hey guys! just checking if you had any information about the Audioque HDC3 sub? I've seen some things on the internet about them being comparable to the BL but judging by the specs, they appear to be a bit more SPL oriented then the BL's let me know if you've heard anything good or bad! or which one you'd pick between HDC3 or BL

which one will be the loudest in an optimal box

I have been running a Fi Q 18 tuned at 28Hz off 1500w RMS for a few years now and I love the way it sounds however, I think I want to upgrade to get more output. I will also be upgrading to 2000-2500w RMS. Honestly I really want more of what I have now in terms of sound because I love the way it sounds but I do not want to get a second one because I do not have the room and I do not want to upgrade to 3000-3500w RMS. I do not compete and I never will. I do not care what numbers I hit or what it sounds like outside the vehicle I just want loud good sounding music. I listen to almost strictly electronic music which to be honest is kind of all over the place in terms of freq…

so, i just got alpine type s 6x9, and wow.... before, when bassy notes hit, it made a weird noise, but now its awesome! sounds super clear! so i wanna replace the rest, but i dont know what i want... should i go alpine all around? i dont wanna replace the 6x9s again, atleast anytime soon. i just wanna get rid of stock for now. later il upgrade to alot better everything. but right now, i think i wanna change the tweeters now. cuz they arent clear. theyre kinda.... not staticy, but like... its like theyre almost busted.i dont think they are, but it has that kinda... paper like sound. so i wanna do those next, then the door speakers, then my center dash speaker. any recommen…

Ok the xxx is loud and SQ right and the SX is the so ccalled budget spl sub, the SX is louder than the xxx then what is the point of buying the xxx when the SX is cheaper??? just thought i'd ask what is the Root mean square of the SX anyway..

Alright I would like to ask all of you by experience what do you think about the comparison? I have 2 12w7's running off a 1000/1 soon to buy another 1000/1. What do you think, I know that the btl subs have high spl but chit on sq. Say that both systems have 2000 watts of clean power running to them which one would have a more db's.

So, I recently purchased a set of ID X65 and XS28 to run active. Got everything installed and working correctly yesterday and today one of the tweeters just stopped dead in it's tracks. I'd say about an hour of play time. I tested the driver for continuity and got nothing so it's definitely the tweeter that failed. I am running a RF T400-4 with the tweeters on front channels and the mids on the rears. I set gains with a DD-1 to the 0db track and all pass for xover on the amp. I crossed the tweets at 2.5k with 24db slope to start with. I am using the network mode on my pioneer 80prs for xover duty. Was this just a faulty unit? Or am I doing something wrong? Hey guy's let me start off by saying im new to the board, im in the crossfire of buying a mojo 15 or sundown zv4 15, don't really know which is the hardest hitting sub between the two. I have a ford focus se (trunk type) and im debating on doing a custom box in the trunk or inside the car and remove the backseat. So im asking for some help on which sub is the best and the best way to build the box. This will be a single 15" build BTW. I will be using an extra battery, 0 gauge wiring, 3500 amp. Thanks

Well this weekend has been eventful. I was sure I wasn't going to have enough time to do all 3 and I was correct in my assumption. However, I took a giant stab at it and have took some pics along the way. I have been doing this a little at a time so if you have any advice then by all means. This is my first attempt at reconing any sub and I will be the first to tell you that if anyone uses as much glue as what came on these things then just let someone else do it if the price is negligible. Hey guys, looking to upgrade soon. I just got my Sundown SAZ-1500 in the other day, running it at 2 ohm on 2 Memphis M-Class 10's ported and Its not very loud at all. I was looking at running 2 12's possibly ported. Or maybe 1 or 2 15's in Sealed enclosure. It's going in the back seat of a Toyota Tacoma x-cab so I dont have alot of room. I need subs that I can run the pair at 1 ohm. I originally was thinking of either 2 Fi SSD's or 2 Fi Q's. I looked into the SI Mag's but they would put me at .5 ohm and I'm not doing that. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ok I am planning on getting 2 Fi BTLs Dual 1Ohm, and running them to a Sundown 3500D, but I seen the Mayhems and started thinking, I know you cant really hear the difference, but Im looking for the most, should I get two Dual 1 and run them to a 4500D? the box will be 2.5^3, 32-34hz IDEALLY. Electrical will be big 3, not sure if I 1 or 2 XS3100s, should run around 13+V(you get the point), 220A HO alt. Budget : $7500, gotta love the army bonuses.

So i'm getting bored... i have a sundown 1500 and i want to try out some different subs.... thinking about maybe three different subs.... the icon or the mag or the nightshade.... wut are the pros and cons of both.... and if you have any personal experience with them please share... thanks!

What does inverting the subwoofer do for performance?? Is this completely cosmetic or does it do something differently than normally mounting the sub?? Also, How can you mount a sub backwards if the trim piece only fits on one way?? Is there a different trim piece needed to do this type of mounting?? Thanks everybody.

so, once again... i was surfing the local craigslist looking and hoping id find a nice single 12 and came across 2 kicker solo x 18s... one with a new recone and one used. He was asking $400 each so i decided to lowball the ish outta him.. ended up getting them for... a more than good deal. idk what it is with ppl around cincinnati, but they make me happy haha. almost as good as the aq3500 i got for $150 lol sorry, i had to share!

I'm thinking about doing a sealed setup under the back seats of my truck for days that I need my back seat. Do SA-8s like sealed boxes? I have an AQ2200D, so if I'm not mistaken, I can run a 2 ohm setup at around 550 watts per sub. Goals for this system: Sound excellent. Not looking to break windows with this system, I just want it to sound great and get pretty loud. I have my 18 for getting loud. I would just like to have some bass for the periods of time I need my back seat. SA-8s might not be my best option. I could do a pair of 10s or maybe even 12s. I don't want to spend any more than $400 for both subs and box materials. Any suggestions for what would work for me?

Well im just starting to learn about the car audio scene...i have a 1999 Jeep Cherokee stock and trying to find the best setup i can get for under a grand for just the sub and amp...hopefully without having to upgrade the electrical alot... i think it would be best to go wit a single sub instead of spending more on 2 subs and cheaper amp...figured better amp would be worth it in the long run..so either looking for one 12" or a 15" sub, space ain't a issue...i mainly listen to rap and r&b...basicly im looking to get a nice clear sub that has plenty of bass wen i want it, not looking for SPL just a good quality daily driver...probally going to go with a ported box also.…

So, a friend of mine just got two JL 12W7's...sexy lookin subs. Before he kills my system I am curious, how do these subs stand up. Are they very good subs....SPL, SQ, etc. Tryin to find out before he puts me to far to shame, lol.

Looks like this new awesome sub will actually be going into my girlfriends alero. The goal that I am trying to acomplish is to make everything hiddin from the trunk view. So the sub will fire into the cabin, as well as the port. I would like to seal the box from the trunk, and match the fabric from inside the trunk so you can't tell that she has anything in there. I want this sub to get reallllly loud, it needs to sound pretty good too.. but loud is good I am pretty good at building things... i have built a few sealed boxes that worked really well, but i have yet to experiment with a ported enclouser.
