here are a couple pics of the oz matrix power 10" sub. paid $70 shipped for it. i knew there was a crack in it though.

Plan "A" didn't work out so I need help with forming a plan"B". Plan "A" was to be a single 10" dcon under the passenger side rear seat. Can get the required airspace(.9 net) for the dcon but just cant get the depth to mount it. The sub could be installed but the magnet would literally be sitting on the back of the enclosure or the cone sitting on the floor. I used the search function and see some recommend shallow mount subs while others recommend running eights. In the posts I read there were mixed reviews on the performance of the shallow mount subs while the eights seem to be fairly popular. I would definitley consider the Sundown Sa-8 but I'm not sure I could…

alright guys so iv decided i wont be getting a zcon because i just wont have the electrical for it. what i have is 1200 watts that my eletrical can handle at ease. Im going to sell my bl to fund my next build. Im thinking of instead of getting just 1 sub id like to get 2 12" subs that do around 1200 watts conbined so around 600 each. im trying to get the loudest i can off of 1200 watts pretty much. I was thinking of either 2 ssd, 2 sa12 or 2 w7 but would take alot of saving up lol. I absolutly loved how my 1 12w7 sounded the real deep rich lows with rumble. i seen this one time in a lincoln towncar, made a center channel with two 3 inch subs, and for mids, anyhow i cant seem to find any one that makes 3 inch subs, so i turn to SSA<

Has anybody used these? Interesting specs - XBL^2 motor design, copper coil, 3 shorting rings in the motor, high xmax. You can pick two of these up for $519 plus shipping(?). For car audio use they look like they ought to be good SQ subwoofers with good low end extension in the right enclosure.

after much frustration, a blown amp, and unnecessary investments...my system is finally working...it consists of 2 maw 15s running off a viper 1200.1d, some nextar canadian tire deck, cerwin vega components, infinity rears(now blown, heheh)....i am amazed with it...with a very conservative gain setting, no bass boost or equalization it absolutely pounds, and blends fairly well with the speakers...ive heard alot of bad things about 15 inch subs being muddy and undefinined...but hot damn the maws sound sharp, just as crisp and punchy as a pair of 10s imo...i have yet to actually listen to the system at its full potential, as i blew the rear speakers and im going to put new …

Currently own a Fi SSD 18" subwoofer, however I might be selling it. I'm wanting to upgrade to something with a little more SPL. I am looking at upgrading the components in my doors and I have narrowed it down to these three components. I cannot demo the 165XL because no one around me has any on their demo board. I am wanting to know what you all recommend as far as midbass and accurate sound reproduction which are the better speakers. Any help is greatly appreciated.

would the AQ 1200D be a good combo with two 12" D2 L7's?

Hey guys, so I finished the build for my F150 (Thread "Looking for output in 1.75ft) and I have good news and bad. The enclosure is 2.5ft net tuned using two 3"x15" round ports to what the builder states is 33hz. Subs are a pair of Skar VVX10s on 1100wrms. Well the thing picked up a TON of low end, it pounds out the bottom octave like no tomorrow, with songs like "Late Night Tip" hitting so hard my wife said it shakes her rearview mirror when I'm behind her at a stoplight...lol But that's about it. It doesn't play anything else well. More average bass frequencies (45-55hz I'm thinking) is pretty soft and the kick drums in Metallica's ONE are absolutely nonexistent. I've p…

I have a RF Power T500-BD the birthsheet is rated at 762 @ 1 ohm I want to run 2 subs in sealed enclosure 1^3 ft per enclosure. I was looking at the Audioque SDC2.0 12 its dual 4 ohm sub rated at 250 watts rms. I was also looking at the HDC312 which is rated @ 1000 watts rms and the Sundown SA-12 rated @ 600 watts rms to put in my 2^3 box and don't laugh I never owned Kicker subs before but I found a pair of CVR's for $150 with free shipping. I'm trying to stay around $250. The HDC312 is $260 including shipping and it looks like a beast of a sub to own and I'm really leaning towards that it.

Okay so I just got a sundown ev3 10 installed in my 04 accord coupe. I had a box custom built for it. The box is my first ported box so Im just wondering if this is how it should sound or not. I noticed while playing a few songs that the higher notes that my sealed setups hit well weren't really being played by this sub. So I found a test tone sweep that swept from 25-150hz and played it. Sure enough the sub falls on its face around 50hz, whereas the sealed sub in my gfs car doesn't start to die off until around 70hz. Hey everyone i am looking forward on buying 2 12's fi btl but i dont know what is the maximum amount of watts these subs can actually take. I read on there website that the new n3's take 3000 watts rms but dont know if this is actually true. What is a good amp to power this with? Am looking forward on sum crazy ass bass. And am not too concerned on my budget.

Ok so now that I'm starting over I need to starting planning. Trying to have great output, great SQ, and minimal space used. I have a Sundown 1500 watt amp and am planning on using that. Not exactly looking for the end-all setup but just basically looking for pros & cons for 2 8s vs. 1 10 and what subs would fit this criteria. OH! And my music preferences are all over: I'll be listening to so bass heavy songs one day then I'll be listening to some 70s bands the next day. Any inputs would be greatly appreciated!

would the single 18 btl be louder then the 2 se 15"s ?? or will the 15's cone area make up for the lower rms ?? sorry im still kinda new and not sure how i would figure something like this out

So yesterday I was coming back from college and on the way I was blasting my music like everyday. 10 mins before I got home, I noticed there was no lows No burning smell at all. Which was weird... Today I checked and the subwoofer is not playing. I checked the speaker wire connections, nothing out of place. So I decided to use my DMM and read the coils, since I pushed the cone and it does not look or feel blown at all. I used my DMM and both coils give me no reading. 0.L on the DMM. I checked the coils and nothing seems burned, broken, out of place or moved. I have no idea what could have happened to the sub. Any ideas?

Ok first off if you haven't heard them, don't flame please. I'm just wondering if I should get these, cause I'm going to buy these door panels that originally had a set of these in them (abc6003q I think)...and as all of you know, I'm going for loud so please don't flame like in all my other threads! IF(notice the if) I run these, ill get 2 sets, 2 6.5s and 1 4" in each door, and 1 4" in each kick, along with 1 set of tweets, and the other set of tweets will go in the dash. If I don't run these, should I just run 4 sets of 6.5" components? If so, what are some good brands/models that will get ungodly loud? Not looking to spend a ton, as I'm not going for sq as you all kno…

I'm interested in adding a pair of 6.5" midbass drivers to my kick panels. The 4x6's aren't cutting it in the midbass section. I like the mach 5 mli65's and Dayton DC160S's. I'm up to suggestions other than these two drivers. Any suggestions?

ok. as most of u know i have my 1 12" orion hcca in a nice custom ported box. and i love it. BUT my 1 12 doesnt sound like the good ol way 15's sound. and we all know how 15's sound. low and powerful. latley, i have been eyeballing the sundown audio SA 15's. i would do 2 on 1800 watts and possibly build a wall in my ranger for them. i havent completly decided. what do u all think???? should i stick with my 1 12, or go for the 2 15's???? i have a feeling that my 1 12 will be louder but it dont have the hard hitting that 2 15's would. I have owned the MTX 9500 for some time but I feel its always been in boxes way to small for it and I never get the spl I would think out of a sub this size.
