Subwoofers / Speakers

Audiopulse Epic 8" subwoofer with dual 4ohm voice coils with blue basket and black cone. What i am really interested in is members who have used this model and best results sealed or ported enclosure? What kind of wattage will they take? Where can i buy one since Audiopulse is right out.

I have an AP Epic 8" sub coming in the mail from Mike @ soundsplinter. I have yet to ever hear or play with these and want to know what others have had good results with. (enclosure size, tune freq, port area)

I have one Revo that should be here Friday and want to get another as soon as I can, I was going to put each sub in its own ported camber. Plans for the box size it 4.75 cu.ft. after port and sub(when I find out what that is) at 30 hz. I was wondering the diferences of port placement would make a big difference. The ports would either be placed one at each end of both comming out in the middle next to eachother. These are going into a dodge ram extended cab (rear seat gone of course). The subs and ports fireing up. If anyone has any suggestions with the box size or port I would love to hear them. Also do these subs like lots of port? Is 70 cu.in to big for each sub…

Does anyone have experience with Audiopulse subs? My favorite sub setup that I had was 2 JL Audio W3D4 12s sealed with 500 watts. To me they got decently loud and sounded good as well. I was strongly considering a pair of RL-i 12s sealed, however they don't make 12s in the RL-i series anymore. Someone on here told me the Audiopulse Epic subs are the same as the RL-i series. I'm looking are a pair of 12s sealed that'll knock harder than my W3D4 12s and yet also sound good with 600 - 700 watts.

on ebay there is a pair for 600$ i wanted 15" s but this looks like a good idea. the problem is there a single voice coil. whats the benefit to having two coils as opposed to one, and is there quality difference? is it just coil configuration or does it spead the heat out by having 2 coils. i have always heard dual coils are better. can some one please explain.

thinking of either running 3 AQ SDC2.5 15's or 2 HDC3 15's...wondering what to tune them at. ive heard around 38-40 but that seems high. I had 2 BL 18's @ 33hz and liked the way that sounded so im thinking around 33-35 for the AQ's. Opinions por favor.....

alright I've been asking alot about differant subs and I'm sorry to bother everyone with it just trying to get info before building for next year. so as the ? says how is the AQ stuff and where can I find specs for them? Do they have a site and or a contact #? thanks

I would like some of you to rank these by clarity at high volume. Which are really designed to keep up with extreme bass with having to opt for Selenium, B&C, or Eminence. I'm thinking about doing 3 component sets for front stage? I am upgrading my power on this sub from a Viper 1200, which already got it loud as piss, to a US Amps 07 model Merlin MD3D for daily street beating. How will the sub take the power? I have heard that in this power range in when the sub will really come to life. This won't be too much for daily will it? And what kind of increase in output can I expect? I know it may seem like a dumb question but any respones are welcome.

Hey guys i dont know if this is the right place to post this but bare with me im a newbie to this sight... anyways i bought a 15'' audioque hdc3 d2 about 3 weeks ago once i got it i played test tones 25-30hrz on minimal power about 300-500 rms just to break it in get everything loose i did this for about 24hrs plus when i was doing that i made my box to what dj (i guess the owner) told me that is 4.8 cuft tuned to 36 hrz with 72sqin of port area i did the double baffle internal bracing aswell so after i finsihed breaking it in still lil stiff but nothing near what it was when i got it put sub and ported box in my truck and played some music ranging from 25hrz and up so my…

with shipping the hdc3 is 339 and the bl with the ups i need will also be 339. i am getting the hdc3 with copper coil... if thats what i get. i have an AQ2200 amp so i am wanting a pair of 18s.... i have been told great things about both subs. i had a BL a month ago and it was great. but i want to be smart about this and get what is best for what i am going to be doing to my car. the hdc has a xmas of 17-19 mm were the bl has like 21 i think. the bl also has a higher sensitity of 92.6 and the hdc3 has a sensitivity of like 89.something but just because it has a higher xmas and sensitivity does it mean it will be louder? i am going to buy a pair of 18s but which one of the…

hey, i've been looking into some different subs and the audioque caught my eye. im not gonna lie im not asking for sq or anything, its my daily driver but im not an sq guy ( dont want it to sound poopy but you know what im saying) i would power them with 3000 ( for both ) and i want it to sound musical, what size box would you recomend? how small would they work in and what tuning would you use, i've read that you should tune the hdc3's higher ( above 35 hz, if i read right ) thank you for helping out a noob -tyler

With the BTL being fully loaded and the HD being D2, which has the best ability to create the highest spl in a proper box with 2 Audioque 2200's

Well, this is my first post here, and I didn't see anything on audioque over here, so I figured I'd share my experience. I just got my LW8 last week, and built the box DJ recommended for me, albeit a little lower tuning than recomended. First impressions running off 350ish wats from the bazooka amp is impressive. This little 8 (weighs about 15lbs) can really move some air. And it sounds good too, I was surprised but this sub is fast but low and not too punchy. Even with just one (i've got another on the way) it shakes everything in my car and everyone thinks i've got a 12" sub back there. These speakers have sewn on leads, and I cannot find out the wire size. I cannot find it on the website, and I have tried to Google it, etc. Does anybody know the wire size? IE: what gauge it is.

Overall I was wondering the pros and cons of each of the woofers. I would be putting four of them in my trunk. Sq isnt much of a priority. Which would be louder and handle more power? Im lookin to run about 1000 rms each on whatever one i get.

i will be putting a system in my wifes chrysler 300 and i was leaning towards audioque sdc 2.5 and a audioque 1200d, i will be using 2 subs in a ported enclosure, my question is how do audioque's hold up against say ssa or incriminator 187's

is there a bid difference. how do the compare in quality and loudness. which one would be better. the audioque are 139 and the ssd 179. any other subs within that price range that are loud?

I've been researching some different subs that are priced around 100 to 150$. and i've been looking into the audioque sdc2.5 series ( as the title says ). I'm looking for a daily sub that can take a beating all day at rms and i wont have to worry about it. ( obviously right amp settings, etc ) I was thinking about either a wall in my explorer with 4 15's ( clamshell type box) or do a crx style box with 4 12's. I just got two Audioque HD 12's and I need to know if they will perform well using the SSA XCON dual 12 box design. They will be powered by a 3000d in a 90 Mustang. I sent the box designs to a builder but he is not familier with Audioque. What do you guys think? Need feedback ASAP!!
