Which would have deeper and louder bass, which would you choose? I just can't decide on which subs to choose. Either would be in a ported enclosure, also will a 15" sub respond fast enough for classic rock music? Thanks.

Hey guy's let me start off by saying im new to the board, im in the crossfire of buying a mojo 15 or sundown zv4 15, don't really know which is the hardest hitting sub between the two. I have a ford focus se (trunk type) and im debating on doing a custom box in the trunk or inside the car and remove the backseat. So im asking for some help on which sub is the best and the best way to build the box. This will be a single 15" build BTW. I will be using an extra battery, 0 gauge wiring, 3500 amp. Thanks

Hey guys here's the plan. Don't worry about box size, trunk in the cad is huge. I want to run 2 or 4 subs, 15s or 12s. Power isn't a concern, I've got tons of Helix B Ones in the shop to use. What are some cheap subs to run to get as much as I can on music for daily and customer demo. I'm talking cheap. I've got 2 Hifonics HFI12d4's around the shop and they're available but don't know if I'm going to use them. Budget is $200 MAX, the cheaper the better.

  10. Bought a 2013 jeep wrangler 2 dr a few weeks back, and it definitely needs some audio upgrades. have been looking at components, but still pretty new to them and looking for any advice or guidance on what to look for before I waste my money. So far i have been looking at the following. Around $200 Jbl ms62- seems to have pretty good feedback id ctx, cxs- mixed reviews sundown 6.5cs- not alot of feedback but seems positive other than a few "lacking tweeter" comments massive ck6x - Haven't seen much on these crescendo mezzo- not out yet, look good, but tweeter may not work with stock location on dash? Around $100 pioneer d series- mostly positve some negative tweeter…

I have 2 12 inch pioneer champion pro's. The amp I am running is an hifonics zeus 3000 watt running at 4 ohms. When the subs are played there is a knocking sound coming from in the box. I dont think the speaker is blown though because when I put pressure on the back of the box, the knocking sound goes away. Any ideas?

  14. I recieved my xcon 15" a week ago, and Wow! where do I begin? After obsessing over craftsmanship (simple yet eye catching) I ended up using a 3.2 cu. ft. enclosure tuned to 30hz. This beast is powered by a 1000/1 (4 ohms) and a nak for the sound source. If there's a way to describe how hard and clean this thing pounds, It's bruce lee kicking you spot on your chest with the music. This is a great subwoofer, I've heard W7's and this one takes the cake especially at its price. Enough talk here's some photos: My ride quick comparison to alpine type r 12" Boxed, carpeted, ready to thump! I would like to thank Aaron, Mark, and the rest of the people at this company for excel…

looking at revamping my current build in the next few months. im gonna wall off the truck and have about 8-10 cu ft to play with for volume after the port. ive been looking at doing several different driver combos such as 8 10s or 2 18s but open to any other combos people have in mind. gonna keep running the 3500d v2 i have now. i wanna stay around the $1k or subs, and i want to tune around 33hz. going to be a daily driver with some competition use. ive been looking at IA DPs, NSv2s, Zv4s, PSI platform 3s, fully loaded FI BLs,and AA mayhems for 2 18 combinations. i dont think i really have enough space for xcons/zcons. havent seen much in the 10s area i wanna run yet.

After waiting a month and a half after placing my order I finally received my AA mayhem. I will be putting it on a soundqubed 750.1 because I dont plan on upgrading my electrical for a little while. I am currently running 2 aq sdc2.0 and they do slam for what they are. As for the box, It is in 2.5 cu tuned to 32hz with a 4" aeroport. Immediately I noticed the packaging is very well done, and I give huge props to SSA for that aspect. I will most likely give a review for the mayhem once I get my box. Anyways here are some pics

Let me start by saying that in no way, am I bashing this sub. It is god like compared to the mainstream brands I have always run in the past. My current system is 1 12" Fi BL w/ cooling on a Sundown SAZ 1500.v3. The box is right from the cut sheet on this forum, posted by ndmstang 2.4 cu. ft. @ 32 hz. I think. 1/0 ga. big 3 with Shuriken bt-80 in the trunk, stock alt. Sound deadning throughout. 2004 ford focus. I think I overshot my goals a little. During an audio show at the local shop, I hit 131.4 @ 36hz. Doing demos for people with Dubstep, I always hear about their vision blurring and noses itching. "WOW look at your car shake!" On that end of the spectrum I could …

I'm in the market for a 10" sub and only have space for a sealed box (will be fiberglassing to use otherwise wasted space). Been out of the car audio game for a few years and there's a lot more choices these days than I remember. So here goes, I have an old amp laying around that I'm planning on using and potentially upgrading the amp later on. It puts out 400-500wrms. If I upgrade later it'll probably be to something in the 800-1k range. I don't feel the need to go any higher. Any suggestions here to go SSA or FI (with the high Qts option for sealed)? Both subs are somewhat in the same price range.

  19. Well, a midst everything else that's going on around here, subwoofer enclosure, engine replacement, four wheeler repairs (minor), and WORK, the components in my wife's van have all but completely given up the ghost. I do have to say they hung in there for WAY longer than she, I or anyone else would have ever dreamed but everything wears out eventually. They've gotten to the point where they will cut out at high volumes for a short period of time then come back on and it's any combination of the drivers that do it. Just the one tweeter, or maybe both tweeters, or maybe both mids and the tweeters keep going, or sometimes it's a tweeter and a mid on one side or the other.…

I've seen a couple people such as DreDay256, sorry to name drop, running subs from fi or ssa as midbass. So to my question, what are the usable higher frequencies that can produce in a very linear line from your subs in a medium size box (either sealed or ported) fom say 60hz on up to.... What? They would be ran off an aq1200d. Looking for some ideas to think about while I still am thinking about my next build. Would be used between sub (1 18" fi q on a BC2000D, high pass set to 27hz low pass set at 70hz) and midrange 6ND430 that I've ran as low as 100 hz up to 1.5k off an aq1200d. Both amps sending clean signals. 220 amp alt, big 3, and 2 shuriken bats in back. Just loo…
