 30hz in my other bug. What would you tune this sub too? powered by about 200wattsrms. What’s up guys I’m sitting at checkout w/ Two SSA Zcon 18’s and needed some help w/ their impedance options... I’m choosing to go with the Standard Dual 2’s and wondering if anybody knew what the standard 2’s will actually read on a DMM before rise? Only asking because I know SSA’s standard dual 1’s actually read 0.7... So I’m assuming the dual 2’s actually read 1.7 right? ...Help meh please lol

I can't decide, I'm gonna run 2 18" Fi's but which ones and with what options??? It will be driven everyday and i like to play them loud. I will be running them at 4 ohms with 1000 Watts to each one. I want it to be loud but would like for it to be accurate as well. I listin to all kinds of music but mostly rap, If anyone has any suggestion on which series and with what options let me know, its gettin down to the wire and I need to make a decision.
